Many places couldn't accommodate a new patient or squeeze him in despite the circumstances until much later in the day. However, the friendly receptionist at Experts On Sight got in touch with the doctor (before normal office hours) and was able to get us in within 15 minutes of the place opening. They were efficient and professional with their care, and we were both very satisfied with our experience. The follow up went just as well, the place was full of business - people getting glasses and several customers were in and out, yet it looked like everyone's appointment was pretty much right on time including ours. We didn't have to wait long, and we were never rushed when we asked our millions of questions to the doctor. They are also open until 8pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so they can accommodate most work schedules. Dr. Meharry is the absolute best. It's difficult to find precision, accuracy -and- someone who puts you at ease immediately with a great laugh and rapport. Dr. Meharry has nailed all-of-the-above, and she makes a the normally mundane and painfully routine process of eye exams enjoyable. I'm always impressed by Dr. Meharry's ability to offer solutions personalized to each of her patients. I have a stronger astigmatism, making it harder to fit me for contacts, but she always has a great solution that's comfortable, smart and affordable. She is extremely patient and always makes time for my questions about eye wear and care, (and there are many). Dr. Meharry is an all-around pro and an expert in her field. I visited here for my 48 year old eyes were not seeing as they always have with my 20/20. Dr. Jody (?) Visited with me, gave me and eye exam and realized that I needed a retinal specialist. She called one and made the appointment for me. Even though she couldn't help my challenge, I'm writing the review and giving it 5 stars because of the way her staff and she took care of me. The time she took after looking at my eyes to explain what she could with here testing on what was going on and how important it was for me to go to the specialist. She was very correct and I probably wouldn't be seeing today 1.5 years later if she would have just given me some glasses to correct that days vision. While the exam process is okay, their business practices are painful. They really push for you to buy your glasses or contacts from them and they make it difficult to get a copy of your prescription if you want to acquire your glasses/contacts somewhere else. They also overcharged us, not processing our insurance correctly, and we had to get our insurance company involved in order to convince them to make the correction. I am a returning customer to Experts on Sight and have had nothing but a great experience. Today I took my 10 year old for our yearly exam and this was her first visit to this office. She was very nervous for the exam and got emotional from fear. We saw Dr. Cassondra Lux-O'Callaghan and she was phenomenal!!! She made my daughter feels comfortable, explained everything she was doing, made her laugh through out the visit and overall made it a great experience! I am very picky when it comes to any Dr. and after today i wished we could find a primary Dr. and a dentist just like her because she was that good!! This office never ceases to amaze me. From their exceptional front office staff, to their highly informed and educated doctors, to their friendly and helpful sales staff. I can't recommend this place enough. Not only do they have a wide range of frames to choose fromthat are fashionable and trendy, but their staff is all around helpful and friendly without being pushy. But it doesn't end there, when you do have an issue or problem their customer services exceeds expectations. I had to return to the office to tweek my contract prescription after realizing after a week that it was a little off, they got me straight in and fixed and out the door with the correct prescription shipped to my door the next week. When i read having trouble redeeming a rebate for the contacts, i simply called the office the front desk had me email a picture of the contact boxes and within the hour they had sent in the rebate for me and sent me a confirmation email. I've been going here for a couple of years now. Always loved the doctors and staff. Then recently encountered the new office manager when I asked them to fix a mistake they made with my insurance company. Although the mistake was theirs and was corrected Mike made it very clear that he 'didn't have to do it!' Mike, the office manager, was rude and disrespectful. My family has been seeing Dr. Jody Dagan for a long as I can remember. She is very thorough with your exam and you never feel rushed. I have seen both Drs at this office and feel more comfortable with Dr. Dagan as she is very personable. Could not be happier! Last summer my young daughter was a new contact wearer. I took her to my optometrist of over 15 years. She had an issue with one of her trial lenses 3 days before we were scheduled to leave on vacation. She had her hopes set on wearing her new contacts while on vacation. My optometrists office was unable to offer an immediate resolution and wanted to charge me 45.00 to have another lens shipped which would have arrived after our departure. I immediately started calling other optometrists and found Experts on Sight. Megan answered the phone and was not only happy to help us, she offered to arrange the approval from my optometrist to release the RX but she also had a new trial lens for my daughter in 2 days and it didn't cost us a dime. Needless to say we purchased my