My confirmation of my reservation text and emailed to me. Also reminder of my reservation.

Avoid This Place - Dishonest, Disorganized, and Power-Tripping Door Staff If you want to be lied to, ripped off, and treated like garbage before you even step foot inside, this is the place for you. I completely agree with the recent negative reviews. The door girls working on July 5th & same girls worked a previous day I came to watch the world cup game are an absolute nightmare and are actively killing this business. I had a confirmed reservation for 6 people inside in the super club room. I received multiple texts and emails confirming it, and I even called ahead to double-check due to some of their reviews of not honoring reservations. When I arrived, the door girls told me to step out of the regular line and to come forward because of my reservation. Then, they completely refused to honor it, claiming they no longer had any available tables inside. Their "solution" to a 6-person reservation was trying to force us onto a tiny, round-top table that barely fits 2 people, located outside in the blistering heat. When I refused, the girl with the clipboard walked up who I figured could help and would have better customer service but who clearly thinks she runs the show but has zero customer service skills rudely told me that if I didn't take the tiny table, I had to go to the very back of the line. Mind you, they were the ones who told me to step out of line in the first place. It gets worse. These people are completely unethical and dishonest. They charge you a cover fee at the door and sneakily add their own tip onto it without telling you. If you aren't aggressively checking, they will happily rob you blindly. The only reason this place gets any stars is because the food is actually good, and the waitresses and bartenders are nice. In fact, our waitress was the only reason we got a decent table outside. But management needs to wake up. If you are not going to honor reservations, turn off the online booking system. Fire or retrain the power-tripping, dishonest girls at the front door. Until they fix their unethical staff, save your money and go somewhere else. Another concern is it does not seem like management cares because I see zero responses to concerns on here.

I wish I would've discovered this place sooner! They have happy hour until 9pm and all their happy hour food and drinks are $5. The drinks were super strong and the food was sooo flavorful! The ambiance was nice and the waiter was attentive. I got the nachos with chicken and beef and it was 100/10. Def will be returning

Fabian's is absolutely amazing! From the music to the food to the dancing, everything is top-notch. It's the perfect spot to enjoy authentic cuisine and hit the dance floor. Don't miss out on this gem!

The thief with the highlights

Came here for my bday to celebrate with my friend they charge to get in so my friend paid , while my friend paid the door lady with the highlight added her own tip in which is stealing. My friend tried to undo the tip and she clicked it and went away . It was three options it was the middle option she chose: then she had the audacity to come up to my friend who paid and said I know y'all recorded me and I'll refund it and we told her if you need the tip that badly to steal you can keep it. Beware!! Of the thieves and they'll add the tip themselves at the door

Went here back on Valentine's Day with my date. All staff we interacted with were amazing and do speak Spanish. I felt like I was in another little world there. Food was good all around.

Love this place for a night out! Great music, great vibes, has an authentic Latin feel. The space is huge with both indoor and outdoor areas. They serve food late which is nice and the quality is pretty good, would say better than your typical bar menu. Had some late night nachos that were delicious, empanadas were okay. As for the service, which is why I docked one star, was a little slow, and both times I came here the servers only spoke Spanish (luckily was with Spanish speaking friends so wasn't an issue).

AMAZING FOOD! My daughter and I visited Fabian's while on a quick trip to Houston. I called to find out about the type of food they served and the owner Fabian was courteous and friendly. We were Not disappointed, the food was Amazing! We had a couple of their Colombian dishes and it felt like we were eating a home cooked meal, since we are Ecuadorian. The ambiance was lively, the service great and we will definitely return when we visit Houston again. Thank you Fabian and staff!

Puerto Rican Tostones

As a note: this is to comment on the food and dining experience. Not the the dancing portion. You'll see in this review. It was hard to tell by the website it turns into a club by 8:30pm. We walked out feeling disappointed and deceived. We had quite the experience at Fabian's. After finishing an evening by the pool, we were looking for a quick bite in the area and had heard a lot of great things about Fabian's. So we ordered a car to take us there. However I think they subverted all our expectations and not in the best ways. First off, I'm not reviewing the experience of the dance floor. We had no idea it was a dance club based on the website. However they still seated us for food? I later learned from other individuals in my group the bouncer made comments about our clothes and questioned if we'd be staying long, even criticizing some of the clothing. Additionally of the group of us, even though we all had bags i was the only one asked to check my bag. Again we came from the pool. Luckily I didn't have my wallet in there. If it was that much of a problem, it's okay to tell us to go somewhere else. I kind of wish we did. Once ordering food, it was hard to order amongst the loud music. It was so loud that by the time all our food came out, many menu items were missed or inputted incorrectly. For example, three orders of rice and beans and two ceviche were in our order. We got two rice and beans and one ceviche. A fish taco became a shrimp taco order. If an environment as loud as this wants to serve food, maybe an online ordering model works better. I will say, we were all very surprised about the food portion sizes. One taco was enormous, as were the size of the arepas. Many of the dishes were very large. Even a side of rice and beans was enough to get me full. We were filled quickly. With my onion cilantro and scallion allergy, I could not have too much. The Puerto Rican tostones I could have were good. I also could only have rice and beans. The taco would've been ok with my allergy they said but it was one of the items that came out wrong. Additionally, there was a resounding note that any dish with chicken in it was very dry. Finally the thing that really made me begin writing this review mentally was the somewhat shady practices throughout our experience. Chips and salsa were served on our table when we were seated. We found out when paying the bill that the two plates of chips and salsa were not included, but added to our bill. Good thing we checked out bill since the items that we ordered that didn't come out still made it to our bill. Gratuity was added to our bill but not out right states. Therefore we accidentally tipped twice on an experience not worth double gratuity. While some may know it's expected to have it included when 6 people dine, if it's not it's preying off of not knowing to get us to pay more. I'm not very satisfied with how our night went. Our intent was to look for dinner. We thought this would be dinner. Maybe had we known what to expect we could've reframed our expectations. But unfortunately we were let down. We hope our experience is something others can note before they decide to come here for food!! Maybe it'll be different if we were looking for a night to dance.

