As a younger female college student that has always been taught to be wary of mechanics, I took a jump on this locally owned business. I am pleasantly surprised by the amazing service that Loren and Bryan have provided me with and I'll be going back as long as I am here. They take great pride in their work and don't mind explaining things to someone who doesn't know anything about cars beyond how to change a battery and put on a spare tire. I've never had a problem with their prices or their service (customer or behind the scenes) and I trust them to be honest and tell me what I need and what problems may arise in the future. Loren & his brother are first & foremost always honest with you. They keep a clean shop & their service is top notch. My car needed a new gas tank & filler tube as well as another part. They had to order 2 parts because it was unclear which one was the correct one but they only charged me for the correct one. Great guys. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews but this is where I'm at. Last month we sent one of our fleet vans to Accurate Automotive because the emissions system check engine light was on and the vehicle would not pass emissions. Accurate immediately told me I had a vacuum leak and wanted to charge me over $500 to remove and reseal the intake manifold which made no sense to me since I know my way around mechanics very well, just not emissions systems. The van ran great and the only issue was the check engine light. Of course there was a code that was related to this but the mechanic insisted that there was an intake leak. When I asked him if he was sure this would fix the problem he instantly copped an attitude and told me that this was where we would have to start and go from there. I could tell that he did not like me questioning his diagnosis and he assumed I was just some dumbass that didn't understand automotive mechanics. At this point I get very uncomfortable and was concerned that I would be writing a blank check for God knows how much money so I opted to get a second opinion. When we picked up the van and paid for the diagnostic, the manager refused to write down the results of that diagnostic on the receipt. He stated that he verbally told me what needed to be done and would not write it on the receipt. I took the van to another shop in town and they diagnosed a bad fuel filter. They replaced the fuel filter and it passed emissions and has been on the road trouble free for several weeks. I think that the customer service aspect needs improvement and that the management there should be more focused on "accurately" diagnosing vehicle problems since that's what they're name says rather than jumping to expensive conclusions which is why I went there in the first place. I've attached the receipt they gave me and you can see there is no mention of what they actually diagnosed. read more

My name is Ricky and I would like to share My experience at this shop both as a employee (2 x between 2010 and 2016) and as a man who doesn't trust anyone and used to not really care or know what it is to serve people. 2010 I have just been released from federal prison (Marijuana charge) . I was approximately 26 when I went for my interview. I walked through the door and made eye contact with Loren. He wrapped things up with a customer then greeted Me and retrieved Brian from the back. Brian walks up smiles and takes me to his office for the interview. The office and shop were very nice compared to other shops i have been employed at and the person interviewing me was a breath of fresh air ! He has a kindness and a demeanor that is not par for the course in the auto repair industry. At the end of the interview these exact words came from Brian's mouth, "Ricky, I want to help you". Inside my head I was confused , happy, I felt a hint of worth that I so desperately needed at that time in my life. That moment is forever forged into my memory. In my experience these moments are very finite. The moments when people come into your life that make a difference and change you for the better leaps and bounds ahead of where you started. Brian and Loren took me from being the punk kid in the back just trying to get through the day as quickly and as Leslie as possible to really knowing what it is to have pride in your work, serve people by doing a good job for them, and now I am a successful heavy equipment diagnostic and repair technician . Brian's wealth of knowledge which he was so willing to share with me changed my career forever. Took his time to show me the correct way to do things he thought me how to troubleshoot and diagnose every type of problem you can counter in vehicles effectively professionally and what it is to be thorough. professionally he was and is who I consider my mentor he is the one that turned diagnostics in repair into a career for me. Brian went to bat for me to help me get visitation in time established with my little boy, he was always willing to help with any problems or issues I was having even outside of the workplace. I can come to him with life problems and if he didn't have what he considered to be good advice or have some type of solution is brother Loren did. I have many memories of laughing with them crying with them celebrating with them and even at times morning with them. The care of these men have for their customers is unmatched. The first time that I ended up leaving to work somewhere else was due to my family