Lovely hotel. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at their hotel. We had a drink at their outside bar while we waited to check in. Our room was spacious, pristine and lovely amenities. The concierge helped us find a place to listen to Fado music. The bellman hailed us a cab and fun was had. I'd return in a heartbeat.

Loved this hotel. Stayed here 2 days before a Viking Douro River cruise. Although it wasn't in a great looking area, more "new" buildings around here. Clean, comfortable bed, enough room. Didn't like that stairs only unlock for fires. We were on floor 4 and would have walked up and down for exercise, but no. They had 3 restaurants , and the one in back served the greatest breakfast. Doorman in top hat out front. Very fancy!

Bathroom. Notice the glass door? Hubby took a shower, and of course water got all over the floor! There is a huge shower head too, above.

We're staying here, during our two nights in Lisbon. Customer service was great. Our bags were delivered to our room, very quickly on our arrival. Everything was very clean, as we entered our room. Our room have many outlets to charge our electronics, and my Power Wash! They have a nice restaurant. The staff very helpful. They speak English! We have a nice view and very quiet (as I type this, no one's awake or moving outside), room. Sometimes, we could hear people talking outside, I'm not sure, if it's coming from next door or hallway. Update: There are two floor night-lights, but during the night, the night-light to the bathroom works, but the one under the sink is completely off, and there's no light inside the bathroom. If you closed the door (trying to be as quiet as a mouse, while your hubby is asleep, it's pitch dark inside. So be warned! Bring your phone, and I did, to use that light to find the door). There are no power to the restroom, if pressed from your bed. We found this the hard way! Update2: The shower glass was too narrow, when taking a shower, water got all over the bath rug. The restroom, smells like sewer water, I wonder like in Norway. Update3: The breakfast was impressive, I just gave them a new star a total of 5 stars.

Breakfast with live pianist at their restaurant.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Friendly service, meticulous housekeeping. Food is excellent. They have a few restaurants located at their lobby. Affordable spa, free use of their gym. English speaking staff.

The hotel is really very well done. It's what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. My only complaint is that the location is more suited for business travelers than tourists so you really don't have a lot of choices for restaurants and shopping within a 10 minute walk. There are a lot of medical/hospital related businesses in the area but it is only 3 minutes from the metro and train station. Tip, get the 24/48 hour metro passes, you'll need them. The hotel has a doorman complete with uniform although in 4 days I think I saw him open the door twice. Not sure what purpose he serves other than ornamental. But the lobby is exquisite and typical of a 5 star hotel. The room was also beautiful and had the only real king size bed we found in 2 weeks of travel! It wasn't the typical 2 beds pushed together to make a king complete with the gap down the center which can be dangerous in the middle of the night. They also have a hidden coffee and pastry section towards the back of the first floor which I didn't discover till the last day. Free coffee and pastries. Wish I had known earlier! While the hotel is gorgeous, I felt like the staff was just a little bit disinterested or stuffy. They all spoke great English but they made me feel like I was bothering them. But I can overlook that. Liked the hotel but would not choose to stay here again since it's a bit out of the way. Although, it's a short cab ride (8 euro) to the airport for your departure!

Everything about this hotel was positive from the nicely furnished room with super comfortable bed, to the amenities-including the chromotherapy shower-to the fantastic breakfast, and mostly the service. All the people at the front desk and dedicated concierges were super friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions, tourist suggestions, and travel suggestions (useful since a train strike was in effect during my stay). The head of the housecleaning department even repaired (sewed) a pair of pants I tore on my visit-talk about going above and beyond the call of duty. The hotel offers its guests a number of freebies that are much appreciated. Besides complimentary cook to order breakfast the hotel offers 3 free walking tours around the city and in room mini bar items-such as water, soft drinks, and beer-are also complimentary. The hotel even has various snacks (cookies, snacks, some food items) offered to guests in the lobby entrance as well as a daily happy hour. One final bonus are the 17th century ruins in the downstairs lounge area. Finally, the location is excellent. Corpo Santo is about a minute walk from Pink Street, 5 minute walk from Time Out Market, and very close to a number of tourist attractions in a less densely populated area than other hotels I looked at as well as a short walk from the water. Very easy for Uber drivers to find the hotel. This was my first visit to Lisbon but if I return I will definitely stay again at Corpo Santo. Muito bom!!

