My attempts to speak with them about it have not been successful. So I offer only this: according to the US DOT website, they are currently operating without insurance and are not authorized for the out-of-state move they took my deposit for. You can verify this by going to the USDOT website and entering the USDOT number listed on the bottom of Esteemed Movers website. (I've attached the screenshots from 3/29/22.) My guess is that while they are great movers, someone in the office is overwhelmed and not taking care of the business side of things. (And yes, Sharon, you are correct. You don't have a Dee M. on your books because I use a nickname here on Yelp and I booked in my legal name.)

After contacting Esteemed (or lack there of) movers to start a moving claim they began to ignore us. Like I said we moved in October, it is currently the end of June and I am still waiting to hear from them after multiple attempts to contact them to be reimbursed. Other issues: They showed up to start packing at 9am and didn't finish until 2am. Boxes where mislabled/not labeled at all. They had to pack items in the morning because they where thrown in a pile in our garage. Our toilet plunger was packed in my weber grill with our egg container.

It took them 7 hours to move everything. I went with this company because a friend had a great experience, the company completely packed everything for them and moved everything. They paid around the same amount I paid even though I had packed everything myself and the movers had less work to do. Also 2 of the movers wanted to know if I rented or owned the home and how much we paid monthly for the place. I found this very unprofessional and don't understand why they needed to know these things. It seems since they are paid hourly they want to take advantage of the situation.

I found myself in an unfortunate/embarrassing situation where I had a very short amount of time to pack up my place and find movers. They were able to fit me in on really short notice. They arrived on time and were really kind despite the awkward situation. They worked really fast! They ended up moving my stuff from an apartment to a storage unit to a house. The cost estimate was accurate, and unlike my previous experience (9 other moving companies!) they didn't try to over charge me. I had one company where the movers took an hour lunch in the middle of moving me, which they charged me for! Anyways, all of my furniture arrived at my house undamaged- (as I previously stated I had a very short time to pack, they were so considerate, they even packed up things that I had forgotten!). When I hired them to move me into my house they were kind enough to put my bed frame and mattress together. Considering my situation, they made my moves pretty stress free. Dillon was great at communicating with me. Also, I always tip movers, but this is the first company where no one even mentioned tips, I didn't feel pressured or obligated to tip, which was really nice. I hope I don't have to move again, but if I do, I'm 100% using Nice Guy Movers. I literally have nothing but good things to say about them! 10/10 would use again!

I thought my previous movers were bad, but these guys proved me wrong. Not professional Some of my furniture was not wrapped properly. A few items only had plastic on them, some had blankets, and one dresser was wrapped only on one side while the other side was completely exposed. Now I have scratches and small damages that I need to fix myself. Not friendly The main mover was nice, but the helper was not friendly at all. He never even said hello. When I asked him to be careful with my furniture, he just looked at me and kept walking without saying anything. I found this company on Yelp because of the good reviews. They were also the cheapest out of the companies I checked. Now I understand why. The service did not feel professional, and the truck looked old. My last moving company worked faster and parking was easier because they had a lift gate on the truck. These guys only had a long ramp, which I think made the move take longer and cost more. What also made me uncomfortable was that they asked me for a review during the move and offered me a deal for it. I didn't want to say anything at the time because I was already unhappy and did not want any problems or escalation with the movers while they still had all of my furniture. At the end of the day, I guess you get what you pay for.
