Redlands Floorhouse came out for a 3rd bedroom project today for us. While we had a very good experience with installers on two previous projects , this team of two men left us with a total disaster to clean up . You would not have known it when peeking into the room until you began to investigate . They left dirt, sediment and soot so thick on all of my windows , plantation shutters , sills, baseboards , door frames , handles as well as my outside patio items where we had been storing the bedroom items so they could get the project accomplished. We have had to work all afternoon in getting the room up to par for our painter to come as well our new bedroom furniture that follows . We promptly advised Eric, the project manager, who replied that he would "talk" to them . To future floor patrons of this business: Be prepared to clean for hours post installation. And, don't expect to find your home in the condition it started in if you go with Redlands Floorhouse . read more

Just wanted to advise future floor customers. We have used Redlands Floorhouse for our 3 bedrooms in our home in the last 18 months for 3 separate projects . The 1st two projects went quite smooth , pleasant staff at the store , appropriate recommendations and quality luxury vinyl laminate placed. The installation crews were different each time but were professional , quality and left both floors just great and ready for use . Our final project was our largest project, the primary bedroom . The same flooring was to be placed . A two man team arrived (new to us). I have no idea what their names were nor did they ever know mine since they referred to me as "hey!" The first nuance was being asked to remove everything from our walk in closet due to their potential debris . Was surprising that this was never mentioned by project manager as he was always on point to make sure the room was otherwise cleared out from all furniture which we obliged . We very quickly removed all clothing and asked them to hang plastic as most contractors would for a job like this . No other requests were made . At the end of the job when they showed me the new floor in place , all I could see was their shoe prints all over it . I knew that they would clean that up . After they left and finished quite early, we handed them our payment . Due to our prior experience with the workmanship I didn't feel a need to play Detective on their ability to leave the room as they found it. What I soon discovered was a two hour clean up job was in store . Layers of dirt , sediment etc was discovered on all my plantation shutters , window sills , back of doors, handles and baseboards . I took a wet Swifter to the floors as all you could see was scuff marks and dirt when you got down to look at it . I filled 3 wet mops of dirt and then more from cleaning off all the dirt left on the windows , frames, doors and baseboards. Further , they had set their saw up outside our French door and were kind enough to leave all their wasted product on my outside windows , patio, doormat, storage containers , pillows and light fixture that had been placed out there so they had clear access to lay the flooring . What a disaster ! The project manager , Eric, was notified and he said he would, " talk " to them . I have my painter and new furniture arriving so there was an immediate need to take care of the mess . Hope this prepares the next client for their project needs to be aware of. read more

I struggle to write this review, as we needed new carpet so badly, and I am happy with the carpet. And the people seem nice enough... BUT we started with thick carpet, and chose thin carpet. Without knowing that this would make our baseboards float an inch off the floor in many places, looking absolutely TERRIBLE. Now this is a type of problem you would expect people at a flooring company to be aware of. Especially when they've been in your home, measured existing carpeted areas in person, and you've blathered on endlessly about how much you hate the thick shag carpet that previous owners had installed. These installers waited until every inch of our previous carpet was ripped out, leaving bare subfloors and tack strips, before they let us know this was an issue. What were we supposed to do then? Decline getting the carpet we'd already had them order? With the $2000 deposit we'd already given them. They perhaps could have offered us thicker pad (which we'd have paid for!!!) or at the very least warned us of this problem ahead of ripping out the old carpet. Now I have a home with furniture everywhere, a husband who has been scrambling for a week plus to decide what to do about this problem, and 3 kids who want the house back to normal so they can access their toys. This is not a flipper home, an air bnb, etc. This is my families home, which is now going to take thousands more to make look like it should. Guests coming into our home have already commented on it. We don't want Redlands Floorhouse to come fix it, even if they could, because now we don't trust them. We are not sure what to do. But we know this could have been a lot easier on us, had REDLANDS FLOORHOUSE, the so called floor experts warned us on a topic they should be very knowledgeable about. To Redlands Floorhouse: please don't let this happen to other people again. Warn the next customers who change carpet thicknesses, this should be part of your services. read more

We had vinyl flooring installed. The floor needed leveling but they were unwilling to do it and did not recommend anybody to repair subfloor. The floor feels spongy in areas that needed self leveling cement. They would only provide 1 bag - very rude customer service. Wish we would have had someone else install the flooring and level the floor because now we have a cracked planked from the plank separating due to the uneven floor. read more

We moved into our house in 2009. It was a remodel from the ground up. We have gone through numerous construction companies - both licensed and unlicensed. Maybe it was just our bad luck but we had major issues with 60% of them. We had to report most to the CSLB and took some to court. For us, it is a special joy when we find a company that actually does what they say they'd do for the given price. Redlands Floorhouse is one of those places. We were very limited on time (taking a couple of days off from work to be there) and Brian met the time constraints, working solo on half of the project. HERE'S THE EXTRA MILE PART: After the floor had been put in, we noticed one hardwood plank that stood out at the transition. The plank was very light, compared to the more amber-colored flooring around it. It made it look as if the bedroom and hallway had two types of wood. Brian came the next day to remove the one plank and replaced it by matching it up with a more suitable one. It was a lot of work, but Brian came on a Sunday to do it. That is the "Old School" customer service that we haven't seen in a long time. It is greatly appreciated and we are already making plans for other projects with Redlands Floorhouse. Bravo! read more

