I heard mixed reviews about Executive Honda, but decided to give them a chance - and I am so happy I did. I sent an internet inquiry in on a specific vehicle and Amber was so helpful in setting up my appointment. It was confirmed by Danielle who was also very friendly and helpful throughout my experience. Khaled was my Sales Consultant and it was a perfect match. From the test drive to walking out to my new car he answered every question and went above and beyond. He is funny, easy to work with and made the process not as stressful as it could have been. The vehicle I ended up purchasing had an excessive amount of scratches when I first looked at it and I was not happy with it and would have walked away; but Khaled and the Used Car Sales Manager asked me to give them a chance to wet sand the vehicle and get the scratches out. I gave them that chance, and they worked a miracle - the car is gorgeous. Steve went above and beyond to get the car financed at a reasonable rate for something I could realistically afford. He even called me after business hours to go over some stuff. I can't say enough about how happy I am with Executive Honda and my CR-V buying experience. Absolutely terrible. I am a recent college graduate who went car shopping for my first car with my 82 year old grandfather who has been leasing cars for decades. I currently drive a Honda Civic that my parents bought for my siblings and me that I love to drive and therefore had my heart set on getting a new one. They didn't have any Civics on the lot, so we asked for a lease quote. I man named David showed us the figures which were far more than what we had anticipated, not to mention about 100 over what they should have been per month. When my Grandfather asked to see the math, David became almost irate and proceeded to yell at my Grandfather, telling him he didn't know what he was talking about. As my Grandfather repeated that he wasn't there to argue, David became more disrespectful and even more angry, saying he didn't know the math because it's all on the computer. Well, considering that he has been in the business for 14 years (a fact which he kept saying over and over to defend himself), I think "it's all on the computer" is a pathetic excuse for a seasoned car salesman to not be able to explain how he was arriving at those numbers. Needless to say, my Grandfather and I left with a terrible taste in our mouths and I was shocked at how David had spoken to an elderly man. Right after that, we went to a nearby Mazda dealership and it was like a complete 180. The saleswoman and the owner were fantastic, and they even asked my Grandfather how he knew so much about cars. I signed a deal that afternoon for a brand new Mazda3 that I absolutely love and all of the math added up to exactly the way my Grandfather had said it should. It is safe to say that I will never go back to this dealership and I have told all of my friends who are also looking for cars to steer clear. read more

I broke down on the freeway coming back from the airport and got towed to this Honda location thinking it was like my service station. Thinking I could trust a Honda dealership to identify the problem. At 7 am I called notifying them that my car was out back and gave them specific details of my experience. They said they would charge me a service fee to identify the problem and call me with details. Well by noon I had not received a call so I called. I was told my service representative was busy and that he would call me back. By 2pm no call and so I called again. At 3 he finally called and told me it was the battery. I told him I though it was more than that because of several reasons. He did not listen to me and told me they were certain. So I drove back returned my rental car and paid the fee. As soon as I got on the freeway I broke down again. And of course they were closed and did not pick up the phone. I got in touch with a sales representative who told me they were closed. When I told her this was urgent she transferred me to the "manager" and I waited on hold for 25 min before I decided to hang up and call AAA. I called my Honda dealership on the way home and he said it sounded by my description that it was something different all together and he could tell that from my description. I never get upset but this pushed me over the top. DONT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! read more

This place doesn't even deserve a star at all. Joe Chapman in the service department is so rude, how he has a job there is beyond me. They must just hire anyone there. If you are looking to buy a car or get work done on your car take the extra ride and go to Westbrook Honda. Mike Hamilton is such an amazing guy he cares about the customers and puts them first. Joe and Jamie the Sales Manager all they care about is dollar signs. Don't waste your time at this dealership or the one in Branford, I called the Sales Manager Jeremy Abramson on several occasions and each time I call the receptionist tells me he is busy or not there, some sales manager. Bought a car in 2013 - never received a phone call as a follow up or a thank you. Salesperson said they must have dialed a different number. When I called to complain to the GM, the sales person could have then called (one doesn't buy a $20,000 vehicle from you and you lose their number) - but didn't. Had to go back in on a weekend a short while after and have my security code enabled on the GPS Screen. They should have checked this before selling - I took time out of my day to come back and have this completed. Service is great though........ read more

I wrote a review about a month ago regarding a very bad experience. I had brought my element in to have the oil changed, upon them changing the oil they gave my car a once over and noticed a few issues. I then brought it back to have it gone thru a second time for a more detailed inspection.(have the paperwork from both times). I was informed of some other issues that needed to be repaired and given a quote. Never once was I informed that my drive shaft was hanging on by less then half an inch!!!! In fact both inspections showed that there was nothing at all wrong with my drive shaft instead it was listed in green condition ( very good condition). Turns out they can't hold my vehicle but they are required to list it as unsafe or even call the dmv to state that it is unsafe so they can pull my plates. They did neither, instead they let me leave saying nothing each time. Now if I would have gotten in an accident I could have used them and they would be completely liable!!!! I contacted corporate honda informed them of my issue and then went back to honda in wallingford broken u joint in hand. They seemed very shocked and apologetic and told me that they would get back to me about the incident. Needless to say a month later no one has even called me about it, in fact they tried to contact me to sell me a new car instead never once mentioning the issue I had. So again I will be calling corporate and have placed a call to a manager at wallingford honda. We will see if they have enough decency to maybe get back to me this time!!!! read more