Great service and atmosphere. I usually stop by here for dancing on Sundays. Today I got the steak salad. They never disappoint.

But what really caught my eye was the ceviche they had available. The service was good, she showed us the difference between the Ecuadorian and Peruvian ceviche that we were interested in trying. Both were seasoned very well, but my friend's Peruvian ceviche was definitely the headlining item for her. It was actually her first time having ceviche with fish, and I think it was a pretty good introduction. We also got a very generous portion, which I always appreciate when trying something new that I end to enjoying. All in all, we really enjoyed the ceviche and would definitely return to Andes Café to try some of the other items on the menu. But for sure, the ceviche will be making a repeat appearance on our next visit.

The team at Mamajuana Café clearly pays attention to every detail--from timing and presentation to the thoughtful combination of ingredients and spices. Every dish felt carefully crafted and intentionally prepared. I only wish I lived closer so I could return more often and explore more of the menu. We ordered the burger and the filet mignon, and I highly recommend both. In fact, the burger was excellent. We street parked without trouble finding a spot. The inside is upscale and sleek and transported us into vacation mode. It reminded us of some of the really nice resort restaurants that we tried in Mexico. We were seated right away without reservations. Our waiter was so helpful and made sure we were having a good time. Drinks We love mezcals, and they offer to tailor your drink if you have certain preferences. I wanted the spiced pluma, and they switched the tequila for a mezcal, which I loved. I also tried the masa menos as is and thought it was delicious. There were many native Oaxacan items on the menu, but they also had as a special an escamoles taco as an appetizer. Apparently escamoles (ant larvae) is only available in 2 restaurants in the US. This was definitely the highlight of the whole meal. It was nutty and delicious, grilled perfectly- really a must try if available! First course Tetela: delicious and unique Ceviche: compared to everything else, this was a little lack luster (should have gotten the memelita) Second course Tlayuda: interesting and fun to try once but wouldn't get again, kinda like a thin crust pizza Cachetes de Res: the meat was so tender and really enjoyed the mole (so perfect with a mezcal drink) Third course Helado de Elote: this was ok, would consider their other desserts Cacao: huge, a show stopper and tasty. So many textures! You can really appreciate the time and effort to create this dish. We will definitely be back, whether for their happy hour or to try their mole tasting menu.

The food was authentic, which I love but I don't think it lived up to its price point and there are better high-end Mexican restaurants in Houston. Would I go back? Within 3-5 minutes of my arrival, the valet driver, Gustavo, was involved in an accident in my BMW that caused substantial damage. Valet staff and restaurant management knew there had been an accident, yet no one came to notify me. I sat in the restaurant for more than 90 minutes completely unaware that my vehicle had been damaged. I found out only when I was leaving, when Gustavo approached me with, "Don't get an attitude, I had an accident in your car." That was his opening statement. Not an apology. Not "Are you okay?" Not "We need to speak with you." He damaged my property and somehow I was the one being warned about my attitude. He then became combative, raised his voice at me, and presented himself as though he were management. The level of audacity was almost impressive. Restaurant management did not handle it much better. Johnathan and Jose both acknowledged that I am a regular and recognized my face, yet management showed very little urgency, offered no meaningful acknowledgment of what had happened, and did not even offer to comp my meal. No, a complimentary dinner would not fix a BMW. It would, however, have demonstrated basic hospitality after allowing a regular customer to unknowingly eat dinner for 90 minutes while his vehicle sat outside damaged. The communication afterward with Cedars Valet was even more concerning. Mohammed, Cedars Valet President acknowledged in writing, "we admit what we did" and initially stated, "Rest assure we will cover our damage." Yet the conversation quickly shifted to Cedars attempting to decide, before BMW has even completed their inspection, which portions of the damage they would and would not accept responsibility for. Interesting approach considering Cedars had possession of my vehicle when the accident occurred. Accidents can happen. What does not have to happen is failing to notify the customer, allowing them to sit inside for an hour and a half, greeting them with hostility when they finally discover it, and then immediately trying to minimize the damage afterward. If you valet at Gloria's, understand the risk is apparently not limited to whether your vehicle gets damaged. Pay very close attention to how you may be treated once it does. As someone who regularly patronized this restaurant, I expected significantly better. The accident was bad enough. The lack of transparency, professionalism, accountability, and basic customer care afterward is what made the experience truly unacceptable.
