Do you know when the waiter is so rude to you and you complain to the manager? And then the waiter comes back and continues to yell at you in front of your children? Come here to get that experience! I am scared to eat my food now. read more

I don't see why it's getting such lousy reviews. Stopped by on a Sunday upstate trip and ordered eggs Benedict and a burger. Both were good and service was good. Better than Denny's and at the same price. I'm not gonna marry it but it's worth a date. read more

Their take out service is horrible. I ordered eggs and home fries and for the amount expected a decent amount to take home and pretty much got nothing. The portion was incredibly small & they didn't even include utensils for take out. Their dine in experience isn't that bad but I wouldn't recommend it as a top diner. read more

This place probably wouldn't survive if it wasn't off highway and near hotels. The service was ok at first then once food arrived no return to get refill of drink or ask how it was until the end. Food was average, eggplant parm was a lot but I wouldn't order it again. The manager barely had anything to do since it wasn't busy but he was able to use his phone anytime I saw , when I paid he barely acknowledged me and again was on his phone. I had the impression I was bothering him when I went to pay. If I have to come to this area again I would find anyplace else. read more

A very sad place to eat. When you walk in, you are greeted by an anemic desert display case. This should have been enough to turn anyone around and walk across the street to Applebee's. The service was fine but the atmosphere was one you would find in a Steven King novel. The restaurant looks as if it had finer days but has been left to slowly rot and fade away. The environment reminds me of Mrs. Havisham' room in the novel Great Expectations. Televisions were on in two corners of the restaurant tuned into the local news. This added to the grim feel. Honestly, I will eat anywhere if the food is good. The food here was put into a doggie bag and fed to my dog. 3 bites of a burger, that was enough. The coleslaw was old and was about 5 minutes away from it's expiration date I'm sure. Take my advice, you're better off going hungry. read more

I've gone to this diner consistently for the last 15 years. Within the last few years the management and most of the staff has changed hands to the point this diner is not worth going too. Myself and my mother went for dinner tonight, the waitress took my moms order and forgot to take mine. Second, my mother asked for coffee and it never came. The kicker is we had to ask the waitress for silverware, napkins, straws, water, and refills. Not once did she come by and ask how the dinner was or if we would like anything else. Every request we had we first had to flag down the waitress in between her texting behind the counter. There are other capable diners in the area, save the stress go to them instead read more

I ordered the Cowboy Burger with mashed potatoes and gravy instead of fries and skipped the pickle and coleslaw. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and not creamy, although the lumpiness did at least allay my fears that they were potato flakes from a box. The onion rings were ok. The burger was pretty awful though. I have never had such a dense, tough, inedible burger in my life. It really did have the texture of cardboard or MDF, and it was ridiculously expensive for being such a crappy burger. I would never go here again; Wendy's down the road makes a better burger and comes in at 1/3 the cost or less. read more

I have eaten here before and had nothing but good experiences. Today was the exception. It took 30 min to get a salad with grilled chicken and a burger. The chicken was over cooked and the salad had vegetables that should have thrown out days ago. We had to hunt the waitress down whenever we needed anything including the check. It was a very disappointing experience to say the least. read more

I grew up in Queens NY and now live in Northern NJ, so I'm no stranger to diners. But this place gives diners a bad name. Incredibly bad, slow, and inattentive service, food almost inedible, and I paid $17 for two jiggers of Dewers (what they called a "double"). Of course, I had to go to the bar myself for my drink, since our waiter was nowhere to be found. Their "half pound" burger was nowhere near a half pound, and the vegetables seemed to be defrosted from a package of frozen 1970s Bird's Eye (with the little square carrot pieces). And the surly attitude of everyone who worked there didn't help matters. I've been to this place twice, which means I gave them one too many chances. read more

This diner was horrible! We ordered 4 breakfast meals and not a single person liked their food! The broccoli side we ordered was cold and soaked in oil. The bill for 4 people came to $90 dollars! I don't mind paying for good food but this left all of us feeling sick. On top of it all the staff and service were terrible! Please, save yourself the money and your time and DO NOT eat here. read more

Beautiful place. Terrible service. Took 20+ minutes for a waitress to come over. When she finally did, it took another 10 minutes to get mini glasses of water - they didn't even give us a full sized glass. Waited 30 more minutes for food and it was gross. Ordered roast chicken and mashed potatoes and vegetables. Potatoes OK but the vegetables were canned and extra salty and the chicken was disgusting. Not edible at all. Tasted like BO and smelled gross. Didn't eat it. Did I send the food back? Nope because our waitress didn't come back until she dropped off the bill. Never even refilled the water. I would expect that from a cheap restaurant but not for one that was as expensive as this. Don't waste your time going here. Take the extra two minutes and drive up Applebee's. You'll spend the same but you'll actually get food you'll eat. read more

Meh, at best. I ordered a salad. Sadly it was on bland ass iceberg lettuce. The waitress acted somewhat indifferent. I'll pass.

