Regal Metropolitan is a clean and comfortable theater. I like the fact that they often host advance screenings, and I've always had positive experiences seeing the movies before being released. Tonight we saw Send Help. The lobby is nicely decorated n Art Deco theme, and the staff is friendly The reclining seats are very comfortable with soft leather, and the auditoriums are clean. Their popcorn is always fresh and not too salty.

This was my first time at this location. It was very clean with comfortable seats. The staff was helpful if I had a question. There is plenty of parking available. The only thing I didn't like was how slow the concession stand line was with only two people ordering food. Overall, my experience was good and I can see myself going back .

I am not sure what the Greek/Art Deco interior design & architectural theme is meant to be but it works. I don't know much about the history but it seems this was a rather modern theatre concept in the early days of luxury movie watching. The place is spotless from the lobby to the theatres (no garbage or leftover food in the seats), to the bathrooms. Seating is really comfortable and the sound is top quality.

The 4D experience at Regal is pretty cool!! We watched the new Mission Impossible movie in 4DX with lights, sounds and wind/air effects and the seats legit moved during the action scenes. It started out as a fun novelty but can get a bit much during a 2+ hours movie, especially when the seat makes sudden jolts and you take a few hits to the back and hip. It was also strange that there was no staff member anywhere near the theatre area, no one checked our tickets anywhere. This is an alarming safety concern, when anyone can just walk in without a ticket.

I used to love coming to this theater all the time. It's still one of the better ones in town. The seats recline and they have slide out tray tables for your food. The popcorn was yummy great, until we got the refill. It tasted like putrid butter and smelled like trash. The concession prices were crazy high as expected. But you can grab a souvenir or two while waiting in line. That you had to buy tickets at the concession stand was clever, but it means you need to plan ahead and get there early so you don't miss your film.

I was so happy to see this movie theatre back open as I was looking for movie listings. They have always kept a clean appearance inside & out and they did not let COVID effect them. I took my daughter to see boss baby 2 and the movie was great the seats were clean and our popcorn was hot with fresh butter. This movie brought excitement for when I'm able to go for my Marvel releases that I'm in great hands. The staff is also very very friendly.

Ask the Community - Regal Metropolitan

Do they have the reclining seats or is it regular old school seating?

this location just opened 5 auditoriums with luxury recliners that have a table. they just started phase 2 with updating the next 4 auditoriums to include 1 4DX auditorium!

Do they have a full bar?

Regal Cinemas generally serve beer and wine only. It's been a while since I've been to Regal Metropolitan but I'm thinking that they're no exception.

While they…read morestarted with pencil and paper ordering, they have now upgraded to scanning a QR code to order online through the menu. Very .easy and convenient! Not only do they have good food and "bottomless" popcorn bowls, they also sponsor fun preview events to their special Victory fan club members, of which I am one. Last night they previewed the movie "Power Ballad," an excellent film starring Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas. Often they have special guests to introduce the movie and offer fun contests. At the Power Ballad preview, they awarded a guitar to the first person to jump up and name the director (John Carney). I didn't win. The theater is definitely geared to film buffs and not the normal blockbuster movie goer, with posters from current and classic films decorating the walls. They even have the scary twins from "The Shining" in one of the hallways. You won't see that at any multiplex movie theater!

My relationship with Alamo has been long, like I've gone since Spike and Mike's used to do sick and twisted festival of animation events. It's my go to. It's my don't-go-to-other-theaters-out-of-loyalty spot. The last few times have been beyond subpar. I didn't want to believe it was over. Tonight, I went for Spiderman at 11:30 PM. I've been promising this to my husband as a date night. It was the one and only time we had a sitter (we have a 6 week old child and a 1.5 year old - so it's been a while since date night). Husband is service industry, and it was literally the only time we had a sitter after he was off of work. We ubered to Alamo, which cost about $13. We paid for the sitter. We get to Alamo and they're closed. We get shit happens, but let Victory members know in advance. Even a 30 minute heads up would have saved us an uber ride or allowed us time to find tickets elsewhere or have a date alternative. Nothing. The staff were apologetic, but didn't seem all that concerned about it. They told me I'd get a refund, that's it. No vouchers to another show. No voucher for food/drinks. The vouchers were sitting in front of the cashier and would have made a world of difference, but she acted indifferent and never offered them. Just a "yeah sorry, you'll get a refund in 3-5 business days". What about the refund for the time, ubers to/from, and sitter? That's where vouchers could have somewhat saved the day. It wasn't important to staff or Alamo because it wasn't their time, ubers, babysitters, or incredibly needed date night. I wasn't even a Karen about it. I tried to tell her I'm sorry she had to deal with issues at the theater and that it probably sucked for staff as much as it does customers, so I get it. Not her fault. She just acted very WHATEVER. RIP Alamo. We will not be back. This could have been fixed, but it wasn't and there was no real effort. They have my email from my Victory account, so why no heads up so we could try to catch the film elsewhere? Why no extra effort to give vouchers? Hell, if we got to the counter and were told the card on file was refunded, that tiny effort would have been something. Alamo was built for people who LOVE cinema. It had a loyal following, but everything that we loved about it is dead and gone. It's sad seeing the current "Alamo" corpse be paraded like Weekend at Bernie's. So instead, we will stream at home once it's available. We will partake in what's killing cinema because Alamo just killed it for us. Thanks but no thanks.

