We hired Laura because we wanted a beautifully pulled together kitchen remodel, which blended our newish existing floor tiles and the original cupboards, which needed refurbishing with everything else new. Laura did not disappoint. We now have a gorgeous kitchen that functions better and that we are proud to show off to friends and family. Every element goes together beautifully; the granite counters are gorgeous, the modern sink and faucet are a joy to use, the painted cabinets look like new and we wonder why we didn't utilize hardware on the cabinets long ago. The backsplash is beautiful and sparkly. The old-fashioned florescent ceiling is replaced by modern can lights. Creative battery operated under-cabinet lighting is budget friendly. The artistic pendant light matches well with the hardware and new appliances. All the craftsman Laura contracted with did a great job and the one issue we had related to the granite was resolved to our satisfaction. She was there to oversee the work during all stages. We even trusted her to run everything while we took a 2 week vacation. That actually is a great way to do it. Pre-plan everything with Laura and go on an extended vacation. Ask Laura about how that could work. It may work out perfectly and your remodel is complete when you return. Even if it takes longer, at least it's less time you've had to live through a remodel. I contacted Laura due to her high reviews on build.com. I needed my Redlands house redecorate to look like a model home. It did not take long to see that Laura really listened to what I wanted so she could design a house I would love. Initially, I had trouble releasing control but that never bothered Laura. She worked with me and made sure I was comfortable through the whole project. Looking back, I wished I had taken advantages of all of her amazing ideas and suggestions instead of holding back due to my own fears. Since working with her on that house, Laura has worked on 3 other homes for me and I cannot imagine designing or decorating another house without her in my corner. She is one of the best in the industry. She has a natural eye for design, an extremely workable personality and the ability to professionally design per your specification and desires without imposing her likes and dislikes on your project. We hired Laura in October. The work did not begin until late November and was to be done by December 31st. There were a few mistakes in communication with the contractor, she didn't give them the correct measurements of the new shower. So that had to be ripped out and started again. The second delay was the tub. The one we had picked with her help did not work with the plumbing . So we had to get a shorter tub then we wanted. The next delay was the lights. The first and second choice she showed us were out of stock. So we pulled up lights on the internet and showed her 3 we liked that were in stock. She picked the one that was best for her design. The mirrors were perfect. The next delay was the shower she forgot ( it was in her notes) we wanted a bar to slide the hand held head to different heights The bathroom looks great but it was not done until late February. As for the budget she went 5 thousand over. So no I would not use her again. read more

Laura has been Godsend. We wanted a lot of work done in our home and the thought of having to find all the different contractors, products and stay in budget seemed overwhelming. Laura promised to guide us and help us through the process all the while giving us room to explore our own ideas. Laura kept us on track, on time and in budget! Any delays were because we couldn't make up our mind or added more work... which happened often! Her contractor, subs and technicians have all been gifted craftsmen as well as being pleasant and accommodating in our home! We now have a massive 4 car garage/workshop for my husband, a large master suite (bathroom, walk-in closet) with an added office AND a wonderful "California room" added on to our home. Timeline went way over expectations. The attention to detail was lacking. We hired her to do a master bath remodel, including decor, and all we got was the remodel. I ended up doing all the decor myself. A year later, the grout is cracking and separating but Laura is not answering my texts to have the tile guy come fix it. Definitely not worth the money. I had the pleasure of working with Laura on a kitchen remodel. As a contractor, I work with designers all the time and often find it frustrating. (Designers often have an idea of what looks nice but don't always have an aptitude for making it work in a specific project.) However, Laura was so thorough and detail oriented that our job was made easy. She has a wonderful gift of being able to visualize an amazing design AND understands how to communicate the details to assure the design can be executed.