I took many years shopping for the vinyl flooring for my mobile home. I am a designer and finding the right product was a struggle since I had expensive taste. I also had economic limitations. In shopping around, the product which I could get wholesale went up. The hassle of buying wholesale, getting it delivered, then getting an installer made me decide to avoid doing it on my own. The product was already chosen, perhaps a higher grade than normal. The estimate turned out to be way lower than what Eric came up with, but he seemed to have more knowledge than the other two firms. They said it would be two days but as it was a difficult older unit and it took three but no complaints. Brain and helper were excellent and did great job. Old laminate and VAT had to be stripped along with old base. They had pride in their work. read more

They have been doing this for years, and I can see why. Granted, they are not the cheapest when it comes to flooring, but like most industries, that's a good thing. I had these guys install engineered hardwood in the majority of my house, with the remainder being a product they had not used before, but felt confident enough to tackle the challenge. I've been reluctant to post this because the owners are nice, but the installers are receiving 2 stars. They floated an even floor and now every time I walk on the floor I can feel the variations under the faux wood planks. They tried fixing the biggest dip in the floor, but there are so many areas that are uneven, I avoid going upstairs due to the stress of it. It's so bad that my guests comment on the flaws. I had Redlands Floorhouse install my carpet 14 years ago and it lasted wonderfully and still looked good when we decided to go with Laminate floors. There was a lot to choose from and good quality and the staff was extremely helpful in giving us useful tips on choosing the right floor. We had several conversations with them and checked out samples several times before we made our decison. We had our Laminate floors installed two weeks ago and they look absolutely beautiful! So the brand new, loaded-for-bear, sales gal writes last summer to say: Hey! You've got to remove that lousy rating on Yelp! You don't sound like you're even a real customer. Are you a competitor of ours? And so on, blah, blah, blah. So, of course, there's a series emails where I re-verify and reiterate everything and now she realizes Redlands Floorhouse has really screwed up our flooring and gee she's sorry I feel that way (don't you just love the non-apology apologies?) and she'll check into it with the owners. Now I know fixing this mess is about a $15,000 - 20,000 problem, at least at retail. So I'm expecting a "here's what we can do" short of replacing the whole floor. But, nothing. No calls. No returned calls. Nothing. Then I look at their reviews and find our buddy Stasinos and his unalloyed appreciation for the company and I realize they've found a cheaper solution to their on-line problem: cousin Stasinos and his untrammeled email address will fix this right up. My advice: DON'T USE THIS COMPANY (and ignore Stasinos). read more

We shopped around at three other flooring stores in the Redlands area, with a particular interest in vinyl flooring, as we were looking to remodel a rental unit and didn't want to pay a high price. We were blown away at the HUGE selection of vinyl flooring that Redlands Floorhouse had to choose from. They had a nice range of prices in the latest styles and designs. This was the only place where we found so many styles we liked. At other showrooms we felt like we had to settle for what they had, not what we liked. Redlands Floorhouse was so kind to let us take all of the many samples home. They trusted us and didn't take 20 minutes writing down all of the sample style numbers like other places did. While our main focus was vinyl, we couldn't help but notice the MASSIVE selection of wood flooring samples to choose from. They also have tile, laminate and carpet (I can't be certain they have carpet, but they do have large area rugs). Eric was fantastic!!! He was very thorough with his estimate and precise with the measurements. He is very attentive and welcoming. He fit our job in right away when we said we needed it done a.s.a.p. We really commend him for treating us with respect. Other flooring places treated us differently than customers who were looking at more expensive flooring, but not Redlands Floorhouse. Eric worked with us to get costs down and sympathized with us and understood that we were taking on a lot of costly household projects. We really appreciate the time he took to listen and help us find a compromise style that was cost-friendly and that came in a roll size small enough so we weren't paying for double the yardage. The installers are very professional and meticulous in their work. The new flooring looks like it's always been there because they did such a superb job. They did an amazing job caulking around the tub and toilet and the baseboard moldings were stained to match the existing wood almost perfectly (Get this - another flooring company actually wanted us to stain our own moldings). They cleaned up after they finished, to where you would never know they were even there if it weren't for the new floor. They even were kind enough to move the refrigerator back for us without charging. We are so relieved to have discovered Redlands Floorhouse and are kicking ourselves for not finding them sooner. Eric and his team (Mike and Brian) did such a fantastic job with refinishing our floors. We had this ugly, worn out, yellowed parquet flooring that was probably original to our 1955 house and we thought we had to rip them out to really get what we want. Well, Eric came by and showed us that these floors were actually made of high quality oak and all they would need would be some refinishing and a darker stain to update their look. Plus, we would be saving about $2-5k by refinishing instead of replacing. We were sold (mostly on price, I have to admit). Let me tell you, they did a wonderful job! Our floors look brand new and they make the whole house look so much better. They got out ALL of the scratches, dings, warping, etc. and stained it a beautiful walnut color. I'm so in love with them and I never, ever thought I'd say that before. Plus, everyone we worked with was incredibly professional and easy to work with (even when we had trouble picking out the stain color hours before the stain needed to be applied). Redlands Floorhouse did the original installation of the wood floors in my entire house (before I lived in it). I just had them back for a re-coat and they did an amazing job. In addition to the floors looking stunning, the workers were prompt, extremely pleasant, and somehow managed to get all the furniture back in exactly the right place, in spite of the fact that I wasn't even home when they did it and had to leave another family member in charge. Removing all the furniture in someone's house is no small job and yet they broke absolutely nothing. They even made sure to hook up my Wi-Fi, TV's and computers properly again when they were done.
