Steer clear. Product doesn't match code, and customer service is pathetic.

We had to paint the interior and exterior of our home and required quite a bit of paint. We first started with the big box store and purchased paint. First of all, there simply arent enough paint reps for the customer needs and so there would be times when we would wait and there would only be one paint rep. Not only that, they just arent as knowledgeable as the experts in the sherwin William's store. In short, we spend a ton of money on paint that the big box store messed up and then we went to sherwin William's to get everything corrected. Marvin and ryan are amazing sherwin William's experts and they helped us not only fix the headache paint tragedy we suffered but they also helped us with other projects that we have been planning and working on. We still lost some money because of the big biz store fiasco and the mix ups that their reps caused but in the end we were able to renovate our home and it came out fine. In short, do it right the first time and go to the experts at the sherwin William's store. Thank you again marvin and ryan you guys are awesome.

I visited this location with a particularly challenging, custom specialized paint request. The Professional that helped me was amazing. Her name is Scout. She analyzed the request that I presented she created a custom solution produced the paint and ensure that I had all the necessary tools to complete the job that I was working on all in a very short time. When you visit this location, ask for scout she is awesome at customer satisfaction and has a vast knowledge of her profession. She is a major asset to the company..

This is just a friendly reminder, in life you get what you paid for. Don't waste your time, money…read moreand energy going to those Big Box retailers, because you will never get great customer service like Dunn-Edwards. This is my second time coming back and I had the pleasure to work with Ms. Monica. The moment I entered the store she greeted me with a beautiful and pleasant smile, mind you, I never met her before. Right away she asked what type of paint I was looking for and I had also brought in a sample of the interior paint I needed. Within a short time she got me the right paint and the overall experience was excellent. Again, I don't mind paying a little more for high quality paint and above all it's a great value because in the end this quality paint last longer. Last, the store is super clean and organized and I am happy to spend my money here because I can assure you, no way, you will get this high level of customer service elsewhere. Again thank you Monica keep up the great work and I will continue to come to this store and recommend to my friends and family. Thanks for reading

I walked into Dunn-Edwards as a business owner looking to purchase paint. I left feeling dismissed,…read moreprejudged, and deeply disrespected--by the store manager. Cynthia asked whether I had an account. I said I might, but nothing came up when my phone number was checked. When I asked whether an account offered special pricing, she responded, "Yeah, but not for one time." I was standing there in my full company uniform. I run AMI Handyman Services LLC, serve the South Bay, and regularly purchase paint for my customers' projects. Yet instead of asking about my business or explaining the account options, she assumed I was a one-time customer. Even when she offered an application, she repeated that it was "not for one time." Why keep repeating that instead of giving a prospective business customer a respectful explanation of the requirements? I was asking how to establish an account. That should have been an opportunity to build a business relationship, and the way I was treated shut that opportunity down. As a dark-skinned customer, this interaction left me questioning whether my appearance influenced the treatment I received. I cannot know what motivated Cynthia's response, but I can describe its impact: I felt judged and unwelcome before anyone took the time to understand my business. Coming from a store manager, that is especially disappointing. Professionalism should begin with listening and treating people with basic respect. Dunn-Edwards, is this how you want prospective business customers welcomed? I would appreciate a response from district or corporate management addressing this interaction and explaining how business account inquiries are supposed to be handled.

As someone who has been watching woodworking videos online for a long time and just starting to get…read moreinto the hobby it was a great experience. The people are friendly and helpful, and it helped me feel less intimidated to ask about things. Some stuff to know for beginners like me. First if you're getting wood bring a measuring tape, they have some there too if you need. There is a finished lumber section in the back, lots of S4S lumber of different varieties that you can choose from. Theres a desk in that corner where you tell the people what you want and how to cut it. They give a couple free cuts with each purchase. For the long pieces that are standing up, you can ask for them to cut a piece and put the rest back, but only if the piece you put back is 8ft or longer. The 'B' means they charge by board foot. Its really easy to calculate, they have signs with the calculation, 'L' means they charge by the foot. For sheet goods like plywood, you park your car at a number in the back past the gate. Then you ask someone at one of the counters for what you want. You are also free to walk into the big warehouse outside the building in the back to look around at the sheet goods. You buy the plywood at one of the counters and tell them how you want it cut up. They'll give you a paper after you pay that you take to the booth in the back. You tell them what number you are parked at, then someone will go get the wood, cut it up, and deliver it to your car. Overall I'm really happy with the experience and am looking forward for a chance to go again. I managed to fit two 8.5ft long boards into my suv along with other various goods. It barely fit but now I'm excited to have lots of wood to work with.

The section where they have the decking displays was in complete disarray. There were boxes everywhere. No organization at all. I had a difficult time finding the samples and nobody at all paid any attention to me. I finally got the attention of someone to assist, but he seemed to be in a rush and I don't think I got all the samples I wanted. I then asked this person about a miter saw I was interested in and he seemed oblivious to what I was asking him. All I wanted to know was if they had a new one in the box available. All I saw was the floor display. He then just told me to ask someone at the desk. If I wanted service like this, I would just go to Home Depot!

Fast-forward to now: our painter swears by Benjamin Moore, so back I went, bracing for déjà vu. Instead, I was greeted immediately by Bridget, who turned what I expected to be a color-chip scavenger hunt into an unexpectedly pleasant experience. She knew the shades I mentioned off the top of her head and led me straight to them. No wandering the aisles squinting at the teeny tiny names of 400 slightly different blues. She even suggested complimentary colors I never would've picked on my own. (Thank you, Bridget!) The paint store visit I was dreading turned into a breeze. Not sure if management changed or if they just got smarter about hiring, but Bridget is a serious asset. If I were the owner, I'd guard Bridget like the last gallon of paint during a supply shortage. Will definitely return to this store for paint and more of her spot-on design advice.
