First of all, this place is absolutely stunning on the inside and outside! The service was amazing as well. However, the food was just open to me. I had to fish with other seafood around it plus sauce, and it had a nice flavor, but it was pretty small and there was not a ton of sides or extra pieces of fish in the sauce. The fish itself was also very thin. I felt like the price point was too much for what you got. I did really love the tortilla soup though!

Exilio takes over the old Verde Garden building. I'm always excited to try a new dining experience, but unfortunately this did not live up to my expectations. I'll start by saying service was excellent, attentive without being invasive. Being a newer spot, the owner and the manager came by to introduce themselves and see how we were doing. I also appreciate the refreshed decor. The bar area is beautiful. The mood is just right. And they've got plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Now let's get into the food and drinks. Complimentary wontons and salsa (4/5) - A strong opening. Crispy and balanced Tuna aguachile (3/5) - Ok, not bad, but not remarkable. Did not come with the fried leeks as advertised, which would have been a welcome contrast in texture. Veggie empanadas (3/5) - sounded interesting with the truffle, but was just ok Roasted poblano and corn soup (5/5) - the unexpected standout dish of the evening. Perfect blend of flavors. Hauchinango (2/5) - the snapper itself was bland, but the Veracruz "sauce" was quite tasty. There just wasn't enough of it to save the fish. I had to ask for extra. My rice came out crunchy, but they remade it based on my feedback. It had no flavor, I could barely taste the saffron. The broccolini was the best thing on my plate, which, well, is not a good sign. Brocheta Zarandeada (1/5) - the octopus was mushy and the fish did not taste or smell fresh. Both are unacceptable for this caliber of dining. We couldn't tell if the shrimp was over or under cooked. In terms of flavor, it gave nothing. Exilio Red Dragon (2/5) - sounds good on paper, but lacking an element that would ground it Guava Pisco Sour (3/5) - better than the dragon, but still feels like it's missing and ingredient Smoky Old Fashioned (3/5) - I was excited about the chocolate balsamic, but I couldn't taste it. A standardly mediocre classic, albeit with a smoke show Complimentary dessert (3/5) - they don't have a menu so I don't remember the name, but it was ok enough I'm giving 3 stars to be mindful of the fact that they've only been opened 2 weeks, although I felt my experience was closer to a 2/5. I will return and update my review after they've had some time to get on their feet.

This restaurant is beautiful, full of light and a huge patio decorated with draped wisteria all over. Big bar area and separate rooms for private parties. Food was well presented and delicious. Only complaint which was immediately taken care of is that the initial serving of complimentary snack were stale and hard, this accompanied by a nice tomato sauce to dip in

Wow! The Bari Group has done it again. What a special place. The service is second to none, just like all of the group's restaurants. We loved the food we had and the white table cloths. The cocktails were perfection and OMG!, the Bari labeled wine was exceptional. For me, service is so important. I was not disappointed and LOVE how the space has been redesigned. It is the perfect place to come for delicious food, excellent service while still being casual.

We were looking for somewhere to go for lunch and we stumbled upon this place. Didn't realize that this used to be a different restaurant until we got here. They are newly open so they weren't busy inside. It was a complete 360 from the previous restaurant that used to be here. I love the elegant decor and I love the pink wallpaper in the women's bathroom. That was my favorite touch as well as the mirrors, heading to the bathroom and the painting hanging along those walls. Let's get to the food. You get complimentary wontons and sausage dip, which was a different presentation, but that's what made us realize this is an Argentina restaurant. We ordered the empanada trio, and the lobster empanada was my favorite. It was so delicious that I had to order another appetizer of just lobster empanadas. I do wish they were a little bigger or at least came with one more. The beef was my second favorite empanada out of the trio. We weren't the biggest fan of the chicken one. For my entrée, I ordered the trio of tacos and they were not skimpy with the lobster meat, which I liked and I substituted the chicken taco for a second lobster taco. The steak taco was also good. For my drink I had the gold margarita I highly recommended. We ended up still being there for happy hour so we got the Exilio margarita that is on happy hour. It was still pretty good, but not as strong as that gold margarita with the Grand Marnier. For dessert we ordered the churro which were stuffed they were better than some of the other restaurants I've had but not my favorite. I would definitely give this place another try!

Papas bravas

I have been here three times over the last two weeks. There has been a change in the chef three weeks ago, so he is putting his spin on the menu. Doug Rodriquez is putting his stamp on the menu by keeping some items and changing up some other items. The rib eye tacos and homemade corn tortillas are not to be missed. Soft and tender meat with no fork needed. His rib eye now comes with a blue cheese base -- steak is flavorful but not a fan of this combo. Short rib flautas are interesting as are the potato bravas. Highly recommend the branzino, rib eye tacos, and the skirt steak. As for the dessert -- the churros can't be beat! Service was great two out of the three times I was there, with lots of waiting one time. I'm looking forward to trying out the brunch.

