I was pleasantly surprised on how good the drinks are. They have a wide variety of drinks, especially their unique flavors, which caught my eye. I got the Vietnamese coffee with pen and foam. It's nice that they have the shaved ice. The pendant foam could be a little bit stronger. The sweetness was still there even at 25% and the strong Vietnamese flavor also was present. I'm not a boba fan at all but this place is much more than boba. What I love is they have so many unique flavor combination suggestions but also the ability to customize. On my first visit, I just ordered one of the combos and was so grateful for that because the menu otherwise was pretty overwhelming. If you want the custom route there are multiple base tea/coffee/milk bases to start from and then choose to add flavoring, foam, and, of course pearls. The ube foam is my favorite to add to a drink. Also, I heard someone order "less sweet" which is a great option. I have several times had something that was delicious but also made me feel like I may have had my full sugar/calories for the day. I am definitely going to see what "less sweet" tastes like for my next visit. The drinks I have had came with the sealed top which is great if you are taking the drink on the go. That being said, I have never been able to get my straw into them on the first try and the cups from Teatery are no exception. So be careful as I just imagine one day jamming the straw in there too hard and my whole drink splashing all over me. Also, if you don't need total quiet, it is a decent place to work from as well. read more

It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea (#1), but I'm fairly confident in anointing Teatery as the best bubble tea option in Baton Rouge. The competition is getting stiffer by the day but their ratings speak for themselves. Despite being a strictly takeout business during the pandemic, business was still booming to where there were lines outside. Indoor service has resumed and they're better than ever. They have a handful of seating options, along with board games, WiFi, and nice bathrooms. Parking is always tricky but it's mainly due to how crowded the lot is. The drinks are great. They have a nice variety of milk teas, fruit teas, brewed teas, coffee, smoothies, fresh milk and seasonal specials. The latter is usually my favorite, which include summer cocktails and their chamoyada series. They also serve a mesn Vietnamese coffee as well and their line of classic flavors are excellent. The oreo smoothie is also killer. They also serve some dessert in a nice display, which include crepe cakes and macarons. Im pretty sure this is one of the only places in Louisiana that serves delimanjoo and the totoro equivalent. For those not in the know, they're custard cakes that are shaped like mini fish and totoro characters. They're fun the look at but even better to eat. Customer service is always on point and the prices seem to be average for this kind of tea spot. They have a rewards program and are really good about taking orders ahead of time. Sharetea themselves has had a big downgrade in Milk Tea quality, but their fruit teas (some of them) are still great, however not these ones, not here. They just don't taste good, and don't get me started on the custard fish Tayaki, which don't seem to be fresh at all. Nearby Momo was so good that the standards for Baton Rouge Boba were thereby set really high, and then after we came here we kind of wished we had stuck with Momo. But it does give you extra Boba options in BR, and that can't be a bad thing. I ordered a passion fruit ice blend with boba and a delimanjoo. My drink had a great flavor but for some reason there were hard grainy bits throughout my drink. It felt like I was drinking blended rocks. I'm not sure if there was an odd residue in the blender from previous drinks that were made or what. I was very confused by the hard particles. The delimanjoo was pretty reasonably priced. It tasted pretty meh but I'm guessing it would have tasted better heated up. Also, the shop was very hot inside. All I can say is, sometimes I dream about the brown sugar boba drink. It's just soooo good! I'd say 4 stars because the delimanjoo barely had any filling inside, the one I got was Nutella & I like a lot of filling. Still, I'd recommend! This place was ridiculously tasty. Every time I go I always get the Cookies&Cream blend. It's always super sweet so no sugar ever needs to be added! The Delimanjoos were especially delicious, particularly the ones filled with Nutella. They're currently in their soft opening so when I went there wasn't much people. Was craving something sweet so I grabbed a tiramisu alongside my drink and it was really good. It came in a small glass cup which is nice as it can be taken home and repurposed for something else. Teatery is a really cute family owned milk tea cafe with some of the most creative drinks in town. It's a great place to go whether you're craving Em's Bakery's Japanese cheesecake or getting your milk tea fix. The bobaristas at this location are usually friendly and never make you feel uncomfortable. I find that teatery's teas sometimes have too much of a floral flavor, so I don't get my usual oolong milk tea here like I would at other milk tea cafes. Their drink sweetness levels are also on the sweeter side compared to other places, so be sure to ask for your drink half sweet or event lightly sweetened. They also offer extra sweet for those who have a super sweet tooth, but I wouldn't recommend it. I like coming here because it's convenient. It's the closest milk tea cafe to my house, but my only complaint is that my drinks taste inconsistent and watered down at times. I prefer a more tea forward flavor, and sometimes it's either cut with too much water or has just a little bit too much creamer in it. I get the same drink every time so I can tell when it tastes different, so I'd stop by more often if the drinks were more consistent. read more

Whatever the case the staff makes you feel right at home. They offered us samples of their Thai tea which was delicious. I ended up ordering a Hokkaido milk tea with mini boba. I enjoy boba, but I quickly tire of all the chewing. These mini bobas are perfect for me, I don't know if I ever want to go back to the regular size boba. This was my first time trying this location and I'm super glad I did! The inside was so cute and the workers were so nice and patient while I decided what to order. My favorite kind of milk tea is oolong but the only place I find that it is how I like it is ShareTea in New Orleans. For that reason, I'll never dock points off of a place based on their oolong. I had tried the other Teatery location's oolong and was not a fan so I decided that I'd try their Thai milk tea and I'm so so glad I did. It was absolutely delicious and it was a pretty decent size. I didn't even have to tell them to not fill the entire cup with ice so the ice amount was perfect. I'm definitely going back for that! They were cooking tapioca when our group arrived on Saturday morning. They said it takes an hour and a half to cook the tapioca boba. That seems very time intensive, so it's much easier and probably a lot more fun to come in with friends or family and pick up your fresh boba tea. I love the black milk tea, the honey milk tea, and the Thai tea. I get double on the tapioca.