Worst place ever. Service is extremely slow. Food was terrible. My French toast was burnt, soggy, and had no flavor. The water tasted terrible. Outrageously expensive. read more

I don't know what people are complaining about, we stopped here with friends and all loved our meals. The service was brusque but in a fun diner way. Highly recommend! read more

This is the worst diner I've ever been to. I had dinner there a while back and wasn't thrilled, but I decided to give it another shot today for lunch. Big mistake. First, they were out of about half of everything on the menu. When we finally found things we could order, the waiter kept forgetting what we wanted and had to keep coming back to ask us. My dad ordered an omelet and toast, mom ordered a steak and hubby and I split buffalo wings and potato skins. The wings and skins arrived about 10 minutes before everything else did - because the waiter was pacing around the diner on his cell phone! When he finally delivered the rest of the food, he forgot what kind of toast dad ordered. Took him another 10 minutes to get the toast and the omelet was half eaten by then. They were out of bleu cheese dressing, so he offered us creamy Italian for the wings (?!?!) - they were terrible anyway. The steak was completely inedible - tough and totally overdone. When he asked if everything was ok, mom told him the steak was bad and his response was "oh. really." And then he just walked away. The inside of my soda glass had oily, white stuff in it. Lastly, one waitress was refilling all the ketchup and salt/pepper/sugar containers. So she kept interuppting us to switch these things out. As she was doing this, she kept picking her nose. And another waitress was vacuuming the whole time we were there, and the entire staff was having conversations with each other from opposite sides of the diner (yelling to each other) so we couldn't even talk amongst ourselves. As compensation for the inedible steak, they comped our sodas. Needless to say, we will not return. read more

I ordered a burger deluxe, chicken soup and grill cheese to go. Pretty easy order considering the place wasn't busy at all. Burger was extremely overdone and the deluxe came with only one onion ring. It may sound petty but it always comes with two ... really how much does a slice of onicon cost? The waitress didn't even include the coleslaw or pickle. I asked for Russian dressing on the side and got blue cheese instead. The soup was warm not really hot but it was ok. As far as the grill cheese, I got two slices of bread and a slice of cheese. Nothing included ... The price $4.25! Simply way too much for way too little. As far as the service. It came out quick but the waitress was colder than the ice in the water. When I asked for a second spoon for the soup you would have thought I was asking for the gold plated silverware. They insisted I had one in the bag. Bottom line. There are good diners and bad ones ... Lets just say this isn't one of the good ones read more

How do I start? The woman's bathroom looks like it hasn't been cleaned the whole day. There was toilet paper all over the floor, the stall door doesn't function properly and there was caked up urine on the seat. Food wise, when I come to a diner I expect a specific style of food. I've given this diner plenty of chances to redeem itself and it just keeps getting worse. I ask for mild buffalo wings w blue cheese and get (over) fried undernourished chicken wings w ranch. I can keep going but I won't. The food selection is poor. And the Michael Jackson picture is just weird on the menu. Service wise, the staff is either part of an equal opportunity employment agency or just plain incompetent. Come here if there's NOWHERE else to go. read more

Wonderful burgers, great portions. Deserts are out of this world. Definitely wil go again

I came in on a Sunday afternoon. The place was empty. The service in the beginning was quick once food came the service lacked. The food wasn't cooked as ordered. The medium well burger we ordered was pink and barely cooked on the inside I read negative reviews of the place and feel they are a bit harsh. The quality wasn't all that bad if I were back in the area I most likely would return also don't think it was all that expensive as other reviewers claimed it is. read more

The food is not good. I went on a Tuesday morning and the service was terrible. I came back again because there's nothing to eat in the area and had a lovely waitress who introduced herself as Margarita she made up for the tasteless food with her friendly service. She also remade me a coffee that another waitress served. The other waitress made me a terrible tasting coffee with a side of attitude. Thank you margarita for the great coffee and friendly service. read more

Not bad, very out of the way diner. I can't say much for anything else because I've only eaten breakfast here. The french toast was good, but it was french toast. The omelettes were pretty good and always what I ask for, home fries are ok - nothing to write home about. Service is fine. I'm gonna complain about the water, you get served water in those glasses they used to give a tiny OJ in when you order breakfast and that doesn't do for me. I want water, it's free. Give me water. Otherwise it's ok here. Good option for when you're super hungry and everything else has a wait. read more

Margarita(waitress)rude, Food not good, And they charge extra if you order to take out... the fine print is on the back of the menu.