Such a beautiful restaurant. Food was absolutely amazing. Red snapper ceviche was delicious. Seafood rice was the best dish in my opinion, the octopus, sea bass & shrimp were cooked to perfection. GREAT portions, GREAT service. Definitely would return. 10/10

Lobster Empanadas with a lighter dough than traditional empanadas

Professional, warm, non intrusive Service is no longer a lost art! It's a huge place so good for large parties. Food: Elevated, fresh ingredients were abundant. Lobster Empanadas were FANTASTIC: layers of flavors including squid ink in the light dough. Poblano soup was delicious and guilt free. Salad was vibrant and fresh. Tres Leches and gelato were tasty. Drinks: sublime and curated even for "traditional ones" I ordered off menu. I hope to return for Live Music on Sunday Afternoons.

Back at one of my favorites!…read more Started with the Smoked Redfish Dip and, as always, it did not disappoint. Creamy, smoky, flavorful, and paired with warm crackers... an easy 10/10. I decided to step outside my comfort zone and try the Oysters Rockefeller... and let's just say they weren't my speed. They weren't bad, just not for me. So naturally I sent them back and ordered my tried-and-true favorite... Chargrilled Oysters with extra garlic butter, Parmesan, and bacon. Now THAT'S what I came for! Rich, buttery, cheesy, smoky, and absolutely loaded with flavor. Every bite reminded me why these are my go-to. And because brunch rules apply... it was only right to enjoy a pineapple mimosa (or two ). Light, refreshing, and the perfect pairing for all that seafood. If you're visiting Goode Co. Seafood, my advice is simple: Don't skip the Smoked Redfish Dip. Order the Chargrilled Oysters. Add extra garlic butter. Thank me later. 9.5/10 -- I'll definitely be back! #LoveJonesEats #HoustonEats #GoodeSeafood #ChargrilledOysters #SeafoodLover #HoustonFoodie #BrunchVibes #MimosaMood #SupportLocal #FoodieFinds

The Servers and Managers were very welcoming they picked up that he was visiting on leave. They were genuinely interested and so welcoming. At the end of our meal, our server put a military discount on our son's meal without him asking. This is so appreciated that they were kind to do that. As for the seafood.... Delicious, fresh, and most importantly, not too fancy. They let their high quality shellfish and fish shine as they should. Thank you to the entire Restaurant for your kindness and making it a very special time. We walked out my son said, " wow they were really nice" " I love that place". The ambiance is casual elegant. From managing a time constraint and adding 2 guests the day of they did what was possible to make sure that we were treated like guests. So many restaurants start off from the mind set that they can make the patrons jump through whatever hoops or meet any number of strange criteria just to come dine, but they made sure we felt welcomed. Everybody had a great time with the visuals and the taste of the signature cocktails, the frozen orange juice as a floater in the ome the ladies ordered is a standout. Our appetizers portion of the meal was our overall highlight here on this visit. The 3 available raw east coast variety were presented tastefully and were fresh of course. Grilled octopus was easily some of the best prepared I've had, they nailed the texture. Eggplant dish was crispy, lobster gnocchi was spectacular with how much lobster made it on to the plate and quality of the gnocchi itself. Our mains were excellently prepared, I had the Tilefish, it was exactly as described by our waiter, and the crispy skin was executed perfectly. My wife's lamb chops were cleaned off the bone, not much higher of a compliment to be made there. Really the experience was capped off with class when we approached our agreed upon time to wrap things up prior to the concert. We had taken all of our time with the hot portion of the meal that we had left none for dessert. The staff then in unison changed out our plates and plated our selection of what seemed like all the dessert options for us to pick from as we liked. They allowed us a little extra time to enjoy the end of our meal and it was an amazing way to end our visit to Little's.

We went around 6 p.m. on a weekday, and they had a steady flow of business. It's a small restaurant with a small parking lot, but they do have an additional lot across the street. We were greeted right away and seated immediately. Our waiter was also tending the bar. He was incredibly friendly and working hard, but because he seemed to be juggling so much on his own, service was on the slower side. For the appetizer, we ordered the Crispy Fried Oysters & Brussels, and I got the redfish for my entrée. The Brussels sprouts were flash-fried perfectly, and I loved the sweetness of the chili honey glaze. The oysters had a nice crispy coating, but I found them to be a little bland. The redfish, though, was absolutely the star of the meal. I cleaned my plate. It was served with Hoppin' John and a lemon butter sauce. I had never heard of Hoppin' John before, but it's essentially a Southern rice-and-bean dish, and paired with that lemon butter, it was so flavorful. It complemented the fish perfectly.
