i was at evo the other day trying to watch a movie on my day off and this one employee named arnold was talking to me like i was stupid and was being very rude and inconsiderate and when i was leaving the movie theater this other employee i think his name was leo?? was giving me nasty looks and was just not doing his job i saw multiple people go up him and ask him simple questions and he just ignored them trying to act like he was busy the entire time i saw him. evo do better with who you hire. i am truly disappointed. read more

This movie theatre is AWFUL. The seats are the worst seats I've ever experienced. After 2 minutes of sitting in them I immediately refunded my tickets and we left . They aren't recliners and they feel like they're broken. We even tried different seats and they all suck and oddly rock back and forth. Never going back. Only reason I picked EVO was because the one in dripping springs has great recliner seats. Never going back would not recommend! read more

So sad that this well known family entertainment facility is so dirty!' Specially now after the world is semi back to normal from surviving a pandemic. The floors in the dining area were so sticky probably haven't been mopped in weeks. Tables sticky mess too we had to use our own hand sanitizer to clean our table. A guy in the kitchen picking his nose an on his cell phone the entire time we sat around waiting on food. Underneath the storage racks near the restroom filthy mess hasn't been swept in who knows how long, it's not even hard to miss just coming out of the restroom you can see it. The good is poor quality and very expensive. !! You all need a good manager that truly cares about the cleanliness of this place. read more

We rented 2 lanes from 1:30 to 3. We arrived at 1:15 to get shoes etc. They apparently start the clock the second you check in. And not your allotted time to bowl. They also took my husband's credit card when we ordered drinks and never gave it back. read more

Went to go see the Black Widow movie last night here. Being a newer establishment, everything about the place is still in nice condition, like the carpeting and decor... it's got a chic, new-agey look to it. Pretty nice. They keep the A/C on pretty cold, so if you're like me and get cold easy, be sure to bring a sweatshirt! I slipped mine on right away upon entry, haha. Adult tickets were just shy of $10, which is pretty mid-range, imo. We chose not to get any concessions this time, but they appeared to have the typical fare: popcorn, sodas, candy, etc. The restrooms are a decent size, not quite big enough to accommodate a full theatre letting out at the end though, which seems a bit silly. (Mind, I always make a mid-movie dash at what seems like a boring part because I can't stand waiting 'til the end!) They were well-stocked and clean though, so that's a plus. We perused the rest of the establishment a bit after our movie ended, just to see what else was there, but didn't partake, so I can't speak to the bowling lanes or arcade much. The bowling had fun lighting late at night and there appeared to be an area to buy alcoholic beverages. The arcade itself was a bit small in selection of games, but had what you'd expect: crane machines with prizes, ticket redemption type games (and a decent selection of prizes in exchange), hoops, air hockey, and some shooters. There is an outdoor dining area with cornhole too. Massive parking lot. Maybe one day post-pandemic they'll need 'em all! read more

The bowling lanes are in sorry shape, several of them don't work and haven't for years. They are very few bowling balls and bowling is way overpriced. The drinks are too expensive at the bar and the limited menu is only fried food with a couple of salads. Not a place I'd want to spend money. read more

Movie was great. Servers have a hard time finding you doing the movie and you have to open up your phone to order which I felt rude doing. Half of the arcade games were out of service. Our bowling game messed up so many times we felt bad asking the attendant to come and fix it so many times. read more

How is this place still a movie theater. They have zero water. They do not accept cash, nor even have a cash register. This place is horrible. But it's not just this Evo. ITS ALL IF THEM. While they MIGHT have been something to be considered a theater they are no where even close to it now. They have a particular demographics and while that may be completely fine for some for ANY serious move enthusiastic it is a spit for the formal arts. Plus. They no longer deliver food to your seat but you can order it from the cashless bar and they will have it delivered to you. While this may seem like a better option it is hardly not. Why. A.J. @ Evo Entertainment in Kyle is an exceptional Manager and Customer Advocate. My favorite movie of all time- Star Wars (Episode 1) has an Anniversary showing but the only theatre that was showing it nearby was Evo (a little over an hour away). So I take the day off with my fiancee, head there at midnight on a speial showing for the movie. They had the employees dressed to the very nature of the festivities taking place. Great drinks were served as well as the food! The experience was truly phenomenal and cannot thank A.J. and the staff for being so friendly and inviting! read more

