Evolution movers rock! This was by far one of the best moves we've ever made out of 20 or so over the past 40 years. They showed up a few minutes early which was a pleasant surprise. Here is your warning and please take this seriously, the guys were very nice, but....their main interest was getting the job done as quickly as possible at your expense so they could get the hell home! It did not matter to them whether they put bathroom items in office boxes, bedroom items in kitchen boxes,, they literally just were throwing things in boxes. The most unorganized moving company we have ever used and we have moved 8 times to homes and 7 times to apartments in 18 years! We tipped them very well the first day they came to pack, unaware of what they were doing as we had a 2 story home, my husband was there and I was handling the new home preparations. It took me 2 months to unpack the mess! It has NEVER taken me more than 2 weeks to unpack and settle into a new home! The guy in charge on the new home side came to me, and asked me where an unlabeled box went, they had packed it and not even put anything on it referring to contents!!! I WARN you do not even bother to contact them! They talk a good game but they are not who they claim, I told the young man Cameron I wanted the additional insurance bc we have a lot of valuable antiques, of course it is my word against his and he claimed once the move had started he couldn't add the insurance, I call crap on that! They hadn't even moved a piece of furniture!! I had a video of our home and the mess they left us in after they left, but I guess I can't upload that, just trust me when I tell you it was overwhelmingly depressing! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER! This review is a little late but needed to be written. I used these guys at the end of July. Since it's been longer then I would have liked I can't remember the guys names, maybe one was Ryan. I can however remember how awesome of a job they did. They called and asked to come earlier since they finished up with the first stop faster and once they arrived came in and loaded everything up quickly and efficiently. We actually had not had a chance to breakdown our bed since they came earlier but that was not a problem, they helped us out by breaking it down and they even set it back up when they delivered everything to the new house. The biggest thing here is they still finished in less time then quoted. I highly recommend this company and am so sad I can't remember the guys names. If I could, I would give them 6 stars but I can't. What I can do is tell you what an amazing job they did. Ryan, Matt and Mason are a great bunch of guys. They came ready to work and let me tell you they NEVER stop. These guys move quickly and carefully. They are professional and funny and it really feels like your friends are moving your stuff minus the grouchiness and constant nagging for more beer. They wrap your stuff tightly and with care. All men were polite and Matt is about the happiest fella singing while he works and smiling. He yells out loud lots of hilarious things to his partners. Moving isn't very cheap but these guys were reasonably priced and did a most excellent job. If I have to move again, and I don't see that in the future, I would call them again. We would give negative stars if possible. Many furniture items were not wrapped, and even those that were wrapped sustained significant damage. We had our furniture stored for almost three months, so we weren't aware of the damage until we moved to our permanent home. The move was expensive, from San Antonio to Dallas, and on top of that, we had significant furniture damage, especially to pieces that were antiques and not easily repaired or replaced. Companies like to claim they are the best, but this one was a nightmare for us. Since we didn't discover damages until a few months later, when moving out of storage, I guess we are stuck with what we got. I fell for the 5 star reviews. Don't do the same. read more

I am very sad to have to write this rating because we had them move us three years ago and were impressed with the service, although I swear there was a box missing, they assured me they had protocols in place to prevent this. 5 months ago we had them put everything in storage while we build a new home, as we sold our previous one before we expected to. Now, moving everything they stored for us into another home (not the new build), they've LOST the bed frame to my son's bed. How do you lose something you stored for us? They brought us a frame; it was the wrong one. So...someone else is missing theirs as well. There is a 5-6 inch gap between the mattress and headboard. The bed is wobbly. This is an Ashley Signature Series bed that is 4 years old. They don't wobble, and they don't have a wide gap between the mattress and headboard! It also costs $450.00 plus to replace it since they don't make this series anymore. They brought us the wrong frame 2 days ago. Seems they don't care enough to resolve this, even when I've told them I will report them if they don't. In the meantime, my son, who is autistic by the way, can't sleep in his bed! Evolution's foul up this time makes me suspicious of that missing box from the first move. They lost it, and didn't want to admit it or compensate me. My mistake in trusting them the second time. PLEASE don't make this mistake. Hire someone else. There was a HUGE dead cockroach in my son's laundry basket that wasn't there when we packed it. It got in while in their warehouse. We'd better not get an infestation, or I WILL TAKE THIS TO LITIGATION. read more

I wish I could say 4.5. The guys worked so hard. I had 6 guys and 3 trucks. everyone was extremely kind and helpful. We completed the move in about 8 hours. I could tell the guys were getting tired towards the end as most boxes just ended up in the garage. Which is ok but we have lots to take into the house still. The only other issue I had was that I specifically asked if they could put items together from storage (that were taken apart by another company in a previous move) and was told yes when I was choosing which company to move with but the main mover said he was unable to put things together that were taken apart already. So that was a little frustrating to deal with especially when I asked ahead of time. Overall I would use them again. read more

The movers were very courteous. They came in strong and worked quickly the first few hours and then it slowed down for no reason. Still, they were very nice. They broke the stand to my Samsung flatscreen and told me I could get the replacement on Amazon and was immediately compensated $50 Guess what? He was wrong, the one on Amazon didn't work so I had to go to eBay and it cost a little more. Disappointed that several pieces of furniture were scratched and I'm not talking superficial scratches, I'm talking deep ones that cannot be corrected. Additionally, I lost shelves to one of my cabinets, I called the company and NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. They were in the expensive side, but I needed a company at the last minute so I was expecting it. Unfortunately we chose this company to move us on November 2021.The moving crew sent by this company were:one hard working man and two lazy guys who made sure they made the move as SLOW as possible to make the move very Expensive!!! Let me start of by lifting up the men who deserve recognition. Doc, Cameron, Nathan, and Adrian are absolutely amazing! I have moved many times in the past and my experience with Evolution Moving Company has by far been the best. They were on time, courteous, and quick to get the job done. Not only did they handle all of my belongings with the upmost care and respect, they finished hours ahead of schedule. They were so skilled and contentious when moving my home into storage that I was able to eliminate one of the units I had reserved. They managed to fit all my furniture and other belongings in like puzzle pieces in a Tetris game. I really could not believe it! They don't try to slow it down to charge you more. Their guys hoof it to finish up quickly while still taking care of your stuff. We hired Evolution Moving Company in January to move us into our new home. This review is well overdue. These young men are overly professional and cared out items as if it was their great grandmother's cherished antiques. They were on time and worked endlessly during the entire moving day. So I got several quotes for a local San Antonio move, and I chose Evolution because not only did they break down the cost/hour and fees, but they were upfront about total estimated cost. My move was scheduled for 830- I got a call about an hour beforehand letting me know they were on the way, and the deliverers arrived exactly on time. The moving process was smooth- they looked over my things, had me sign paperwork, and proceeded to pack everything up. They were professional and efficient.