I actually want to give it a 3.5, but since the owners are so nice, I will bump them up to a 4. The food deserves a 3, but the prices aren't bad for the portion you get. Also, everything is very consistent - so you know what you are getting every time. Also the waiters are really nice. They'll answer your questions and are rather quick. The only thing is that it is a basic diner -- not too special. So enjoy it as a somewhat better diner. read more

My husband and I have dined here several times for brunch. Nice food and pleasant waitstaff.

On par with what we expected - a "classic diner" menu and atmosphere with quick service (ordering and receiving our food). Meals came out exactly as ordered, which is really great when dealing with food allergies/intolerances. Similar in quality to Silver Diner in MD or IHOP elsewhere. read more

Very poor service. We had to find the waitress to take our order. Brought us our beverages and left us. Never came around to ask if we wanted a refill. Had to find her for the check. Nobody at the register to pay. Waited a while and the waitress came over to check us out. Oh, there were only 3 tables with guests at 7PM. I would not recommend this place. read more

Way to expensive for what you get. I stopped in this morning for a quick pastry on my way to work. I got a stale Danish for $4.25. This is an outlandish price for something not made in-house or even fresh. read more

As far as any diner that I've ever been to, it was the best. You wouldn't think that the a diner would be so hopsitable, but our waiter was amazing. My friend and I were sharing a meal, when they brought it out, they had split everything on two plates and we both go equal shares. We didn't ask them to do this. The food was good, but stick with the old fashioned french toast instead of the pancakes. read more

Decent if you're on the go And need something to eat it's quality like a diner so don't expect anything more than that. Coffee is good very slow to give me a refill as I was in here for at least an hour and a half and I got one refill I ordered soup Manhatten clam chowder which they claim to be one of their specialties and the waitresses favorite when I receive it it was cold and extremely salty and as if I got the bottom of the serving because there was nothing but seasoning bay leaves and potatoes . I couldn't even eat it I attempted to but couldn't . So no one checked on me for at least 40 minutes (still no coffee refill didn't get that till after my other soup) and not expecting much I just told my opinion I was still going to pay for my meal but my waitress offered to give me something else instead I opted to try the chicken soup that was delicious and I was happy with that and that was hot so I had that experience and paid for my meal and tipped her well but I wouldnt say go there if your hungry unless there's nothing else nearby are are trying to kill time not even good enough service in a empty place . read more

Awkward experience paired with mediocre food. I ordered "chicken fingers with a side of buffalo and a side of barbecue sauce". The waitress asked me "medium or hot" so I asked for hot. She brings out the food and puts a platter of buffalo chicken wings with French fries down, and when I explain very nicely (because I figure maybe she got "fingers" confused with wings) that I ordered chicken fingers, she gets an attitude with me immediately saying "no you ordered wings AND fingers. That's why I asked medium or hot". She tells me the chicken fingers are coming out too and walks away. And then she says something again from like ten feet away about the "medium or hot" thing, and I'm just trying to be nice even though she's giving major attitude and wave it off and say "it's okay maybe I'll take them to go or something". It took me a minute to process and after realizing I had no intention of taking them to go, I regretted saying I would. She should have just taken the wings away instead of insisting I ordered them. When we went to pay and left the wings on the table, untouched. We figured we wouldn't be charged for it since I didn't eat them and it was a mistake. But when the manager rang us up, we saw they were on the bill. My boyfriend said "excuse me" to get his attention and the manager was too engulfed in some YouTube video to take notice. So I said politely "sorry, excuse me" and he looked away from his phone finally. I explained (politely) that there was a miscommunication and we didn't order the wings. So he starts talking to our waitress in Spanish about us as she's bringing up the wings in a to go tin. And she's insisting that we ordered them and starts asking why we had to say anything to him and why didn't we just tell her (which I did). I explained to her AGAIN that there was a miscommunication and I don't want to take them to go. Meanwhile the manager is staring at his phone again. We left, and we're not going back. After all that, we ended up paying for it, but didn't leave a tip. The waitress was combative, rude, and incompetent. The manager might as well have not been there at all. The food isn't worth the trouble. read more

Really enjoyed the open faced hot turkey sandwich. They make an awesome chicken noodle soup.

Went with my wife this past Sunday and the food was very good and service was good. I ordered the shrimp fra diavolo special (comes with soup or salad and dessert). I order angel hair pasta to but the chef misread the ticket and made it with Spaghetti, I accepted it and it was a great combo, the flavors were perfect. I ordered the rice pudding for dessert (I am a fan and particular about my rice pudding), the rice pudding was one of the best I have ever had. I would definitely go back. read more
