Tonight was the last night of the drive in, it's for the best. Their prices online were several dollars more expensive than the items on the menu they give out. The food was mediocre at best. The first movie went well, they did a Q&A with Anthony Michael Hall and then started the second film. ALL of the employees disappeared. They told us that we could leave when we wanted to just let them know but they were all gone? People were all trying to leave partially through the last movie with no one to guide them. Several people leaving at once caused a little chaos. It was an absolute nightmare trying to leave with how closely everyone was packed in. The screen was tiny and hard to see, the radio station you tuned into was static-y and very hard to hear. Was very much not worth the money spent. read more

I'll say this - if you have kids/teens, this is the place. It's like an Alamo Draft House but for the entire family. You can come out here, watch a movie, bowl, and play video games with the family (all while you get your drank on while the family has fun). It's pretty modern and their food is decent. Their beer and spirit selections are pretty good and they keep the place pretty clean. Of all the places to let your kids/teens hang out, this place is probably one of the better ones as there's plenty for them to do and keeping them entertained. read more

Disappointment! About a third of the games are broken. Many would take credits off and not work, resulting in standing in a line to get those credits back. (At least they gave credits back.) Also resulted in lines for games that did work. read more

Great spot for a Saturday of entertainment and taking the kids out with their friends. They have so much fun and always ask to go back. There are so many options which include stand-up arcade games, bowling, air hockey, movies, and some pretty tasty food. It is bar food but the kids love. The staff is always friendly and helpful and I do appreciate the credits they give you after you sign up for their rewards program which definitely adds up if you take the family. The theaters are a little bit on the small side but it does create more of an intimate setting if you are looking to plan a birthday party or get a group of ten together that everyone can enjoy together in a small theater. the bowling is a little bit more organized and you can get a specific bowling ball size and weight which is really good for kids and keeps the balls in better shape than your typical stock bowling balls full of notches and holes at typical bowling alley. I would definitely recommend the pizza and the kids love it. In general I think this is a great business and as a parent I am very happy that my kids get to have such an experience. read more

This is a review of the experience created by the patrons and less on the facilities. Is this near a Ghetto? What a waste of good theatre technology on ungrateful disrespectful patrons. I'm sure when this facility was built, it was amazing but it's overrun by disorderly customers. Second time to visit and everyone is talking during the movie again! Avengers Endgame was ruined and now Lion King. I've never been in a theatre where people just keep talking, loudly. Like long conversations. Complained to management and they sent two employees armed with sweeping pans to stand there for a few minutes. Didn't change until police and managers got involved. The fact that it happened on both visits is enough for us. Even though management and staff did all they could we will never go back. I really feel bad for the owners and staff. They intervened well but what a rough crowd. We left the early in fear of a cartel fight breaking out. read more

Only complaint would be that the rows in the theater was very crammed, but it was a packed movie so I kinda get it. Just left this place tonight after a movie. If you want to watch a movie with a bunch of loud people who love to take phone calls and allow their kids to run around as well as children and adults kicking your seat, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. Absolute worst experience. I get a few people talk or an accidental seat kick but the entire movie? Come on people. Have some class people!! Want food? Eat BEFORE going here for $10 - $9 you get the shittiest food ever Let's just say this was a once in a lifetime experience I'll never do again. I'll be going back to either iPic Theater or Alamo Draft house, where the people actually have respect and class. I was very disappointed on how they handled the bowling. I don't mind paying for the hour, but it should be an hour of actual bowling, not trying to find a bowling ball, getting shoes fitted right and ordering food. The hour should be started right when you hit agree to the rules, not right after you pay. By the time we got the kids in the shoes and situated we had lost 7 min of actual bowling time and unfortunately we weren't able to finish our game before the time ran out. If we had our extra 7 minutes we would of finished the game. I like the rest of the place and the food was good, just very disappointed by the bowling. read more

I came here on a Friday for some entertainment after work. Me and my spouse came to bowl, eat, and drink some adult alcoholic beverages. Unfortunately, showing up at 9:45pm, some services were closed like bowling. The girl with the short hair (working the bowling desk on 1/20/2023), claimed her manager shut down half the bowling lanes and closed further openings for the night because "there was only 2 people working the bowling alley and they didn't want to leave two people to clean the bowling lanes alone". I almost cried for the two females working this night because I felt bad they applied for a job but then didn't want to work. My condolences, ladies :(. This has to be the worst millennial excuse for laziness I've heard of. It's Friday. It's a busy time. Either do your job that you applied to do, or staff more workers to help the current lazy ones that are scheduled for a Friday night. Now my spouse is upset. We came for a family date night on Valentine's Day, which happened to be on $5 Tuesday. We were most excited about the $5 movie tickets! So while we waited for our movie to start we decided to play some arcade games. I was a bit disappointed to see there was no $5 game card for unlimited play as mentioned in a prior review. But we continued to spend $20 on some games for our son. There wasn't much for games, it felt pretty small but we had a lot of fun with the Walking Dead shooting game. We spent the majority of the game cards on it. Next we went to eat at their restaurant, ordered a grilled chicken meal, a cheddar BBQ burger and a kids pizza. We waited about 30 min before finding out they didn't put our whole order in to the kitchen. So the only thing that came out was the chicken. They apologized for the wait but there was no way we could wait longer for our food to come out, we still had a movie to see. So luckily they gave us the chicken meal for free. Which didn't taste bad, but it wasn't anything special - at least it was free right?! Onto the movies, the theatre was of good size, seats don't recline, but were pretty good for movie theatre seats. Since we couldn't get food from the restaurant, my SO stood in line to get pizza while we went in to the movie. It was a ridiculous wait even for the pizza, about 20 min?! Because of this they gave him a free pizza slice but my question is why is service so shitty here?! If it was an option I would give them 0 stars for how crappy our family date was turning out. But since the staff was understanding and sympathetic to these delays, I gave them a couple stars, plus the pizza was pretty good. read more

