I did not get the man's name, but he had a slight New Jersey(?) accent. I took my vehicle in and explained what it was doing and the noises it was making. He put it up on the rack and came back and told me that there appeared to be no problem with the exhaust, but there had been some shields rubbing against it and he had readjusted them. Took 15 minutes, refused payment and now my vehicle is sounding the way it should. These guys know what they're doing and I would totally recommend them to anyone. Howdy, I took my new RV mufflers and the old ones with pipes as an example for the muffler man to copy and build me new pipes. The shop is named Exhaust Works at 8250 E Bowline rd. You can see it across the street from the smog shop in east Tucson. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU USE THEM. I did not get what I went there for, I was charged $240.00 for 4 short pipes that I'm going to have to assemble and was told that the scrap man took my originals. My originals had a used value of over $3000. and now I don't have an example to show the next shop I'm going to have to find to get them right. They didn't even offer to contact the scrapper to get my original back. All I got was a weak "I'm sorry". I don't see how they got 4 stars. To be honest I dont remember how I initially found this shop, maybe google. That being said this shop is a rare gem amongst rocks. They welded an exhaust system whilst explaining how/why they werr doing as they were fetting me in the loop and giving a fair price for said work. Nearly a year later I came back for a slight alteration in said piping and they produced again beautiful work. I used to go for every job, but I stopped going here. They used to little jobs for a fair price. Recent visits were were way to pricey or they could not do some of the simplest custom work. Bad service at Fort Lowell and Broadway locations. I was in a pinch for service on a Saturday, so I tried Exhaustworks again, this time the Bowline location. Do not go here and do not confuse this with the other Exhaust Works on Broadway, they are not owned by the same people anymore. I first took my car here to get the manifold fixed and was quoted $220 to weld but strongly recommended to replace the whole system for $650. I went to get a second opinion from the one on Broadway and paid $75 to weld. I cannot understand why businesses try to take advantage of people and overcharge them. Especially when most people these days have access to the Internet and can read reviews like this. My guess is the only reason this place has other good reviews is because people accidentally confused this location with the one on Broadway. If were up to me I would give them no stars but Yelp makes you give them at least one star. read more