daughters year supply from Experts on Sight. They went above and beyond to help us out. Fast forward one year and now my daughter and I are both new happy customers. In the past an eye exam consisted of is #1 clearer or #2....okay thank you see you next year. My daughter has struggled with her left contact lens all year. My old optometrist office disregarded her complaint and suggested it may be faulty lenses. Our experience with Dr Lewis could not have been more opposite. He made us feel like we were the only patients he had the entire day. Not once did I feel rushed, he was very thorough and made sure that he got to the bottom of my daughters complaint and he fixed it. He made sure she was comfortable and seeing her very best before we walked out of his exam room. We spent more time with the doctor than we did picking out an eyeglass frame. It was about 45 minutes before closing time when we were done with our exams. We then met Beth, our optician. During our time getting to know her, she mentioned her family was expected in town any minute and she expressed her excitement to see them. With family just arriving and now about 30 minutes before closing time she never once made us feel rushed. Will no longer be a patient at this office! Called today to get my contact prescription refilled and was told they wouldn't refill my prescription unless I came in for a full exam even though my prescription was not expired! So it seems to me they're more concerned about collecting money from you then they are about taking care of their patients! It seems to be the way most doctors are doing business these days, worried about the all mighty buck and not so much about the patients in their care! This was my first time getting my eyes examined as well as getting prescription glasses. I have always had extreme anxiety about things getting close or even touching my eyes which is why at 32 years old I never been to an eye doctor. Immediately walking in the staff was very warm and welcoming and made the check in process very simple. When they began running the preliminary tests before see the specialist the technician was very patient and explained every process to me and went very slow so I would feel comfortable. I then went in with Dr. Josh Rajasansi for the examination and I have to say he has been the best Doctor I have ever seen. He was friendly, social, and seemed to truly care about my feelings through the whole process. I told him about my fear and anxiety about my eyes and he made it so simple and easy that it put me at ease and we were able to accomplish all the tests. Then after figuring out my prescription it was time to shop for glasses. I always thought I didn't look good in any type of glasses, but all the ladies took their time to show me so many options and suggestions that would fit my face so I ended up finding glasses that I didn't even expect would look good on me, but did. Then I sat with Dr. Rajasansi after setting up my glasses to go over everything he found with the tests they ran. Overall this place is amazing and now I can say I will be going to the eye doctor regularly because the experience was amazing. I admit when I am wrong. And I was very wrong in my first review. I had completed a review on Expert on Eyes with less than desirable reviews. To make a long story short my glasses had been knocked off my face I then noticed what I thought to be scratches which come to find out are suppose to be there. Who knew!! Never noticed them until they had been knocked off my face. After the staff at Expert Eyes contacted me and brought me back in had me show them the areas and then explained to me what they were and that those areas are to be there and that they were always there and why. Pros: Evening hours offered. Location Office Staff is friendly and knowledgeable On-site frame selection Last but not least, Dr. Candria freaking Meharry! My situation is probably unique, but I think my experience at Experts On Sight speaks volumes to their approach to clients. After having been prescribed with acute astigmatism in my left eye (legally blind in one eye) at a young age, none of my previous doctors even gave it a second thought. Dr. Meharry asked me a series of questions and took the time to see if contact lenses might help. Keep in mind, no other doctor even entertained the idea of contact lenses, (the logic being that glasses offer protection that contacts do not) without ever considering the fact that contacts may enhance my vision in ways that glasses cannot. I have been wearing glasses since I was 19, here I am 11 years later, within 45 minutes, Dr. Meharry determined that contacts were a great idea AND I would see better because of it, there is also a chance that my left eye could improve over time. The optician's on hand were also very helpful in walking me through the contact application process, they were patient and noticeably excited for me to be able to wear contacts. By the time I left, everyone in the office (5 people) all addressed me by name, thanked me and wished me a good night. I went an hour early for my appointment and was told to be there 20 minutes ahead of time to fill out paperwork and get pre-examined. 8 people came in after me and all got taken before me. I was sitting there at 6:30pm (my appointment time) with the pre-examination. The employee that was to take me back took a mother and daughter who had respective appointments at 6pm and 6:30pm even though I had been sitting there for 35 minutes. They hadn't even finished their paperwork. I will highly recommend to my friends and family NOT to use this facility or staff. read more
