It is in a quiet neighborhood with eating places and small bodegas close by. Check in/out: We had no issues with Checking in/out. There is a keypad entry code that is emailed to you. One for the main door and one for the room. There is a phone to use at the main door to contact someone in case you have an issue. Rooms: Our apartment was 2 levels. The master bedroom/bathroom was upstairs - huge space! Lots of closet space as well. There is a very small safe provided but was not used. Hardwood floors. The second bedroom/bathroom/kitchen located on main floor. Living room also has a sofa bed. Full kitchen provided along with washer/dryer (we didn't use them). Prices/other amenities There were glass bottles of water in the refrigerator and also on the table, as well as small snacks. We weren't sire if these were complimentary or if there was a fee. Hopefully the hosts can indicate this for future guests. We didn't touch any of it for fear of being charged a crazy amount as is the case in many hotels. Considering this was a last minute booking, the pricing was decent. Air conditioning provided in all rooms and worked great. If you drive, it is best to find a parking garage if you don't plan on driving around lisbon. We parked our SUV at Hotel Real Parque underground garage which was located on the same block as this apartment. Within 5-10 min walk to train station. Overall, our stay here was great. Most likely we would stay here again if we visited.

They said they were glad they had been able to offer us an upgrade to solve our handicap access problem before they knew, and wished they could also give us points. They will be excellent representatives of this hotel group. Lovely twin "fainting lounges" in our room, and such a comfortable pillow that I will miss it dearly when I leave. They were extremely anxious to accommodate our scooter, and brought out a large ramp to be used at the restaurant. Wifi adequate, but one phone will not hook up, so we are limited to our pads, but that is a small problem. I don't have the engineering degree necessary to operate the eight nozzle shower, but managed to get clean anyway. They also provided a tub seat and shower chair for our needs. Quiet area of the city, and the windows are functional, so we can get fresh, though humid, air. If you want to shop, you will need to take a taxi, but it will only cost 5-6 €. And our taxi driver even lifted and stored out scooter for the trip.

Bathrooms are spacious (and I love the verbena scented shampoo/lotion/soap), and beds are very comfortable. Mini-bar is not particularly well stocked for food, but room service was decent (ordered the smoked salmon/smoked whitefish salad). Free wifi was available in public areas and in the rooms, although you have to log back in all the time. Business center is sparse but has free access to computers and printer. Right next door to the Four Seasons and across from a nice park. Pretty convenient to the airport. They wouldn't let me check in before 2 pm when I landed off a red eye, but were otherwise helpful. Had a bit of a nightmare of a time trying to cancel a double booking made through Hotels.com, but it eventually got sorted out. I'd stay here again!

(Stu, "The Hangover") On the southern side of Praça do Comércio square sits the picturesque Cais das Colunas pier, a popular gathering spot in Lisbon and gateway to the city from the Tagus River. Historically this area served as a welcome point for royalty and other dignitaries arriving by boat. Queen Elizabeth II herself graced Lisbon with her presence in 1957, entering the city through the pier's two iconic columns. God save the queen! Cais das Calunas is now popular for people watching, lounging by the river, and enjoying street entertainment in the square. If you need a rest from Lisbon's crazy hills and steps, there are seats built into the walls of the promenade, and a small sandy beach area where wild (sand sculpture) animals hang out. On these marble steps, heads of state would disembark from their ships to enter Portugal. Picture Isabel II after sailing from England to visit their Portuguese allies. The area was rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake and then removed in 1997 due to expansion of the nearby metro, then replaced in 2008. The view of the harbor, the Christ statue in Almada and even the 25 de Abril Bridge make for an impressive view. There is some seating along the wall. The hotel breakfast is great. It has a lot of choices. You can look out your window to check if the palace already open to guess in the morning. So you will be the few first entry to the palace. I think this is ideal location to stay a night and visit the palace next morning.

Well presented breakfast buffet from 7:00-10:30, so don't sleep too late. It was the same every day, see photos. Lisbon is fine place, except for the sidewalks made of many small stones. In the older areas, many have come loose and time and roots have distorted the surface - it's harder to walk in many parts of the city than anywhere else in Europe that I've seen. The good news is that if you like to walk, this newer neighborhood is as good as it gets here. Upon check-in, I was lucky enough to get a room with a full size bed. My travel companion got two twins. The beds were somewhat comfortable. There were two liquid soap dispensers in the bathroom. So be sure to bring your own soap/shampoo/conditioner. The bathroom was small. When I sat on the toilet, my right knee would have to be wedged under the sink countertop to make room. There was a decent and free breakfast buffet. The staff was polite. The area surrounding the hotel had several little restaurants and cafes. However, to go to any notable restaurants, landmarks, or shopping, you would need to take a cab or metro. Luckily, the metro station is close by, simple, and very affordable. I would be happy paying $60 a night here, even $80. However, I was charged $140. Next time, I'll spend more and stay closer to an area that offers more to do. Unfortunately, hotels seem to be at a premium right now.
