It's a pretty mediocre diner. The foods are ok and they are kind of expensive for such a small diner. The foods are generally unhealthy and they have very limited vegan options

I stopped by on my way to visit my sister because I wanted a coffee and a muffin. Unfortunately, there were only corn and blueberry, neither are favorites, so I settled for apple pie. The person who greeted me when I entered also took my order, filled my order, and processed payment. The place was surprisingly empty for a Sunday morning. The dining area was clean and inviting. If you are passing by this place will do. I cannot comment on any thing besides coffee or pie, both of which were very good.

I used to love coming to the diner. Now, however, it's a nightmare. I've tried ordering from there through Uber eats multiple times by order gets accepted. And then it gets canceled less than 10 minutes later this has happened to me about five or six times. I'm not ordering late at night or even close to its closing hours no explanation or anything.

We were in the area for a conference and it was between our hotel and the conference center. We were all starving so stopped in. None of us are from the East, so a diner sounded like fun. We were seated promptly and the staff was attentive, and courteous, if not West coast nice. All was well. Bevs showed up promptly and were refreshed when needed. Than the food arrived! One of the group ordered the deluxe egg salad sandwich on rye. He reported that it was delicious and more like a chopped egg salad, with lots of lettuce, just perfect for him. I had the Greek salad with Gyro and it was huge, fresh and delicious. Included a couple of Dolmas, a favorite of mine. The last guy in our group ordered the chef salad. Oy my! It was huge and a one of a kind presentation! I am sure he wondered why I asked to take a picture of it, but I wanted to include it in my review. Take a look! I don't know why this dIner in rural Westchester doesn't get better reviews, because we all had fresh, tasty, satisfying meals in a nice restaurant. Try it for yourself!

Oddly, they don't have a website to check out the menu. They do have a Facebook page, but the "menu" link to a take-out delivery service is broken. But trust me, their menu is about as impressive as anything you'll see at a mega New Jersey or Long Island diner. They have breakfast all day plus an embarrassment of riches running the full gamut of sandwiches and burgers to salads and full blown dinner entrees. The diner is massive, with two humongous dining rooms, and I thought our service was pretty good. The server was friendly and personable, the drink refills were automatic, and the food came out pretty fast. I had zero complaints with my Western omelet. It was served piping hot, tasted great, and was a decent portion. My friends ordered a cheeseburger (a massive platter with fries and rings) and an open faced hot turkey platter that came with so many side dishes, we barely had room at our booth for everything to fit. The baked goods behind the counter and at the check-out station are very impressive, and I picked up half a dozen huge raspberry Rugelach for just eighty-eight cents apiece. As far as diners go, we had a solidly average experience here, so I'm surprised to see all of the negative posts that created a 2-star average across 66 reviews. Our visit really had no negatives at all.

So I gave this place 2 stars because the food was okay. The French toast weren't presentable. They also weren't cooked all the way through. As you can see they are crispy but still not cooked all the way. The eggs were also okay. There were areas that were wet like they weren't cooked all the way through. The sausages I had were the best thing I had, and oh! The bananas on top of my French toast. My bf has gotten sprite and it was so sugary. Luckily they changed it out but it took a while to get service. Crazy part is they are sitting all in a booth in front of us and other patrons. There was actually a complaint from another table that they waited an hour for service and their food was cold and it was bad food. I'm sorry but I won't be coming back.

    Burnt pancakes

Terrible service. We were 3 and there was 2 at another table. And service wasn't. Made the order for pancakes they came out upside down because they were burnt on the other side trying to hide it. If you're hungry go somewhere else

Located near the Valhalla train station, from what I can see this was the old train station, along with a caboose they connected. It looks a of and authentic because it is old and authentic. My favorite is the bar, although my son doesn't let us sit there as he can't see the trains pass out the window. Service has been good every time I've been. Worth making a reservation if you're coming for a high traffic time (ie: Winter Wonderland) as they can pack out. In terms of food, it's basically a diner. I typically get a burger with fries and have done well that way. I typically get the Signature burger, which is solid and comes with a lot of frizzled onions. Chicken tenders, fries and all of the basics are good too. So are the drinks, with the beer menu being decent as well. That's not why you're here though: it's a family thing, and for that it's hard to do much better.

My Almond encrusted salmon was perfectly prepared, wonderful portion, delicious champagne sauce. I asked for mash and green beans rather than rice and asparagus. Not a problem. The server was friendly, kept us in plenty of water and was very attentive. Baked stuffed clams were very good, a little peppery hot but that didn't stop me! For himself, the surf and turf, and the 8 oz filet was rare as requested, tender. Very fresh lobster tail. Very cozy inside as usual. Place was packed but not loud. Located right off the Sprain, it's in a good location and parking is decent. It looks how it sounds, both inside and out. Nice big bar, a pizza oven front and center, and of course the fireplace. Love all of the wood. Service was good however they were empty so perhaps grading on a curve there. I got the open faced steak sandwich. Pretty formidable portion with plenty of steak, however in hindsight I should've ordered it medium. Got it with bleu cheese and there was a crapton of it. Onions/mushrooms were good. No chance in hell of picking the thing up, yet very enjoyable. My son liked his chicken fingers, mostly just eating the fries as per tradition. My wife's pizza took awhile to come which was weird as they weren't bus and the pizza guy was standing around, however we went as they opened so perhaps they were waiting for the oven to heat up. We came for a post-hockey lesson lunch and this did the job well. My son generally prefers Valhalla Crossing nearby (trains, ya know) which has a similar vibe, however wouldn't mind inserting this oldie into the rotation once in awhile.

We went on Easter for brunch, which we decided to do last minute and they let us know they could squeeze us in. We sat on the screened in patio. They were massively busy, but the staff was on their toes, checking in, taking away empty plates, being very kind (even though they were clearly crazy with how busy they were). We started with the Brie stuff pretzels. They were more like pretzel sandwiches (pretzel sticks cut in half with Brie in between), but were really tasty. It was all so good, I kept forgetting to take pictures until after we had already dug in. The pretzel app came with 4 pretzel/brie sandwiches. We also got the spinach an artichoke dip. It came with a nice amount of chips (hate when they give you too few and then you're just left with gobs of dip and nothing for it). It also came with salsa and sour cream, which seemed odd, but was nice for the extra chips and also family friendly if the dip didn't appeal to kids. The dip itself was really nice, it didn't taste as rich as spinach and artichoke dips often are. I could really taste the spinach, but in a good way. Usually dips like that make me feel overly full and are so heavy, this was a refreshing take on it. We got the Dutch baby pancake, the kids Mac and cheese, the pimento cheese and ham omelet (which I got scrambled), chicken and waffles, and the hot honey chicken. Overall, the food was delicious. The flavors all had depth and were really satisfying. We came home with lots of leftovers and we were all very happy when the meal was done. We will definitely be going back.

It takes familiar dishes and presents them with a bit more care and a bit more intention. You taste that difference almost immediately. The food doesn't just satisfy; it reassures you that it was made thoughtfully. Of course, that level of care comes with a price, and you feel it. But in most cases, the quality justifies the cost. You may hesitate when ordering, but not when eating. The undeniable centerpiece is the Bulleit Burger. It's rich, balanced, and memorable in a way that lingers beyond the meal. If you're ordering from Southern Table, it feels less like an option and more like an obligation. Most of my experiences have been through takeout, which has held up well. Still, dining in offers its own appeal. The space is large and comes with an easy, welcoming energy that works well for a casual night out. Highlights: * Bulleit Burger * Elevated presentation and ingredient quality * Consistent execution across visits Lowlights: * Pricing is on the higher side