Pros and cons with luxury hotels- there's no loud and gaudy signs to alert itself; just a small subtle golden sign outside. Hahaha! The hotel blends so well with the area around it that it was honestly hard to find the hotel. We went around the square like 3 times; even the locals and the workers working around the area weren't sure where it was despite showing them the address. Nonetheless, I truly appreciate it when designers respect the surrounding areas and try to maintain the original parts and history of the place; choosing to inconspicuously blend instead of obnoxiously standing out. Walking into this beautiful hotel is like walking into a museum. I love the old things they choose to display and showcase. I commend the designers who try to mantain the beauty of old buildings and incorporate to meld history instead of choosing to modernize things. Our stay here was literally and figuratively on a whole 'nother level. Our room was in one of their mezzanine rooms- so it felt like we were in like a mini townhouse since it was a 2 level room. One is greeted with a small foyer and then stairs that lead to the bathroom and then the topmost landing to the sleeping area. We loved how it felt like we weren't in a hotel. Upon the arrival to our bedroom, we were greeted with a nice amuse-bouche of Lisbon's quintessential dessert, pastel de nata and a souvenir of the iconic azulejos. The attention to detail is apparent in every corner. While the impeccable accommodations were stellar, there was some thing that made our stay inhospitable. Unfortunately, the people in the front desk left quite an unpalatable impression on us. Most would consider it wise to put a friendlier face at the front end of such an establishment. A welcoming face and an affable and understanding demeanor to weary and confused travelers would be a wonderful warm welcome!! However, this was not the case. The front desk people need some refresher course on their pleasantries and welcoming skills. Good thing this was not the first hotel we stayed upon arriving to the country!! We immediately wished that we had gone back to The Lumiares Hotel & Spa in Barrio Alto. Despite that place being busy and at the center of Barrio Alto, the staff there truly were hospitable and engaging; night and day difference compared to this one. I understand that the hotel could be busy but there's a difference with attentive staff on busy hours and just plain aloof. There were 2 gentleman and a lady who were in their desks. I observed all 3 of them sitting coldly in there while they were ent about their routine. There was another elderly couple standing with us when we were waiting for our turn to get checked in, and the guy on the other desk just sat there while his other colleagues were going about their work. Let's give him the benefit of a doubt... He could be busy or maybe not able to check any of us in, but one could argue that it's still not hard to provide some friendly support or maybe asked the other guests if there was anything that he could help with while we stand there. I mean offer the poor lady with a cane a chair perhaps while her poor husband was trying to coral their luggage's, the guy could've called a bellhop to help them. Regardless, the lady who checked us in was business as usual; all cold and quite unwelcoming that she couldn't even be bothered to try and work up a mere smile so she could appear acutely affable. After all, you are in the hospitality business and the face of the establishment being situated in the front. Thankfully, interacting with the front desk was a short one. Despite all that, I hate to highlight that debacle because the rest of the staff were wonderful! They were welcoming and friendly. Whenever we had our breakfasts, we were always pleasantly greeted. The servers and the kitchen staff were attentive. Despite being busy, they took their time to answer and explain some of our questions and sincerely asked us about our stay. Our server was delightful & genuinely curious about our trip and was kind to give us ideas and suggestions. We heard her have the same pleasant interactions with the other guests and impressively in other languages. Overall, besides our front desk fiasco, we still enjoyed our stay here. Fortunately, our interactions with the rest of the staff thankfully overshadowed the unpalatable experience we had with the front. Shout out to the security, our bellhop and the servers at breakfast.
