All the people at the front desk and dedicated concierges were super friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions, tourist suggestions, and travel suggestions (useful since a train strike was in effect during my stay). The head of the housecleaning department even repaired (sewed) a pair of pants I tore on my visit-talk about going above and beyond the call of duty. The hotel offers its guests a number of freebies that are much appreciated. Besides complimentary cook to order breakfast the hotel offers 3 free walking tours around the city and in room mini bar items-such as water, soft drinks, and beer-are also complimentary. The hotel even has various snacks (cookies, snacks, some food items) offered to guests in the lobby entrance as well as a daily happy hour. One final bonus are the 17th century ruins in the downstairs lounge area. Finally, the location is excellent. Corpo Santo is about a minute walk from Pink Street, 5 minute walk from Time Out Market, and very close to a number of tourist attractions in a less densely populated area than other hotels I looked at as well as a short walk from the water. Very easy for Uber drivers to find the hotel. This was my first visit to Lisbon but if I return I will definitely stay again at Corpo Santo. Muito bom!!

The connecting room setup worked perfectly for us, plenty of space between the two rooms, and the staff had clearly thought through what families actually need, right down to the football shirts waiting for our kids on arrival. What really stood out was the spa, chromotherapy showers, a jacuzzi, and this bucket contraption that tips warm water on you when you least expect it, sounds odd but the kids were obsessed. Add in a genuinely excellent dinner at the in-house restaurant and a location that puts you right in the middle of old Lisbon, and it's easy to see why this place is so well rated. The rooms also left a lot to be desired, but we did have a semi decent view of the city. The bathroom was also very small and the shower was a bit complicated. We weren't in the room for long as we quickly changed, headed out to dinner, and by the time we came back, it was time to go to sleep for our flight the next morning. She was super nice and gave us a tour of the hotel. The spa staff... again, super friendly and welcoming. Although the hotel is near the wonderful Cascais, IHG Cascais is a wonderful destination itself.

On our second visit we ordered the special degustation menu for two people. It was priced at 69 euros per person and it was amazing and portions were large. It included five courses plus a dessert sample platter. We only ate the first four courses and then informed the server to not have the chef make the fifth course. We forced ourselves to eat desserts and they were both spectacular. The room was very large with a huge balcony and views of Lisbon. The hotel and rooms are well insulated and we never heard any noise from adjacent rooms or the hallways. A room safe large enough for a laptop and valuables was perfect. Views from the rooftop running track were stunning. The bathroom was huge with separate areas for the sinks, the shower, the toilet and the deep bathtub. The toiletries were high end products from L'Occitane. This is a true luxury hotel with service and food to match. We highly recommend this hotel!

I really enjoyed that I could open up my windows and hang out of them to get fresh air even though we didn't have a balcony or terrace. My only issue with the room was the shower head. It sprayed aggressively and in all the wrong places so the ceiling and floors were constantly covered in water. I had to manually hold the shower head to keep it in place during showers.

They have a chapel in the hotel as well which is really pretty! Really amazing pool and spa as well. They also have an indoor pool, sauna, and steam room free to use for any hotel guest. First of all, this place is HUGE. I'm talking three separate buildings, two restaurants, a coffee shop, and a pool. It's incredibly beautiful with tons of historic charm. There's two entrances so be sure to head to the one closest to the coffee shop since that's where check in is. If you enter near the restaurants, you'll have to trudge across the pool area, down a hallway, and up an elevator to find check in. Each building features slightly different accommodations with one of the buildings offering fully equipped apartments with kitchens and laundry. Since we were only here for two nights, we stayed in one of the more basic hotel rooms which featured a beautiful sitting area, VERY comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with a nice shower, and plenty of wardrobe storage. As luxurious as this place felt, it wasn't as well equipped as some of the cheaper hotels we stayed at. For example, there was a kettle but no nespresso machine so the options were instant coffee or tea. Our windows looked directly into the patio of the restaurant and there were no privacy blinds, just heavy shutters that blocked out all the light. There was no mini fridge, ice bucket, or wine key. We had to ask concierge for ice which they supplied for us in a trash bag (we were just using it to chill a bottle of wine) and the wine key was provided as well but had to be delivered to our room. Directions to get to our room were vague and incorrect. We were told our room was 306 and to go to the building in which it was located. I asked if we took the elevator up to floor 3 and the man at the desk said yes. However, floor 3 was actually just a mechanical closet. Super confusing. One of the guests ended up pointing us down a hallway from the first floor, which led us to an unmarked door which eventually took us down another hallway and then to our room. More signage would really have been helpful!

I stayed in the one bedroom apartment and it was quite nice, clean, beautiful and spacious. The surrounding area was quiet (bonus) and I couldn't recommend this place anymore. You do have to pay for daily room service if you stay less than a week, but it's all good and still worth it. Having a kitchen, washer and dryer and balcony well make up for it. Enjoy your stay!
