Super clean, new hotel. Cutely decorated in a sort of modern style with clean lines, some "hip colors" (think gray neutrals with pops of orange, teal and lime green). Very good price--98 EURO per night and extremely convenient to the metro!
Rooms: very clean, efficient use of limited space. Had to laugh to myself. A few months ago, I wrote a review for the Le Meridian in Denver commenting on the size of the room and it not being exceptionally business travel-friendly. They wrote back that it was European-inspired, and this room was very similar size-wise. Was put in the room w a large pic of the Lisbon GG Bridge equivalent...it's like they didn't want me to feel homesick ;-).
Bathroom: limited space to hang things. If you need to do any hand wash in the sink, it is tough to get it dry. The half door shower means you will end up with water on the floor, even if you try not to. I am not sure why this design issue hasn't been figured out yet...it seems to plague hotels round the world. Minus one star.
Bed: beds are clean but too firm and the linens--there is the place they would really benefit from an upgrade. Very rough/scratchy. I don't expect to have 600 thread count Egyptian cotton at a hotel that is less than 100 Euro/night, but something a little bit nicer, at least for the pillows, could go along way. Minus one star
Service: super friendly and helpful. While the brand seems to cater a bit more to professionals, they offered tourist info right when I checked in. They also delivered 4 mini pastels de nata to my room as a welcome gift. Plus one star! read more