Her name is Gloria. Since you all don't have any assigned seating, I held our seats while my wife went to the concession stand first. When my wife came back with her items, I then proceeded to go get my concession items. As I'm walking down, I get a text from my wife saying that a concessions person came in the theater and told her she didn't pay for her items, and asked me to pay at the register. As I'm checking out, with tap mind you, my first attempt doesn't work on your scanner. I tried a second time and it goes through. I then told the cashier that I needed to pay for my wife a items as well and the cashier informed me that all items have been rang up and there weren't any missed payments. I said ok and went back to my seat. About 20 minutes later, the woman who I now know as Gloria comes into the theater raising her voice to my wife and saying that she needed to pay for food. She says this twice in a raised voice. I go down and get it taken care of. The lack of customer service skills by Gloria is beyond ridiculous. For one, communicate to your staff that someone is going to be coming down to pay, or how about this, let your customer know the transaction didn't go through before you let them walk away. It's beyond embarrassing to have someone berate you in a packed theater for ultimately a mistake on the theaters part. Side note, can you all get some other food options and teach Gloria how to handle customer service issues instead of raising her voice at patrons.

Upon arrival, I wanted to pay with my MoviePass card and so I walked to the ticketing booth and the young lady was on her phone and had an AirPod in. I scared the DAYLIGHT out of her. I felt so bad even though it wasn't my fault. Just oof. Also, it was really hard to communicate as there are issues with the glass microphone... At the concessions, I had 3 coupons from a Christmas promo. The poor guy had to enter them separately and this is where things got weird. I asked him what was closest to $5 and he said a bottled beverage. On the screen it showed $5.80 for a bottled beverage. When he rang up my Fairlife chocolate milk (I'll get to this later), it was $6.30 or $6.80. Either way, I got to use my coupons even though it took 7-10 min. My popcorn was stale and severely disappointing but whatever...it was 9am. The chocolate milk, well, I thought it was a protein shake as it did end up having 23g of protein. However, it did not use the lactose free milk and I suffered drastically during the middle of the film. That was my fault. The Coke Zero syrup was okay but I've had better. The concession area was spectacularly clean. The patron checking tickets was super diligent and wonderful at his job. I was happy to, once again, see how local Cinemarks hire those with disabilities. My seat didn't recline all of the way and now I know why no one chose my row (I wish they would have told me it was a Dbox row when I purchased the ticket). Overall, a decent experience and I would be back!

Needless to say a lot has changed since our last review of this Alamo location from 2017! Even though we hadn't written updated reviews, we nonetheless noticed (of course) that Alamo had consistently gotten worse over the years. However, our experience last week has confirmed that we will never ever be back here again. This place is the pits. The only reason we went is because someone got us a gift card. We bought our tickets, and there was a $7 "convenience fee" like we are in 1998. But then, we get to the theatre, and--JOKE'S ON US because we had no idea that this had happened--you do everything through a QR now. Are you kidding??? How much soul can you suction out of a business!?! The whole point of this whole enterprise was to use the fun little pencils, write your order down, and have the charming experience of HUMAN INTERACTION. Now, you have your phone out--yes, haha that they mention the irony after the bazillion ads we had to sit through!--and there is an automatic 18% tip included. Wowza! We were so disgusted that we only ordered beers. Our daughter had to get TWO kids pizzas because the portions were so small. The menu is way more limited and even more overpriced than one could imagine. Hope you liked Toy Story 5! Oh, AND FYI, if you forget to close out your tab, they add a 5% ADDITIONAL tip within 20 minutes of the movie closing. I mean, this place truly, truly hates its customers. And what greets you at the main desk? A Gen Z'er on her phone the entire time who can't be bothered to look up when folks come and go. We hate this place so much and we are SO excited for the day that we hear that they will have to shutter their doors because, honestly, no business deserves to go under more than this one. 1 star only because we can't give zero.
