While this review started out as a one star review (do not let that scare you.. please read the full review), I was very quick to change it due to how the owner Alex handled my concerns. First off let me start with saying that booking Yota Moving was very easy to do. Aneeta in their sales department was absolutely lovely to work with. She addressed all of my questions and made me feel like they would help me figure out everything as I was not sure how to dispose of my couches. While I was able to sort that situation myself, Aneeta reached out to others to see where they could have been brought to for disposal. She checked in with me to see if there was anything more that can be done. I even worked with her when I had to reschedule my move due to work obligations and she made it very simple. She made a very stressful situation a lot less stressful! On moving day, the movers arrived and were very personable and professional. However, I did run into a problem. I hired Yota Moving for a small move I had to make and while it appeared that the movers took good care of my belongings during the move, I found that the entire side of one of my pieces of furniture was scratched up during the move. After discovering the damage, I attempted to get ahold of the company to discuss my findings. I initially had a difficult time getting a hold of someone. However, after originally leaving a not so great review, the owner Alex immediately reached out to me to try and address all of my concerns. Alex was very apologetic and took full responsibility for everything, which is something that not many people are able to do. He met me the next day to haul away the damaged item and then reimbursed me for the item so I can repurchase it. I was not exactly a happy camper when I found the damage and when I was unable to speak with anyone, but Alex totally turned my moving experience around. I went from not feeling like I was being heard to feeling like a very valued customer. Alex went above and beyond to reconcile all that went wrong. He truly prides himself on customer service and that was very apparent. After speaking with Alex about how he has built his business and what he prides himself on, I would definitely hire Yota Moving despite the issues I may have experienced! read more

I spoke with Amy who was great, she asked what all Items I was moving(complete list of items which is great, other movers that I contacted only mentioned they will charge xx$/hour but none of them asked what I was moving and how long it will take). So, I hired this company to move on Saturday, September 4th 2021. I was supposed to be out of my old apartment that day by midnight. I also had things in storage that I needed to move out by midnight or they would charge me another $50 for another night. The movers were scheduled to come in the window between 3-5. They never showed up. Freaking out, I give them calls and no answers. 9pm rolls around and I get a call from the mover and he said a job took way longer than expected and could move me first thing in the morning. I was extremely disappointed and also angry I had to pay another day at my storage until. They said they would come at 10am the next day. 10am rolls around and I hear nothing. I drive to the address that is provided on Yelp, and it is only a tiny room with a desk and a couch and 2 men that do not speak English. Mind you, I've already paid the deposit. Frustrated out of my mind, I call the phone number again and again. My dad is looking up other companies at this point because clearly Yota was unreliable. Then I get a call at 11:30am saying they would be there at 12. They ended up coming, we're extremely rude and made up excuses that their phones broke and that they had to get food.. I was livid. After they moved me, they left and I noticed my entire flat screen TV was completely shattered. I called and called and no answer. I finally got ahold of the guy who booked me the move and he was extremely apologetic. The owner Alex and his team have still not reached out to me about me TV even after they said they would multiple times and I have submitted a claim form. I heart is broken. I hate this company. No one reached out to me at all. I cannot even believe this. So, now I am left with no TV. Never use this company please. They are absolutely horrific. read more

Left me stranded on moving day. Never called before the move. Texted me 2 hours after start time that my move was cancelled and left my completely stranded on moving today. Did not have a contingency plan. Made me lose a day of work and cost me insane fees because I was not able to move on time. They likely did this bc I used Groupon pricing. Yota Moving is the BEST moving company I have ever used. What sets Yota Moving apart? They do not bump walls in the house, and they use extreme caution in handling the furniture so absolutely nothing is damaged. The other pluses: they were punctual, extremely pleasant, wrapped individual pieces, and had all the proper equipment movers should have. I have made around 10 moves, both international and local, and not even the big, corporate movers I have used can compare to Yota Moving in terms of care. Prior to using Yota Moving, I simply had gotten used to dinged furniture, bumped walls, and paint on the walls needing to be retouched. Yota Moving takes their job seriously and are utter professionals. I will definitely use Yota Moving for my next move and would give them 10 stars if possible. read more

DON'T HIRE THEM! They promise you skilled workers with training and years of experience. Dariaus and Evan were stoned, didn't know what they were doing and 18 years old. My family and I had to help them move boxes and load/unload my stuff. The job that should have taken,1.5 - 2 hours max which the manager/boss agreed because there were only 20 mid-size items, a love seat and the distance. It was a pick up and deliver all on the first floor but the two workers turned it into over 3 hours.  *We tried to contact them over 7days and left messages but gave up after nobody called up back.  YotaMoving are unreliable, won't provide quality service and after your money! read more