Been here many times. I've only bowled, eaten at the restaurant, and played in the arcade. This last time I took my daughter to see a movie. The bowling alley bumpers are always broken, the food in the restaurant is just ok, the arcade games are sparse and there isn't much to do. This time in the movie my daughter's seat was torn up and she refused to sit in it. I wouldn't want to sit in it either. The seats aren't comfortable to begin with and to have to sit in one that's ripped up is unacceptable. While the movie for a matinee was cheap, it totally sucks. I'd rather spend more and go somewhere like Alamo. Lesson learned. read more

This is my first trip out to Evo. I pass it a lot on my way to Texas State.. but never stopped. Today I took my kid to see Beauty and the Beast, and tickets were $5. You really can't beat those prices, these days so I was stoked. We grabbed food from the in house restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised the kids meal was large enough for me and my kid to split! And the pizza wasn't half bad. Also got some chips and queso.. which was kinda meh.. but not expensive so that's okay by me. After the movie, my kiddo played some games, and ran amuck. She seemed to enjoy herself. Overall, nice that places like this exist. It's probably not the absolutist best in regards to quality, but better than not having any kiddo themed things close to town. read more

Most of the arcade games are broken but still eat up the tokens on the card. There isn't enough staff to assist with the games. The bowling lanes are lumpy, are all dented up and have a sway to them causing the balls to lose their intended trajectory. Also, the bowling ball selection is weak. This place is pretty beat especially compared to Pinstack which I will gladly commute to after experiencing this dud. read more

Went to watch the 7pm showing of Godzilla vs Kong tonight in their EVX theatre. Bought my tickets online last Monday when they went on sale. When I showed up there was a family already in my seats. I told him I think your in my seats, to which he showed me his email confirmation that had my exact seat numbers!! We both went to talk to the manager and all he said to do was sit somewhere else and he would move people if he needed to. No apology, no explanation on how the seats were double booked, no compensation, nothing to accommodate the inconvenience of not being able to sit in the seats I purchased. It's almost like the manager had no idea how to handle the situation. We were so excited to get out as a family and watch a good action movie only to be soured by a technicality and poor customer service. read more

Friends and I decided to head out to Evo for some bowling. Getting there the lady at the desk said bowling closed at 10 but the arcade was open until 11. So we decided to do some games instead, no big deal. So I personally got a $40 game card. They each got their own as well. Thinking we had an hour or so we started playing games. 10:30 comes and they turned off the games. It was a rip off. Half of the games were "under construction" or had something wrong with them. The overall cleanliness was gross. There was food everywhere on the floor and one of the games had a crumpled up receipt stuck the the handle, yuck. Don't waste your time I have money left over on my card as we weren't given enough time, and don't even really want to go back to use it. read more

I would not come back here to see a movie. We went to see a movie at 8:35 on a Friday night and we were very disappointed. Even though you choose your seats online before you go to the theater, the seats are just like the old school movie theater seats-no recliners. Additionally, your chance of getting food from the restaurant to take into the movie is near impossible. No servers offered to help us and it was pure chaos. This place seems great if you are 15 with $40 and a couple of friends, but if you are looking for a good movie going experience for a date-avoid at all costs. Just go to Alamo! read more

Now that I live down the street from here it has become my "go to" spot for movies. On Tuesday's it is just $5 per ticket. That price can't be beat! Actually, Cinemark at Southpark Meadows does a $5 Tuesday's as well, which I used to go to since that was right next to my old apartment. However, their theaters are so small and crammed. Going the extra 2miles down to EVO is way worth it. The seats are more comfortable, the screen is bigger, and their are more seat availability. I have not used the arcade or gotten food at this location, but will be going to the EVO in San Marcos soon to try their food. I wish that the Kyle location could serve food in the theater, that would be my only complaint. I splurge every now and then for an Alamo showing if it is a movie I really want to "experience", but for a Tuesday date night with the husband, this is a great cheap option. read more