owning a business and them pretty much offering me a steak in it. When I said in the office and told him I was leaving I cried a baby. They told me they weren't mad at me they hugged me. they both shared some concerns about the choices I was making. One thing that hadn't been fixed by them or with them for me who is the fact that I knew everything. I went on stayed in contact with him and the things came to pass that they warned me about and once again I found myself working for Brian and Loren. The second time around is somewhat difficult for me to talk about while I was back over there I found myself in my diction again Brian Loren noticed patterns I will come in Monday worn out I would drag until Wednesday or Thursday morning get a bunch of stuff done and repeat. They saw their friend struggling. they tried to help me a few different ways and we're very kind about it. eventually my diction started affecting my work and my quality the second Brian and Lauren saw that they knew they had to do something. Sitting here now I look back and I feel awful for the position I put my friends in. They loved me so much that they Could not bring them selves to fire me. Brian came to me had a conversation with me that he did not want to have. He offered for me to kind of be a janitor around there till I can get my stuff together once again me knowing everything I decided to leave which Brian did not expect. As I left he actually gave me a hug I think I even saw some tears. Accurate automotive became another victim of my addiction. I hurt Brian and Lauren. hey broke their hearts the only way you can break someone's heart is if they love you. I have remained in contact with Brian and Loren throughout the years. I miss them incredibly much. on the business side of things they operate with honesty, integrity, caring, and willingness. On the personal side of things they will sacrifice so much of themselves in trying to help people. Like I said I still talk to them I consider them great friends and there is no other shop in Tucson that truly cares more for the customers in does the most thorough job and puts everything into serving their customers . i'm almost out of the allotted space for review. wonderful caring incredible business and people behind it! Can't give it a zero score. Sadly that was not available. Went in for a minor service when my gf picked up the car, it was smoked in, and had them little mini bottles still under the hood. Not for car repairs looks like the so called "tech". Or drunk I should say. Needless to say almost 2 qts low and this nonsense from hiring drunks and drug addicts. The owner should be ashamed of himself employing a drunk to work on your car? God only knows what else they could be doing down there. Do not take any vehicle here what so ever. Located close to the dept of licensing, I expected to be charged a premium for repairs when we failed emissions. Quite the contrary occurred and Loren and his team at Accurate Automotive have worked on multiple cars for our family and friends. Our first experience was in June of 2013, when we had a rather pricey repair on a Catalytic converter due to a less-than-savory used car dealer that used duct tape as a quick fix on a car we bought in a hurry. Although it was an unexpected expense, Loren educated us on the problem, explained our options and delivered what he said he could for the time and price expected. During the same time, we had another vehicle fail (we had moved to Tucson from non-emissions state) and we headed straight to Accurate prepared for the worst. This time, Loren came out and quickly switched a fuse out. Again, he took the time to educate us on why the vehicle has failed, and what to do to make sure it would not fail again. Best of all, there was no charge for this service! We then recommended Accurate to other friends and family members, none of whom have had a bad experience. Over the years we have spend tens of thousands of dollars on mechanics and I am typically happy with a 70% success rate. So far, Accurate has far exceeded that. read more

Absolutely fantastic place to bring my car!! Having only been in Tucson for 2 weeks after a 2000 mile trip from Florida, my check engine light came flashing on, I lost power and it made a tractor type noise. An obvious misfire. I took it to Autozone for a code read and they told me what it might be, but said visit a mechanic, I was recommended Accurate and turned up at their shop before they opened at 8am, to be greeted by Loren. I told him the issue, he said they'd run a full diagnostic. When informed of the issues, Loren was thorough and forth coming. What they found was the same but remedy was different. The engine was making a noise took it in because my father-in-law has used these people for a long time. I could not be there. He called and said they told him the power steering pump has gone bad and that we would need to spend $1,000 to fix it. The next day the alternator froze up and the car died and left us stranded. It was the alternator that was making the noise and I suspected that it had nothing to do with the power steering pump. Had I listened to these guys I would have been out $1,000 for a repair that didn't need to be made then I would have been back getting the repair for the actual problem which would have cost me another six or seven hundred dollars. If you guys can't diagnose these simple of problems oh, you're not good at your job. read more
