He was super patient with me for our first driving lesson! No screaming or harshly grabbing the wheel, I learned a lot.

I'm surprised by all the negative reviews here because I had a wholly positive experience with Lama…read moreDriving school. I'm not a good driver even on the local streets, and I don't get much practice on a regular basis. However, I did want to learn how to drive on the highway with the goal of eventually being able to drive myself to work. I like how you're not required to buy a package of lessons. Each highway lesson is $45 for 45 minutes. My lesson was scheduled 1.5 weeks in advance due to lack of openings. The night before, I received a text reminder. Upon arriving, I was introduced to my teacher within minutes despite the busy state of the office. My teacher Huda was very professional, yet friendly and calming. She gave me a brief overview and tips as I was driving to the highway and was extremely attentive the whole duration of the lesson. I was petrified but reassured by the fact that she was watching closely the whole time. Each time she wanted me to do something new, she always gave me advance notice and time to prepare myself mentally. I told her about my fear of not seeing a car in my blind spot before merging and she taught me to lean forward to eliminate the blind spot. Though I tried looking back over my shoulder and the car swerved slightly at one point, she was extremely calm and merely adjusted my wheel. Throughout that first lesson, she was very reassuring and offered constructive feedback. She also had me enter the highway on two different routes, and practice exiting as well. I went back for a second lesson today, and felt a lot calmer and more comfortable. The lesson went smoothly, and I feel confident enough to try driving with a friend or family member next time. I highly recommend Huda to anyone who lacks confidence. She is calm yet helpful and a great teacher.

I really like driving with Patrick. I needed a lot of hand holding as an absolute beginner and he's been so thorough, supportive, and calm. He's made driving relaxing and fun to learn for me! Drive Rite as a company is also not bad. Booking classes is easy and they check in every now and then if you need help with anything. Would def recommend!!

Back to school but with that one amazing teacher you remember--AVERY JONES is that teacher!! Growing up NYC, as we all know, have less of a priority to drive cars because of our awesome transit system, The MTA, and the like--and he made these lessons as clear and simple as possible for me. As a complete novice, Avery turned these classes I had with him into unforgettable moments and certain life lessons: -Turning every key topic into a straightforward, easy-learning analogy. -applying real-time experience to point out right and wrong ways other drivers navigate the road (if you're from the city, you know!) -Engaging and review critical points and keep notes of what you need to improve and practice on. He made our time incredibly engaging, thoughtful, and entertaining beyond all measure. I recommend this business and him--1,000,000% percent. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!"

My driving instructor, Frank Dao, is hands down the best instructor I have ever had. After going through multiple instructors at another driving school who never took the time to explain my weaknesses or how to improve, working with Frank was a game changer. He clearly explains mistakes, makes sure you understand how to correct them, and gives detailed, practical tips for everything, from mastering turns to parallel parking. Thanks to Gold Success and Frank's incredible instruction, I passed my road test, and I am truly grateful. I couldn't recommend them more!

I highly recommend Frank if you are a beginner and want a no-nonsense instructor. He is tough, but…read moreit's because he truly wants you to pass your road test. If you carefully follow and study his instructions, you will be well-prepared. I was extremely nervous throughout the process and honestly did not think I would pass but I did, all thanks to Frank (especially after failing my first road test 10 years ago). The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because my first assigned instructor was very unprofessional and did not take the lesson seriously. At the end of the lesson, he even asked if he could call me, which felt inappropriate and left me with nothing learned. I contacted the receptionist, explained the situation, and asked to be reassigned, which is when I was paired with Frank. While I was grateful for the switch, I do feel the school should have provided me with a makeup lesson since my first one was a complete waste of time. That said, I'm very glad that with only 4 lessons, I was able to absorb enough from Frank to pass my test. I do believe that if I had been given a proper makeup lesson with him, I might have finished with fewer points deducted.
