Their website is great since it gives you an idea of sizing and what vases are available so you can really provide details if you have a certain idea in mind. My instructions were "seven of the same arrangement, small size, square clear vase, and pinks & greens w/ a little white" and the flowers/arrangements were perfection. I've never been to this place before but I always see it while driving down American Legion so I decided to stop in today for flowers to create center pieces for a party. As I enter into the empty flower shop, the older woman who worked there was hesitant to greet me, she eventually came down near the register. I informed her I was looking for flowers to put inside of a mason jar for center pieces, I showed her a picture off of Pinterest. She looked at the picture and replied, "those shrubs cost about $30." I said, "Do you have any pre-arranged bouquets I may be able to use?" She replied again mentioning money, "those bouquets cost a minimum of $40" and informed me that she would not be the one to design the center piece, I would have to do it myself. Mind you, I never asked about the price OR asked if she would arrange the center pieces for me. I was there gathering flowers for a DIY project. During the entire interaction from her distasteful greeting to her purposely unhelpful demeanor I turned around and left the establishment. I was extremely disappointed by their unprofessional and frankly rude disposition. I'm not sure if they are not accustomed to working with people of color, it could have been culturally shocking for a young woman of color to enter their shop? If I could give no stars, I would. My family and I use to buy flowers at Exotic Flowers all the time. But after today, I might have to take my business elsewhere. Today is my grandmother's memorial. I wanted to put special flowers for her today. But when I asked if a special arrangement could be made, the old lady at the counter said, "What for? You can get a $10.00 one." I went in looking for help getting an arrangement for a funeral. A woman in the back called me to her cubicle and asked what I was looking for. I showed her a picture from their own website and asked if i was correct that the photo was one of their arrangements (i had screenshotted a few photos from multiple local florists), to which she shrugged her shoulders. She then referred me to a man who was at the desk. I showed him the same photo, he confirmed that it was indeed from their website. I told them I was hoping to get a funeral arrangement for four days out and asked if they could do something with a bit more greenery and fewer flowers than the photo. He assumed I meant green flowers, and I explained that I liked the white flowers but with some more leaves and green, not flowers. He then asked if i wanted a live plant, to which I again explained that I just wanted a floral arrangement similar to the photo on their website but with more greenery (leaves on stems, vines, etc). They told me they could do that, so I asked if they had some pictures of something similar so I could get an idea of what the final arrangement may look like, to which I was laughed at and told no because no one asks for that. I left and went to a different place where I was treated with humility, understanding of the situation, and respect. The first thing that the new florist said when I told them the occasion I needed flowers for was "I'm sorry for your loss." That is how it should be. read more

They deliver in time, the customer service taking the order is great at listening and helping out by giving you an idea what the order you are placing will look like to help you get the effect you were hoping and the size you want to get so you give the right impression according to your occasion. The flowers are always fresh and last for at least a week. Through the years, the order of flowers lived between a week at least and two weeks (give or take a few days) the most, in the vase. I called Exotic Flowers to order a funeral spray for my uncle's funeral. I chose the "Heavenly Grace Spray" and asked that they not use too much pink since the flowers were for a man's funeral. The woman on the phone was very friendly and helpful and even gave her condolences which I thought was very kind. The flowers they prepared very lovely! The spray was very beautiful and full of healthy flowers, and they incorporated a dark purple carnation which gave the arrangement a masculine touch. I thought they did an absolutely wonderful job.