I'm not sure where to even start. On Wednesday February 15th my husband and I went to executive Honda to inquire about getting a new car for myself. Walked in and one of the salespeople, Sami sat us down and did the normal sales speech, (we don't make money off of sales, we are here to provide you with the best customer service and have you walk away happy with your new car) Gave him my desired monthly payments and he was only able to provide me with 2 cars, said I didn't qualify for leasing. We looked at one of the cars and I liked it so we decided to go on with signing papers and the credit application. On Thursday, Sami, called me and advised me I got approved for the loan but in my co-signers name not mine, they said they tried to put my name first but no one would accept me. Thought everything was normal, Sami told me I just had to get insurance and come in Friday to sign papers and take home the car. Friday around 11am (mind you I was supposed to pick up the car at 4:30 that day) from Sami's business manager (not sure of his name) to inform me that there's problems with my information. He accused me of committing fraud because I put my new last name (just got married 2 months ago) and nothing came up for my new name. He also said I lied about my address because I put my address that's on my license (parents address) and not the address I live at. Advised him I was told by Sami to match what was on my license, manager said he didn't care what was said it's not on them it's on me and he "refuses to go to jail for me committing fraud." I was obviously upset with this conversation, I told him that this isn't great customer service and I should of been advised of all of this the previous day, not few hours before I go pick up the car. He said again he's not going to jail for me. I told him I will be taking my business elsewhere and he said k have a good day and hung up. I have never ever been treated with this much disrespect in my life, and frankly even if this was my fault I still should of been treated with the respect I deserve. It doesn't even stop there. I went to Branford Honda and picked a car, nicest people I've ever met, when they ran my credit they said the dealership messed up my cosigners credit, there were red flags with each bank and they only ran her credit not even mine like they stated they had. I am highly upset with this situation, executive Honda has the WORST customer service ever, they are full of lies and disprespect. read more

One star is being overly generous. We were lied to and cheated by these people . Too many mistakes. I left my number twice so a general could call me back . Never got one. If they know you are calling with a problem they won't even hear you just basically treat you like garbage. If you are buying a car it's a different story. Never trust them to return a lease to them. I was disrespected and spoken rudely to by a sales associate. He corrected me how to spell a word in a email and talked to me rudely and disrespectful. I feel like I wasn't respected in the proper way I should of been. My husband was in uproar over the whole incident and we ended up not buying a vehicle there. What got me so upset, was the sales associate never personally apologized for his actions towards me. The customer service here has declined greatly over the past few months. Had a car repaired at Executive Honda after getting rear ended. After the first visit upon driving the car home we notice that the break lights were not working. I mean come on it takes 2 and a half seconds to depress the breaks to see if they are working. I was so pissed that they allowed my wife on the road in such dangerous and illegal conditions. Took two more attempts just to get that fixed. After a month, and a lot rain, we notice the carpets were soaked. Come to find out they put the hatch on incorrectly which cause rain to leak, go into the tire well, under the back seat and flood the carpet. There had to be 3-4 gallons of water in the car. After 6 more attempts (oh we repair it, it would rain again, oh we repair it again) and the fact that they left puddles IN the car, I had to threaten to sue before they would remove the carpet. Finally after removing the carpet they found more water pooling under the carpet. We just finally got the car back after 7 days. We will see if it is fixed this time. I couldn't be happier with the experience I had and the CR-V I am now driving. Rob (Internet sales), Chad (sales) and Nathan (finance) worked with me to get the best deal possible. I was treated poorly at several other dealerships as a woman shopping on my own. NOT here! At every level it was a great experience. Best of all, Chad took time to include my 11 year old daughter in the conversation while test driving. It was a pleasure to work with Executive Honda. This rating is for the service department. Unfortunately, I experienced rude service; not once, but repeatedly from several people, including the service manager. Seems as they are so busy that are fed up with their clients. I never expected from a Honda dealership. A while back I called this dealer to set up an appointment for a Honda recall service. The answer was: "we don't have parts and we won't for a long time; call us back". You would think they would follow up. Nope. Ok, called back 3 weeks ago. Was told "No parts in stock; we will place an order and we will contact you when we get the parts". The Agent was super dry, no ETA of any kind, or any follow up. Waiting, waiting and driving unsafe car. 2+ weeks later I called again and speaking to one of the reps. Basically, she is telling "why you bother calling us; we told you we will call you when parts arrive". I say: "I want to know the ETA", so now speaking to a Service manager. Now, all of the sudden he is looking for my vehicle ID# to verify which parts I needed. I don't believe they don't have that information in the system and why would they not ask that question before. So, I figure no one even checked or ordered part in the first place. Go figure, parts are in stock and probably were there from day one. He asked me: "who did I speak to"; I say "I didn't take the name" and his reply: "Well, we have so many people here, how am I supposed to check". read more

