They had the best KFT products (and decor) of any KFT in Louisiana (although there aren't many), and by a distance too. In fact, after local Momo, along with the local branch of the chain Vivi, this is in my top 3 boba shops in the whole state. Yes, all are in the Baton. Time for Baton to pass the Baton to someone else and let another LA city have a good boba shop? Perhaps. What to get: Lemon Black Tea With Tapioca! Or: All the fruit teas are pretty good, especially if you go off menu and get black tea! Or: Go crazy and order your fruit teas with the very strong Oolong! Or in winter: Any of the hot milk teas! Which milk teas are best: Honey Oolong! Oolong! Maybe Taro or Almond! I also love the regular milk tea with Oreo! Generally speaking, Kung Fu Tea scores 5, which is a huge compliment, considering that it's a massive international corporate chain, whose milk teas don't match up to the best chains: Sharetea, Gong Cha, Tea Top, and Coco. However, they're still really good, and the fruit teas here are among the best. Especially the lemon black tea which absolutely rocks my world. If it's not on the menu, demand it! Other fruit teas (Orange, Grapefruit, Pineapple) must also be ordered off-menu as Black Tea instead of the meh Green. Also the Lemon Black tastes good as a Lemon Oolong, but everyone else hates it because they have bad taste. The one annoying thing about the chain is the corporate office (they're sketchy) and their rule that no drink can have its tea altered. In any case, this is definitely one of the best Kung Fu Tea locations we've been to in a long time, and one that left a great impression - and made a great drink as well. They have lovely employees, and I just wish that they were doing better business wise. And they were slow before Corona. I hope they can get through the virus crap in one piece. They deserve to. Words can't express how much I love this place. The past two months, I've been a regular and come every week, if not more often. And I'm not embarrassed to admit that. The drinks. Made with love. They do a great job with following any requests, such as light ice or half the sugar. I've been branching out from my usual drink and trying their other flavors and I have yet to be disappointed. Service is always so friendly, from the moment you walk in the door until you get your drink. Always a smile and always so fast. The atmosphere. Probably my favorite thing about this KFT. It's so bright. It's become my new study spot. You know how you go to coffee shops or libraries and it's just so dim and dark? And sad? Yeah, not at Kung Fu Tea. The entrance consists of a huge glass window, so you get the natural light. And if it's an overcast day, hey, they definitely don't skimp on electricity. It's just so bright inside, always, it makes you feel happy, even if you have to get work done. There's also relatively secure WiFi. Plenty of seating - tables, booths, and a cute bar towards the back if you want more seclusion. Outlets everywhere too! I also can't forget to mention the board games! This is just the perfect place for anything. A snack, a date, hanging out with friends, studying. It's just amazing and I love it. The Tea tastes great, but it is more expensive and a smaller serving than other bubble tea in the area. The most basic tea, black/ kung fu tea, size M, is $4.00. Adding tapioca pearls is an additional $0.50. The more specialized teas (e.g. almond milk tea) are $0.50 more, but it doesn't taste so much better than the kung fu tea to warrant this price increase. There are 2 cup sizes, medium and large, and this medium size is smaller than the standard size of bubble tea in the area. The Tea is more expensive and you get a smaller serving. I would only get kung fu tea here because the specialized teas are $0.50 more. One good thing is this place is across from Perkins Rowe. The tea is good, but it's almost criminal how high the prices are here. read more

I've pretty much tried most of the drinks here but my personal go-to is either the Passion Fruit Green Tea with aloe jelly or the Coffee Milk Tea with herbal jelly. I always tend to get them with just half the percentage of sugar as the original percentage is a bit too sweet for my taste. They both still taste refreshing! The inside space is always neat and clean. Plenty of tables to sit. It's also an awesome hangout spot with your friends. The 1 year wait for amazing boba is finally over! The location is in a plaza next to Rouse's and offers plenty of parking. The inside is incredibly spacious, bright, airy, and beautifully decorated for Christmas. If you have the time to sit, they offer a wide array of board games for entertainment. Like other KFTs you can adjust the ice and sugar level. I recommend going with no ice for no watered down taste and to get just a little more of the drink. I've tried my usuals honey milk green tea and milk tea with tapioca and I was happy to find that the flavors are consistent to drinks I've had at other locations. When I visited, the drinks were made in no time despite the amount of customers. The employees are cheerful and friendly as well. So far they have only accepted cash since they opened a week ago during their soft opening, which is a little inconvenient tbh. read more

Clear, precise menu with multiple great suggestions on a chalk board as well if you're undecided. They have a cute "instagramable" backwall with cute floral "KFT" to take pictures with! What makes the tea at KFT special is their milk to powdered tea mix, that they shake in a machine that mixes it in a "figure 8" routine that blends the mix very well. I've had the milk tea in the past with it being on the frothy side. I got the peach oolong tea and my friend got the classic KFT black milk tea. Today, it was perfect, not too frothy and great medium strength to the tea! So pleasantly surprised. This was my first time at a KFT franchise. I found the menu to be a little confusing. There were too many options for my liking. More, less, or normal sugar? More, less, or normal ice? That's awesome, but I don't want to make any more choices other than picking a flavor, size, and topping, haha! Even with 50% less sugar though, I found my slush to be MUCH too sweet. I couldn't finish it. I'll probably ask for zero sugar next time, because the boba tastes like it's been soaked in sugar as well? 4/5 for slush but 5/5 for traditional milk tea. But, it is a lot closer than the boba tea places I typically go to near Florida Dr. There was a bit of a line, but it moved fast. Service was great. I got a taro milk tea with boba (low sugar) and my mom got the mango snow with mango jelly. We barely warmed the our seat when our number was called. Considering how busy they were, I was impressed with the speed. The drinks were great. Mine was slightly sweet (just how I like it) and the tapioca balls were fresh. The mango snow was fantastic. It was like a snowball and a mango milk tea had a baby. It was not overly sweet and the mango jelly added a nice pop of flavor.
