Today I paid a visit to Experimac. I found them after googling to find where I could take me iPhone for service. I was more than impressed with their hundreds of 5 star reviews. When I called them, I got their voice mail, twice. I chose not to leave a message thinking I would wait a little while and call again. To my surprise, about two minutes after my second call to them, my phone rang. They called me back, apologizing for not getting to the phone in time before I hung up and asked if they could be of service. How impressive! I explained my issue with my iPhone, the gentleman gave me a quote and told me no appointment was necessary I could come right in. So right in I went. The place was spotless, the decor and lighting absolutely beautiful. The staff extremely accommodating and friendly. Friendly greeting upon walking in, same at the service desk. The service superb and the price was right! In and out in 30 minutes. I would highly highly highly recommend Experimac Richmond Virginia to anyone and everybody! I came out of there smiling! My wife had a Mac and it was over 10 years old.  She tried to load an app. and it crashed her computer.  All her files, pictures, legal documents, etc. were in her words, "lost."  I checked out Mac service stores online and found that Experimax had great ratings and went to see them the next morning.  Justin greeted me as soon as I walked through the door, inquired about my problem, was able to access the hard drive and found it was ok, it was the operating system that was not only corrupted, but most of it was gone.  Since the computer was so old and the screen was just about to fail, the labor and parts to fix it was going to make the repair un-doable.  They have a great selection of previously owned Mac's on the shelves, and Justin took a lot of time to walk me through each machine that he though would work as a replacement for my wife's computer.  I made the purchase. Needed to have my computer tower repaired. It would shut down right after being turned on. Since I recently moved to the area I didn't know where to go to resolve my issue. I went online and found this place. After diagnostic check I was told that the power cord casing had issues and may need to be replaced. Concerned about cost I was told they would try to fix it at no additional cost, but it may need to be replaced and that would be additional... a day later I Picked it up but sadly the issue started all over again. I called and was told to bring it back. Fully expecting to have to buy a whole new casing for my tower. I took it back and started counting my pennies. Got the call to pick it up and went I got there I was given a new computer tower at no additional costs. Even though it should have been as they had to replace it. Not only did I get great customer service. I received GREAT EQUIPMENT SERVICE. No matter what the issue this is my new computer place. I looked around and could not decide on the Laptop that I wanted. I went back on March 9, 2019, and purchased a 17-inch Macbook. Exceptional customer service!! Went in to have screen fixed on iPhone as they were best price in town and had great reviews. Took less than an hour but what was exceptional is literally I no more than left the place parked in my office parking garage and dropped by phone. They had me come back and they FIXED IT immediately no questions asked. You don't see this level of customer service very often anymore and they have earned my business for life. I spilled water all over my MacBook Pro and assumed t was dead. When looking for a new used MacBook I stumbled upon this website about their used macs. So I brought my broken one in to see if it had any value. Kelvin pressed 4 buttons and my laptop powered right up. He had to replace a cord and BAM my laptop was fixed and back up and running. He dropped what he was doing to fix mine on the spot which maybe took 20 minutes (most of which was just waiting for my laptop to power back on). I could not be happier with this place! They are super friendly and took care of my dying computer battery. When I came to pick it up I not only had a new battery but also added extras. They were the first ones to get back to me when I needed my screen fixed on my 6s & they weren't charging me over $200 like every other place . It took about an hour& they gave me 10% off & a temper glass screen for my phone! These guys were super nice!! A++ for customer service ! Great experience with Experimax replacing my ipad screen. I ended up there after going to UBreakIFix and they told me they could replace but the home button wouldn't work - decided to move on. Experimax had the screen in stock, kept the unit overnight and called me early the next morning that I could come pick it up. Everyone I dealt with was personable and customer service was great. I was just at experimax 4/25/2023 Thursday morning. The guy fixed a tough problem I had on my computer. I write stories and my stories were hung up in limbo and I could not open them. They will open now. The service tech was really nice. He just opened up the store, fixed my problem and was able to help the other two customers too. We went over the issue in detail covering the reasons for the malfunction and why things happened the way they did. I now understand better the failure.
