Instead, I was greeted immediately by Bridget, who turned what I expected to be a color-chip scavenger hunt into an unexpectedly pleasant experience. She knew the shades I mentioned off the top of her head and led me straight to them. No wandering the aisles squinting at the teeny tiny names of 400 slightly different blues. She even suggested complimentary colors I never would've picked on my own. (Thank you, Bridget!) The paint store visit I was dreading turned into a breeze. Not sure if management changed or if they just got smarter about hiring, but Bridget is a serious asset. If I were the owner, I'd guard Bridget like the last gallon of paint during a supply shortage. Will definitely return to this store for paint and more of her spot-on design advice.

Manny's your guy. He helped me find a resolution for my bathroom project and everything else I needed to complete it. I've been to the store in Mid-City/La Cienega, in Torrance and this location and this San Pedro location is the smallest of the 3, It shares a parking lot in the rear with its neighbors, Waba Grill and Little Caesars, and some apartments. When I visited, there was only one employee, but there happened to be 4 or 5 customers all needing a bit more than just ringing items off the shelves, so there was a bit of a wait. The employee took care of each customer in a professional manner but my impatience made it feel like the old guy ahead of me in the queue was asking questions for all eternity and the employee was giving equally lengthy and foolproof answers, replete with footnotes and references. Good thing I wasn't really in a hurry, only in my mind I want to be in 10 places at once, but I did eye that unisex restroom in the back behind the area where they mix paints. I was calculating whether I should take advantage of a most-likely clean restroom here, or take a gamble when nature calls. At last, relief comes when a second employee clocks in. I've never noticed this but because I was trying to find things to look at while waiting around and not making eye contact with other customers, I learned that you can get wallpaper from Sherwin-Williams. There were samples of wallpaper in giant binders, organized by color families and pattern styles, and there were shelves of them. This store (maybe all stores do and i've just never noticed) also has a locked glass display with the most expensive thing selling for over $700. Unfortunately, the price tag associated with this item made no impression in my mind while I was desperately fighting boredom. My new year's resolution was to minimize the time my old astigmatic eyeballs spends on the phone screen scrolling through garbage content. I failed miserably. That hand of mine reached to the back pocket, thumb typed in that passcode so fast that I didn't realize what it did until it was too late. I I think it had to have been like 30+ minutes later when I finally got my 2 gallons of primer and paint, over $120. Damn. Not their fault but it was the most time I ever spent at a paint store, especially when I already have the color ready to go and everything. If I have to get paint in this area, I wouldn't mind coming here again

It was now time to do research on finding the best brands of water heaters out there. After studying the pros and cons of various brands, I decided to go with Bradford White due to their use of higher quality materials and reputation for being durable. Some brands like Rheem that used to be good have started to manufacture their less expensive products in other countries and they just don't last. Buying from chains like Home Depot and Lowe's isn't the best idea since the box chains carry the name brands but they are a cheaper line made specifically for the chains. Plumbing supply stores carry pro grade product that will last much longer Ferguson provided me with a quote quickly with a price much better than Reback's in my area. Steve at the counter and Nick the manager provided excellent service and I couldn't be happier with the purchasing process. My contractor will be picking it up in the morning and doing the installation tomorrow so I'm pretty jazzed about that. Always get at least a couple of prices for plumbing equipment and installation. I saved about $1,000 by checking with my contractor that did my kitchen remodel. A plumber in the area I used before quoted me a crazy price for the job. I already knew the price range of the heater so the rest was an outrageous labor charge for a couple of hours of work. It's your money so if a plumber gets bent out of shape about getting another estimate, you know there's something wrong. Anyway, Ferguson is A-1 in my book. Great selection and service.

[Experience]: They have every lamps that you can possibly think of - table lamps, chandeliers, ceiling fans/lights, floor lamps, etc. The shop has an eye-popping selection of different lamps and I appreciate how I was able to actually touch and see lamps in person vs shopping lamps on the internet. [Ordering]: I ultimately saw one floor lamp (Barnes and Ivy Forrest Sequoia Tree 61" Wicker Shade Rustic Floor Lamp - $249.99) and two table lamps (360 Lighting Fraiser 23 1/2" High Tapered Faux Wood Modern Table Lamp - $54.99) that I really like. I ended up placing an online order because I was able to receive 10% off by joining Lamps Plus email list (check the website for the current email sign-up discount for new customers). Battery was dating 9/25, and always started up perfectly as it should since it's a new battery, perfectly functioning alternator, and no high powered sound system. I had high expectations since the manager helped me. When I picked the battery up after the, "charging" was completed, not only had he failed to do a simple task that's advertised as a free service, he gave me the run around telling me my battery was bad, and I should buy a new one, "but he would charge it and see how it goes". I'm not an idiot, when i plugged it back it it was still completely dead. I have 22 years of experience working on my own cars and have had 4 years of SCCA experience professionally racing. And during my time serving in the US Army, I was in charge of maintenance for one of our Humvee's doing meticulous inspections by the book, which was a cake walk for me. So I ended up ordering a jump pack and it started perfectly fine, and purchased my own external charger as well and surprise-surprise.. I had no issue. O'Reilly needs to higher a competent manager I expected integrity with his position but was met with none. The manager was just trying to up-sale a new battery that I know was perfectly functional. I was expected to be treated with at least a little respect having my disabled veteran credentials to my account but received a condescending round-around in return. Will never return to this O'Reilly again, test your luck in Salvation Army next door to them, you might find a working battery in there, at least you'll be treated with more respect. If you want it done right do it yourself, the manager was completely unethical and incompetent to simply charge a battery, all he did was check it with a voltage meter and kept it in back for 2 days.
