Hotel da Baixa was by far one of the best hotel choices we made on our trip. Prior to traveling to Lisboa, I researched a ton and landed on Hotel da Baixa based on its proximity and price. We booked it for 3 nights and chose the room option that came with breakfast. The hotel was very communicative and sent us all the information we needed prior to arriving. We did schedule transportation because it was 5 of us (160 euros RT), but the same car (black Mercedes van) is available on uber for 20 euros so choose wisely. Our driver did arrive on time and got us to the hotel safely. The street where Hotel da Baixa is located on is pedestrian only so we had to get out a block away and walk to the hotel. It was raining so this wasn't fun but we managed. We arrived around 8am and check in wasn't till 3pm, so we had alot of time to burn. Luckily, they offered us breakfast and swiftly got our rooms ready well before 3pm. The hotel is centrally located so it's so convenient. We had all we needed during our stay and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The onsite restaurant was great and according to my friends, has one of the best tiramisu's they've ever had. Another highlight was our bathroom. It was huge with a beautiful large window that opened at the top. I loved our stay and would return in a heart beat!

I truly loved this hotel. We arrived at around 9:30 a.m. so no chance of getting our room. But Nabin greeted us so kindly and assured us that our bags would be safe. They offered us a free breakfast and said they would let housekeeping know we were waiting. We set off to enjoy the city for awhile, and although our room still wasn't ready at 2 p.m. (check-in is 4) Andrea offered us beverages while we waited. Almost immediately, they informed us that they had moved our luggage up to the room for us, which I thought was a really nice touch. We also had a welcome bottle of champagne chilling. The room was small, but very charming and comfortable. I've never stayed any place where I noticed how wonderful the linens smelled liked I did here. The drinks in the minibar were free for you to enjoy, and there was always a large bottle of water that we definitely drained each day. The breakfast had a fairly good variety to choose from. My husband and I especially enjoyed the smoky bacon, which almost tasted like Canadian bacon. They also had some flat cornbread rounds that were like muffin tops- delicious. The hotel is close to the Rossio train and metro station and an easy walk to many of the sights in town. More than anything, the impeccable service would bring me back to this lovely hotel.

Both my husband and I loved our stay at this hotel. It was very clean, updated and the service was great! The bathroom was a very nice size eith a walk in shower with double shower heads. Our bed was super comfy and I loved how we could open our window and look out. It was in a great area where you could walk around and see and enjoy Lisbon. Here is a couple of things to enjoy. Along the way there are many stores you can go to.

Review Highlights - Hotel da Baixa

The room was absolutely clean and beautiful, but the best part was seeing a welcome bottle of champagne chilling on our table 5.

This review is more so about the rooftop restaurant known as Lumi's. Our experience at Lumi's…read morerooftop was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I started emailing them after I made the reservation because I wanted to inquire about a cake for my friends who were celebrating their birthdays, to when we finished our meal, the staff here did not miss a beat. Our reservation was at 9pm for 5 people on our last night in Lisboa. Our flight from Tenerife South was delayed so we had to push our reservation back. I emailed them and they swiftly responded letting me know that as long as we were there before 9:30pm, we were all set to go. We arrived at 9pm and were greeted by the lovely hostess at the door. She was also my point of contact regarding the cake they were making for my friends. Unfortunately, it was raining so we could not sit outside, but the inside of the restaurant was just as cozy and quaint. Our waitress came over with a complimentary glass of champagne for the table and took our drink orders. I opted for a mocktail and my friends got the mojito and sangria (I think). Now, it was time for food and here's what we got: - spicy chicken wings (7/10) -pica-cau (7/10) -portobello mushroom burger (10/10) -roasted octopus (9/10) -oxtail croquette (7.5/10) -spicy garlic king prawn (9/10) -crispy swordfish bao (10/10-- the kitchen closed and we begged the chef to make us another one. That's how good it was) So as you can see, we made sure to try everything on the menu, for the most part. The food was amazing, the service was impeccable, and the ambience was so inviting. Also, the cake they made for my friends was so cute and we got to share it with some other patrons in the restaurant. We had such an amazing time here that I'm going to make it a mission of mine to recommend this restaurant to everyone who is visiting Lisboa. P.S: Their prices are affordable!!

Very good views and nice place we enjoyed lunch on our son 8th Birthday…read moreThe entry is tricky however once you enter the building from outside and take the tiny 3ppl capacity elevator up, you're greeted by amazing people with open arms. The Birthday boy had the duck rolls, I enjoyed my butternut squash soup with pumpkin seeds, our other son has the chicken kabobs and my husband had the wings . We all enjoyed our food and appreciated the staff for coming out with a complimentary dessert for the Birthday with spoons all around. Very happening area in Lisboa with great views so check them out
