Exotic Sweets really hit the ball out of the park for me. To begin with the menu is very simplistic with pictures of different foods they have ranging from boba tea drinks to sushi and as well as some really good Chinese food! We decided to get some boba tea, sushi, and some Chinese food as well. The black milk tea really shined for me, not overly sweet yet still had a nice subtle tea taste which really was delicious. Our appetizer was a peanut sauce noodle dish and oxtail soup! Both were superb, the oxtail soup had such a rich deep flavor that was extremely refreshing and the noodle dish was very satisfying especially with the homemade hot chili oil they provide. The sushi was solid and so was my main entree the black chicken noodle soup which is almost a medicinal dish but with really good flavor. I highly recommend for anyone , they do so many things great such as desert, milk teas, sushi, and variety of Asian food! read more

I do like this place and I definitely would not mind returning. I came here with my wife on a Thursday late afternoon and the restaurant was empty. I usually would just leave if I came into a restaurant and noticed I was the only one there, but my wife vouched for it. I ordered the poké bowl and loved it! They gave a generous amount of food that could possibly feed two for a reasonable price. The entire menu is reasonably priced! They do have rolled ice cream, even though I didn't feel like dessert during my first visit. My wife and I ordered some sushi rolls which were very good too. I wasn't a big fan of the eggs rolls, so I wouldn't order that appetizer again. The place was new and very clean and hopefully will be able to stay in business for the years to come. read more

First time I came here with my cousin was 2 years ago. We liked their decor. We both ordered bubble tea drinks and hibachi. I had mine with vegetables. I wanna say it was on the salty side but it was good. Last night I came back here with a friend. Our server was friendly and asked her to make sure my food didn't contain any fish oil or oyster sauce. She had recommend the veg Mifun. It was on salty side tasted kinda fishy. Not sure if it's from the eggs or maybe they still added something in there when I asked them not to. Would I come back here? Maybe just for the bubble tea. Anyways I was hungry throughout the night. read more

First time trying Exotic Sweets after seeing others post about it and they did not disappoint. Dined in with a party of 4 and 5 kids. We ordered two poke bowls (3 proteins), chicken hibachi with udon, steak bento, California and spicy crawfish roll, miso soup, fried oysters, edamame, and dumplings. We got an order of the popcorn chicken as part of their promo of ordering more than $10. We indulged in the Thai milk tea, strawberry milk tea, and coconut milk tea. If you don't care for sweet, I suggest asking them to lessen up the sugar content in the teas. The food came out fast and fresh! Poke bowls was amazing and filling! They even offered a lettuce base! They gave an assortment of toppings and other goodies to put on the poke bowl. That was exciting to just add it all on lol. The fried oysters were surprisingly good. They were nice size too. The hibachi plate was ample amount of udon veggies and chicken. I kinda would have preferred more veggies but no biggie. It was seasoned just enough for taste. The steak bento was a generous portion too! Overall food was good. Consider pricing and location, it wasn't too bad. After the dinner we also got some of the rolled ice cream. Fresh fruit and cream mixed together to make the rolls and fresh toppings on top. Great combination! I enjoyed the visit and will gladly return again. read more

It probably looked like I didn't enjoy my meal because I couldn't eat a whole lot but this was by far some of the best food I've had. The service was great too. The matcha milk tea with boba was delicious as well. I'll have to order the milk tea after my meal next time so the ice doesn't melt on me I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. read more

I got the hibachi shrimp, the shrimp had a very tasty flavor! The entree portion makes it seem like you'll get side vegetables and rice but it's really all mixed in together. Pretty much shrimp and vegetable fried rice. read more

This place is really nice on the inside the name will throw you off a bit because they sell way more than sweets. We had the chicken bento box and it was a nice amount of food for the price and the wait for the food was not long at all. The sushi is reasonably priced and buy one get one 50% off. Exotic Sweets - Exotic Sweet Roll & Shrimp Tempura Roll - Bubble Tea Near Me - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Tried this new place out for the first time today and was very pleasantly surprised. Also lucked out on a special they're running through 5/31/19, and got a couple freebies yayy!! The BF and I got the spicy salmon roll (8 pieces), yummy roll (larger special roll size), and a steak bento box (steak, 2 small egg rolls, 4 pieces of California roll, 2 tempura shrimp, and substituted veggies for the rice). The salmon was good with the sriracha mayo. Yummy roll was, well, yummy. Bento box was very good too. This was plenty of food for us, and cost $20 before tax and tip. The freebies we got were popcorn chicken and a black milk tea. The popcorn chicken didn't impress, came with duck sauce, and tasted like fast food chicken nuggets. They were out of matcha, so I tried the black milk tea and found it to be a weaker tea than I typically enjoy. Overall, we felt that the quality (not amazing, but pretty good) was better than expected considering the low cost (compared to similar local offerings. The service was friendly and food came out quickI definitely recommend this place for having good ood at a great value!! Update: new menu with some price changes. read more

Ordered via Waitr: got a scallop bento box, taro milk tea, and poke bowl. Everything was just ok, I wouldn't say anything tasted that fresh or tasty. Was not a fan of the boba (wasn't completely tapioca which is what I'm used to). Maybe would be better to try in person. read more