We had Cornelius and Raphael helping us for our move. They did an outstanding job moving and fitting our stuff in a 16' truck despite our worries. Very professional in handling themselves. They were systematic and careful in packing our items, they even plastic wrapped our drawers and furniture! My wife and I booked Yota through a Groupon for our move this weekend. Before the move, coordinating the service with Lucas on the phone was very professional and thorough. They agreed to deliver to two different addresses even though we ultimately didn't need to drop off at the second address. On move day, I figured things would go smoothly, because that's what always happens when you move, right? Wrong. But the movers Yota sent, led by Phillip, took everything in stride, hustled, and helped make it all work. Best of all is that they didn't quit when our very large couch couldn't make it through our tiny angular entranceway. Instead, they hooked up some ropes, removed some doors, and were able to get the couch down off the second story balcony and down to the ground floor below. After a quick lunch break, the movers did great at making sure we were able to use every square inch of our storage unit, including the 15 foot height that was far beyond my 5'9" stature. This is why we didn't even need the second location. I really appreciate how Yota was able to maximize the value out of our storage unit, which isn't even something I asked them to do. I don't know how my husband found this company - I assumed it was from strong ratings, but I see there are some low scores here... so let's clear the air. The move team was ON TIME and showed up with a can do attitude. It was unlike any of the other negative moving experiences I've ever had before. It was great! Cornelius, Demetri and Jonathan were very courteous and worked hard throughout the duration of the job. I bet Cornelius is good at Tetris! Because he was masterful at getting items to fit into our storage unit. I also want to shout out to Willie who was the customer service rep I worked with to book the move. Knowing this and I've stated before if you keep doing this I will sue this company in civil court if you persist on with these actions! Even placing the city is considered personal information which should not be in there and my last name on the Google review was a nice touch I'll be keeping my review up here. Since you decided to put my initial which is still unprofessional but you can say your putting another side to it but the bottom line is almost every real customer on your other reviews say the same thing your movers take their sweet time to rip people off and your using people who do not speak English which should be a labor law issues because they aren't able to communicate with your customers! And the company breaks the furniture and with mine they didn't return my key fob which is all fact you can't change that! However you want to respond is your business but trying to explain something shouldn't come with you trying to justify something you weren't there for! When I asked for a call back to review the charges did you contact me, no you didn't! What did you do respond months after the fact! You seriously should not be in business at all just because you and your company have bad customer service and I'm pretty sure the reviews are people you know because everyone else would not recommend and suggest that the fees your charging are outrageous and not fair market value if you want to be technical because a move out of state is 1500 dollars with everything included and I was in state and charged about that much! And a tid bit of extra information I did not speak to any of the owners, it was a dispatcher! I didn't cuss anyone out until this company tried to charge my card that I wasn't using and which I did not authorize! I can keep going there's such a long list of how you've broken laws and keep trying to justify it and rectify things! Also this company says it can't change the start time but my child's father literally went on the phone to check and they can manipulate the start and stop time and they even took an hour long break but only took 25 minutes off and that's great customer service so even if I did cuss anyone out at that point I was frustrated and upset that this company would do this and didn't even contact me after about the situation! read more

Bad review Part 2. The moment I submitted my first review on my experience with this company the CEO Alexander sent me an email within 15 minutes apologizing for the delay on my claim (mind you I had not heard anything from them in 2 months). He assured me he would personally be the one working on my claim which would get resolved within "1 day or so", and lastly...asked if I can take down my Yelp review. I then responded to him by letting him know that I did not wish to take down my review as I did not think it was fair to do so. I've continued to follow up with him by sending multiple emails and phone calls regarding my claim and I am back to square one, getting completely ignored by this company. The audacity the owner has to only get back to me once he see's a bad review regarding his own company and then completely ignores me once I informed him I did not want to take the review down just shows the level of unprofessionalism of this company. I've NEVER had such an awful experience with a company before, 3 1/2 months later absolutely nothing has gotten resolved, I'm in my new apartment with 2 large pieces of broken furniture, I've spend an unfortunate amount of time sending countless emails. I struggled to find a company that would take on my small move that was only going less than 20 min away. The dew companies that did provide me a quote never gave me a price less than $580. I found this company on Groupon and contacted them directly. The representative was helpful and I was able to book the move for the following week. Cornelius and Alex were professional, efficient and made the process seamless. My items were delivered intact and they were kind enough to ask where I preferred the furniture in the apartment. Cornelius went above and beyond when it came time to settle the balance (it looked different than we both expected), he tracked down the right person to talk to and we were able to correct it. I don't plan on moving anytime soon but if I do or come across someone that needs a moving company, I will absolutely recommend them! read more

He and another gentleman showed up 15 min early, took a survey of what we needed moved and got right to it. They loaded everything very quickly and even helped me move a few pieces downstairs to the alley for some buyers to pick up! So helpful, even putting things in place at the new place. Philip made sure that my sons loft bed was taken apart and put together again. And believe me that was no easy task! This is for Excel (Yoda) Movers. I found them on Groupon. When I called to get details and a quote they were friendly, professional, and very helpful. I needed packing and dissembly only and not moving. They gave me a quote for the packing services $109 hr. The movers Diego & Dillon were great! Very professional, polite, and efficient. They got so much completed in the 3hr time. I have a lot of stuff so I'll be having them back to finish the rest of my home. Dillion & Diego were really great! The only issue I had was that the arrival was over 4 hrs past the 8- 9 am window that was given during my reservation and management didn't have a response the 2 times I called to see what was happening. However once they arrived the work was amazing. I had been trying to pack on my own for a year and could never get any significant amount done on my own due to my disability and they helped me finally see progress and have hope that i'd be able to move successful.