This is a great place for the whole family to spend time and engage in some entertainment. If you want to catch a movie, go bowling, shoot pool, play in the arcade, hang at the bar, eat some good food or sit outside at the drive in theater... this is the place! The manager, Daniel was extremely friendly and helpful, and actually gave us free tickets to see Joker at the same showtime. He was extremely accommodating. Just happened to be driving by and decided to try Evo out the next evening after getting more information about the venue. One plus about visiting on Tuesday were the $5.00 movie prices all day. Now certain appetizers and drinks were also being advertised at $5.00 and other price points but they wouldn't honor their advertised price. I don't see how a pandemic changes your offerings and prices you should be doing everything to drum up business and that includes honoring your advertised promotions. I also called and asked about dining and they stated that would deliver the food to your seat that didn't happen either. The nachos I ordered were completely deconstructed. People when something is ordered and paid for you execute the recipe for them completely you don't put everything on the side and expect the guest to put it together. If that is the case why did I pay for it?? Why don't your nachos come with refried beans? Quality was less than marginal! The theater and sound were great. That seemed to be the only thing that went right tonight. EVO you still got some work to do. I would take a look at how you do things! read more

BAIT AND SWITCH on the prizes!!! Upon taking my balls that I had worked diligently to get out of the claw machine, upwards of 5000 tickets worth, I was told at the ticket counter that these 2500, 500, 1000 ticket balls are actually worthless in their twisted calculation. $50 in their arcade wasted. Thank god I'm not a child so I have the mental stamina to deal with the heartbreak of a scam, but I saw a few other kids walking around with balls waiting to get their hearts broken. I will never come back to their theater or bowling either based upon their deceptive practices in the arcade. They are building a Dave and Buster's in Southpark meadows in Austin. I will take my arcade business there because they are honest, and movie business to Cinemark, complete with recliners. read more

This place is a disaster. The bowling lanes are busted. We would bowl one time, then the arm would wipe out all the pins and move on to the next player. We tried two lanes with the same result. The staff tried to be generous and give us extra time, but it was all for naught because the lanes kept failing. The staff were well-aware of the malfunction, but gave us a shoulder shrug like "What can we do?!" We tried to salvage the night with our kids at the arcade, but most of the games malfunctioned -- specifically: Pixel air hockey, PAC-MAN and The Wizard of Oz. We were here on a mildly busy Friday night. Evo's has really gone downhill and I'm sorry to say these locals won't be back. read more

This game has ticket values on the balls, but when you go to redeem them the employees said that they were worthless. At an arcade with a prize counter when you see tickets on a game you expect to be able to redeem them. Evo would not allow the redemption of validly won prizes. read more

This place has gone down hill. Last month I had a waitress who went to a guys car while I waited more than 20 Minutes to pay and was almost late to a movie. I had to get a manager to get my bill. Then she came out to confront me and my 5 year old. Last night I went and we asked for bumpers when we bowled. We were told twice they'd be up. Our very nice waitress asked and they said they'd put them up... finally they came over and said our lane doesn't do bumpers and suggested the little device to help the real little kids bowl. They said they couldn't switch us lanes because of the wait. I took this picture. These lanes were empty another 20 minutes. I spent $50 on one of the few nights I get alone with my son and it was a total bust for him. I waited tables for years and really try to be understanding. I guess evo is okay for a movie but I'll never eat dinner or bowl there again. read more

Looks great in theory so my group decided to try bowling and games. It was a huge disappointment. It seems to be a management problem and not employee related. The selection of arcade games is minimal. I'd say about 1/3 were broken or had problems, which didn't leave much. It felt like the games were chosen for aesthetic purposes only, not for the enjoyment of patrons. Got bored very quickly. For bowling, they currently only open every other lane for COVID purposes. However, this is very inconsistent with their other practices. We went June 1st. They had NO mask requirement. They were NOT wiping down arcade games. Majority of employees had NO mask on. So they are ok with hundreds of massless people touching the same 20 games, but not bowling at lanes next to each other? 2 stars because the employees, despite having to tell us inconsistent senseless rules, were very polite. read more

The theater isn't being maintained, which is a real shame. Every single seat in the theater I went into was ripped. The concession choices were gone, with only largest options left. Large popcorn (bucket) and large drink were only sizes available. Anyway, I hope they are going to renovate it soon. read more

When I first found this place I thought it was really fun and cool. Now..not so much. Dirty, overly priced for games and really cramped. The theatre is average at best. Whoever is running this place has really let it get bad. This is just my personal opinion. I hope management improves down the road.