Holy cow! This place is so awesome!! This place is literally a "bang-for-your-buck" type of place. The deals and prices are kind of crazy. Just FYI, Wednesday's are half off everything except for milk teas and ice creams and it's such an amazing deal! The amount of food that you get for their price is so crazy!! You'll have food for lunch and dinner the next day! Don't be fooled by the name, it's not just sweets that they serve. They serve sushi, hibachi, fried rice, and other savory dishes. I've had their chicken nugget appetizer, the fried dumplings, the steak bento box and the spicy salmon roll. Everything was really good (for their price) and had nice flavor. The fried rice that came with the bento box was a little bland so I did have to add soy sauce but I really can't complain much because their prices are just so dang cheap! Love this place, came here twice already! read more

Very peaceful and nice restaurant. Lovely tea and sushi to go along with friendly service. Enjoyable dinner.

Probably the best place in the area. Tons of options and everything I've gotten has been really good!

Fresh food and great service. Don't let the location or sign fool you. Way better quality than you expected.

I placed an order over the phone with a gentleman who told me it would be 15 min. Get there and my order wasn't even in the system. Lunch break isn't that long so I'm very disappointed. Do not place an order by phone. read more

This place is always top notch. Their Boba milk teas are the best. I've tried almost everyone of them. My sisters love them too.

Great customer service and wonderful food! The soups are so flavorful. And the sushi is also yummy!

Called ahead to ask if they were open on Christmas and until what time. They said yes, until 7. We arrived at 6pm, and were told to seat ourselves. The staff ignored us, and the two tables that came in after us, for 30 minutes while they exclusively served take out orders. When we got up and walked out at 6:40, they didn't even acknowledge us. I will never eat here again. read more

We stop for lunch! Order passion fruit tea , their Chinese noodles, ox tail noodle soup, and poke. Service was good and place was nice and clean. Only complain that I have wish the oxtail was tender instead of chewy. Other than that poke was good and fresh. Would come back to pick up poke and maybe try their roll ice cream. read more

This place is for me the best Asian Fusion place around. Let me caveat by saying I'm usually against the fusion places and tend towards the pure one-style restaurants that specialize in one type of Asian cuisine. Well, the thing about this place is it does both generic Asian like eggrolls, fried rice, andsushi, but it also does impossible to find anywhere else Fuzhou, China dishes. So far I've tried one of their unique Fuzhou dishes that you will absolutely not find anywhere else. Ever had Black Chicken Soup before? I hadn't either - super cool stuff!! Now for the uninitiated, the meat is chopped up while still on the bone for flavor. This means if you want you can suck the meat off the bones, but it takes some care/work. You can also just enjoy the noodles, soup, completely new to me veggies, and maybe or bite or two of the meatier pieces. Service was exceptional, very nice people! The decor of the place is very nice. I usually don't worry about the way places look, I'm there for the food, but this place is nice. My wife is going to love it when I bring her. read more

Wonderful place to eat! First off, its so clean and nicely decorated. And the staff are so friendly. The food is tasty and always done right. The shrimp appy was so big and crispy! My hubby loves the udon stir fry. Everything we tried there is delicious. And the waitress even gives my girls ice cream treats for dessert! One of our favorite places to eat in BR! read more

At first I thought this place was only serving sweets because of the name but it actually has so much more. The food has been great. The staff had always been very respectful and nice to us. It's always clean. If you want something cooked, let them know otherwise it will be served raw. For example with the Poke Bowls, the salmon is served raw but you can have to cooked which is what I usually do. The Poke bowls are also pretty large servings so you will definitely be full unless you have a big appetite. The Boba milk tea is delicious as well. I order a different one almost every time and have loved every single one. The rolled ice cream is fantastic!! I literally could eat it AAAALLLL DAY!! read more

Really clean and very delicious food. Servers are really nice. VERY UNDERRATED place!

I would recommend coming here to just check it out for yourself, but it's okay. It wouldn't be my first choice. However, the service was great and the staff were all kind and welcoming. I ordered a taro milk tea, which tasted like sweetened water. It didn't have a strong taro flavor. The sushi was okay, but not the best. I ordered the california roll, green dragon roll, and the hurricane roll. The california roll tasted like sushi you would get at a supermarket. The green dragon roll had a lot of rice with little filling. The hurricane roll was my favorite and more flavorful than the other rolls. read more

Sad I didn't know about this sooner! My bubble tea is DELICIOUS and my sushi was super fresh! Great deals and really inexpensive!!

I haven't had a chance to physically go to the restaurant, but have ordered from Waitr twice now. The food is beautifully packaged, and well made. It is always packed so full of flavor, and never disappoints!! There is a wide variety of options on the menu, and always something for my ever picky family to agree on. The bento boxes are amazing, and the volcano roll is simple and exquisite! The bubble tea is a delightful after dinner drink as well, and an amazing pallet cleanser! The price is very inexpensive, and the quality and love put into the preparation of the meal is outstanding. Even for my Waitr orders! read more