I have been shopping for a Honda Odyssey for several weeks. During this time I visited two other Honda dealerships and interacted with two others online. The people I interacted with at Executive Honda were by far the most professional and respectful. They didn't play the typical sales games and I was treated fairly on both the purchase of the new van and on my trade (after a little bit of negotiation). I would wholeheartedly recommend Executive Honda to anyone who would listen. read more

An appointment was made one week in advance to have a new sun visor installed. When I arrived at the dealership for my scheduled appointment, they informed me the new sun visor had NOT been ordered because of a, "new process". Apparently, the person in charge of ordering parts wasn't being made of aware of when things needed to be ordered. They apologized and offered to take the service fee off the cost. I accepted that possibly the mistake had been made accidentally and made another appointment, for two weeks later, to have the repair made. My new sun visor was installed as expected and I left feeling rather content. However, as I was driving away from the dealership another motorist gestured for me to pull over. Thankfully, the motorist noticed that my car hood was not fully closed. I was about to get on the highway. Had he not noticed, the entire hood could have blown back to my windshield, blinding me and possibly leading to my demise. No fewer than THREE associates watched me drive away with my hood not fully latched down. In the future, I will be driving further and taking my business to the Branford dealership. Everyone makes mistakes, but the service at this dealership is inexcusable. If you plan to go, confirm in advance they have the necessary parts on hand. After service, plan to do your own safety inspection before driving anywhere. read more

Terrible terrible terrible. If I could give 1/2 star I would. Inquired about a vehicle that we were told was on hold. When we arrive at the dealership we were told by salesperson who went in the back that he spoke with a manager and the car was no longer on hold- so we test drove it, and gave credit card information for a deposit with plans to finish the sale later in the week as it was closing time. We were told the car could not even be test drove with our deposit on it. My husband called back on the second day to make definite plans to finish the sale and pick up the car and they said it was sold. To make matters worse they offered us a "deal" which was a more expensive car with more miles that we didn't want, that was the same as the asking price. Manager was no help, still waiting on a call back from him to "make it right". Buyer beware never go here. read more

I can not say enough about this dealership, from the salesman to the managers to the finance dept, everyone was wonderful. This was my first buying experience with an actual dealership. My husband and I stopped in late saturday afternoon after spending ALL day at another "dealership" where we originally went to finish a deal. We ended up leaving very frustrated and with a pit in our stomachs. My mother had previously purchased 2 cars at executive and said we should swing by before we gave up for the day. We stopped in, looked around knowing what we were interested in and asked for Mohamed who my parents have dealt with in the past. He came outside and introduced himself. He saw how frustrated we were and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. He was very easy to talk to, extremely funny,not pushy at all and very understanding. We went for a test drive and decided to go back the following day. We went back on Sunday, talked a bit and put down a deposit. He put it through financing and we got a call on Monday that we were approved and all set to come in and do the paperwork. We went in tonight and once again , mohamed made us feel right at home . He has such a great personality and was just a pleasure to work with. He called my insurance company and took care of everything very quickly He brought us in to Hannah (who was also wonderful) to fill out all the paperwork. She went through everything very quickly, and was more than willing to answer my questions. We had all the paperwork done within 15 minutes and we were on our way. It was painless. Mohamed showed me to my new CRV and I was on my way. The car was also beautifully detailed. I was worried that something would go wrong due to the past experience we had but they truly went above and beyond. I am kicking myself for not going here from the start. We all love the new car, the kids were so exited to check it out. Thank you all again!! read more

I brought my Honda Element to Executive Honda, 1194 North Colony Rd, Wallingford CT, for an oil change, ignition system check, and for a squeaking wheel. They told me the vehicle needed extensive repairs, including suspension and exhaust, exceeding $4900! The repairs were highlighted red on an estimate form, stating that they required immediate attention. I was told flanges on the exhaust system were rotted bad and will break very soon. Some of the work they quoted included repairs that they had already done six months ago! For a second opinion, I took the vehicle to another established auto repair company, who confirmed only a loose heat shield and fixed it for $45. Honda quoted $120 to repair the same heat shield. I took the vehicle to yet another established auto repair company, and they too could not see any of the problems noted in the Executive Honda assessment. Executive Honda was claiming my vehicle urgently needed extensive and costly repairs that are apparently completely unnecessary. Because of this I have lost all confidence in their credibility and integrity. I will not be going back. If you go to Executive Honda in Wallingford and get a repair estimate, do yourself a favor and get a second opinion. read more
