Thai tea & Hokkaido Milk Tea (Carmel toffee) & Ube cake
    Angelica G.

Boba and Bahn Mi say no more. This cute little tea shop got my attention with their neon sign that shined bright stating Banh Mi sandwiches. Two of my favorite things. This semi new tea shop opened up back on December 28, 2024. Vanessa Le, a nurse whose dream was to open up a business of her own. With her hard work and determination we now have this cute little shop to hangout and have some boba. Since this is a new place it's not popping up when you search for desserts or food. My employees told me about this place and I had to go that same day. Even though it's tucked in to a small building. I will tell you the atmosphere inside was enough to bring me back. The service was great and the owner went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our drinks and dessert. I love to step out of the box when it comes to boba drinks. So I heard many people order Hokkaido so I had to get this one for myself. We also ordered a classic drink which was the Thai tea and of course we added tapioca to both drinks. BOBA is life !!!! I also saw she had three types of cakes. Now I'm no cake connoisseur or anything but once those cakes caught my eyes I had to ask about them. The one cake with fruity pebbles sprinkled on top is the one that caught my attention first - since I only know one other person that makes that style cake I asked if they were from Ems bakery or did Vanessa make them herself. To my surprise they are from a small shop called Ems Bakery. The best cakes ever and she makes specialty cakes too. So of course I had to have my favorite flavor Ube. The Hokkaido drink was by far the best boba drink ever. I didn't make any modifications to it but know that you are able to. So if you want a different type of milk or want it to be less sweet just ask them when you place your order. Most of the drinks can be modified meaning you can change the level of sweetness and type of milk you want in it. This is great for those who can't handle dairy or those who count their calories. The ube cake was super fluffy and delicious. While we decided to stay and enjoy our treats my son was super excited that there was games to play. My son selected the suspenseful game of Perfection lol. He has never placed it before thought it was a puzzle of sort. After we finished up Vanessa asked if we enjoyed everything and we said Yes absolutely we did. Vanessa was very kind and sweet. She even calmed our son down after he decided to play the claw machine and he doesn't fully read just yet he didn't know how to play the machine and lost his turn in winning a prize. While trying to calm him down and explain why he needed to wait for us to help him Vanessa stepped in and saw he was upset about the situation and gave him a little surprise. She truly turned his frown upside down and he was thrilled with his little gift. I will be back to get myself a banh mi which I heard was good. Also talk of the town is their famous banana fosters brulé drink. They also have a small selection of gelato which you can also get it affogato style. If gelato is not your thing then I say try out their taiyaki the Nutella filled one slaps, but they also have red bean or mozzarella flavored as well. Geaux and give this place a try and you will be hooked once you take that first sip or bite. Please be patient as each item is made fresh and it takes time. Before you leave make sure to show some love and take that IG picture with their neon sign and tag them.

Besteas Sip and Bite is a new Boba place that I had to try as soon as I heard it was open. Upon entering the establishment the decor and ambiance were very cute and adorable. I ordered a signature drink which was brown sugar milk tea with cheese foam and honey boba along with a Banh Mi with BBQ pork. The drink itself was fantastic, I honestly can say that this boba place could be my new go-to spot as the drink was very refreshing not overly sweet yet had a subtly brown sugar flavor along with a slightly savory but creamy cheese foam that complimented the drink. The honey boba in it was perfect as well as it had a slight honey flavor but nothing that would overpower my drink with sweetness. The Banh Mi, my goodness I can say was the star of the show as the short baguette was not overly hard but had a crisp crust with a soft and airy texture along with savory BBQ meat and pickled vegetables. I can't explain how delicious it was that everyone at our table ordered one just by how much one of us loved the sandwich. I overall love this new Boba place and will be back as I highly recommend this spot to any boba lovers as well as their food as well.

I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY!! The inside decor is so pink and welcoming and cute, if you like pink and cute themes, DEFINITELY STOP BY! Both ladies behind the counter were welcoming and helpful while taking my order, and I got the strawberry matcha to try! The matcha quality is very good and tastes authentic and not artificial, it has a beautiful earth green color and the strawberries give it a bit of sweetness and add perfectly to the taste! Not to mention, the SUPER CUTE I PLUSHIE I GOT! They sell cups that have a surprise plushie at the bottom!! 10000/10 COME STOP BY, BATON ROUGE!

My daughter was super exited to try a Korean hot dog for the first time. We head to Momo Tea right…read moreafter school. She ordered a mozzarella hot dog and I went with a flaming hot sausage. I also got a Lime Passion fruit tea with boba. We had 3 mochinuts: white chocolate, funnel cake and churro. Service was 0/10. The young lady at the front counter was not very friendly. She had a flat affect the entire time and when I ask her to explain her fruit teas, she responded "What do you mean? Like all of them?" Their fruit teas looked a little bit different from the tea we order at the mall. What can I say I'm ignorant to the teas but I'm trying to learn. I felt like a bother asking any questions because of her response so I went ahead and ordered one to try. My daughter's corn dog 10/10. My corn dog 5/10. I'm assuming the flaming hot makes the corn dog soggy because mine was not as crispy as my daughter's. Tea 2/10 I liked the flavor but there was a ton of pulp and it was not popping boba, rather chewy, and I'm not a fan of the texture. I would have avoided ordering had I had an explanation of the tea. Mochinuts 5/10 Churro was delicious. The other two were pretty dry and flavorless (my first time trying so maybe that's the norm). Overall review: Pros: Mozzarella corn dog is fire!!! The atmosphere is cute with table games and a claw machine for entertainment. Con: Poor service. Soggy flaming hot sausage corn dog.

I wasn't sure what to get and the sweet girl behind the counter helped out and suggested the potato half and half. I absolutely loved it. So crunchy and crispy and the cheese was so meaty. That cheese pull was EVERYTHING! My sister got a mochi donut and it was delicious. I can't wait to go back and try a tea. Many people came in while we waited and all of their drinks looked amazing. We sat and played the games that the restaurant provided giving it a cafe vibe. It was very nice. Heading back soon!

Since my mom and I were in the area,…read morewe decided to try King Kong since we heard good things about the place... sadly the hype didn't match our experience. For starters, the guy who took our order gave off an attitude before we even said anything and looked like he didn't even wanna be there. When we ordered, he didn't even ask about what type of toppings or sweetness levels we wanted like any typical boba shop would do. When he gave us our order, he didn't even say anything or gave us the utensils we needed with our order. Basically horrible customer service skills. Now for our order. For the drinks, we got their Mangonada ($7.40) and their House Brown Sugar Milk Tea ($7.30). For the food, we got their Coconut Snails ($18.95) and their Sautéed Scallops ($19.99). The food was very mid and overpriced for the quality. Portions were so small and the taste of everything was nothing special. The brown sugar milk tea lacked any brown sugar taste and was so bland. The Mangonada drink was okay, but it didn't even come with the Chamoy covered straw as advertised. One upside is that the inside decor is nice and clean, but that is the ONLY upside. I hate brining down family-owned shops like this one, as I can understand the hardships that they go through, but my experience here was so awful that I had no choice. Rude service? Mid quality food and drinks? Overpriced? I'm sorry, but until they change things for the better I would not recommend this place.
