The atmosphere is great and Comfortable, the food was okay. pizza was like eating a totinos frozen pizza.

I'm a big fan of IPIC Theaters, it's a great little theater in The Domain and one I really enjoy. It's feels very inclusive to me because of its wheelchair accessibility. It's always clean and the people working there are so nice and it makes a difference in the whole vibe of the place. They have a good drinks menu and food too. The recliners are comfortable, but they do run a little short. My feet hang off the end and I'm only 5'7". Thankfully they offer cozy blankets, which I love and definitely helps. Service is easy and convenient. You can push a button if you need something or just order from your phone without missing anything. The lobby is also a nice place to hang out before or after your movie with a full bar, a pool table, and plenty of family games to play. Prices are pretty comparable to other theaters of the kind, so it doesn't feel like a big splurge. Just a really enjoyable spot for a movie night. read more

I started going to IPIC in 2011and loved it for so many years... until i went this past Saturday. It's become a glorified AMC, but at luxury prices. Two tickets came to $40.92 (including tax and "booking fees"), which isn't much different that the past, but they stopped giving the bags of popcorn and blankets with the "nice seats" at some point. When the server came, they told us there was a problem with their ordering system, so we could order up until 20 minutes into the movie, but anything after that we would have to walk out to the lobby and make an order We orders an iced tea, Diet Coke, order of sliders, and nachos with a "steak" upgrade. When the drinks were brought, we asked for some Splenda for the unsweetened tea, and the runner made a face and simply never returned. The sliders were cold and the nachos were just nasty - more "steak" in a can of Campbell's soup. They also came with tiny amounts of sour cream, pico, guac, and jalapeno, and way too much black bean paste. It was really just a plate of chips with bean paste. The food and drinks came to $75, which included an automatic 18% gratuity for a ridiculous lack of service. In the past, the prices weren't outlandish, since they had a better level of food than Alamo and others. Now, it's just from garbage you'd get at a waterpark. It's a shame that a once elevated experience just sucks now - bad, overpriced food and an understaffed crew. Definitely my last time going out of the way to see a movie at IPIC. This was my first visit and to be fair, I was a little confused when I walked in and didn't immediately see my friends seated as I didn't know the seats were cubbies of two. By the time I found my seat, the lights went out right as I settled in. From there, it was much harder than it needed to be to just order a cup of coffee. Three stars is for the design. I could not use my phone to scan the QR code to order the coffee because it was dark. I pressed the button and waited forever for someone to come and take my order. Then my friend arrived and went through the exact same thing. Even when I did finally get a menu on my phone, it was overcomplicated to order. Seems like something that should be easy by now. Considering the number of other theaters that do in seat ordering. I'd go back and perhaps have a better time now that I know the lay the land. read more

How am I gonna get a movie ticket when I can't even see what time the movies are at but you said you can purchase them at the box office but what time the website doesn't even give you a time for any movie so I just go there and see what's available. You can't put online what time a movie starts again you can't purchase a movie but I have to go to the box office to see what's playing and what time it's very inconvenience. You can at least say what the movie is what time it's available and we understand get the ticket there. read more

I went on a date here last week to see The Odyssey. It was nice of the guy to pay so much for the experience. I've been here once before many years ago for a movie and thought for the price, it wasn't really that much different than some of the other reclining seat theaters. The seats are nicely situated and probably better for dates as they had two seaters sections separated from each other. It was very cold inside so I was grateful for the blankets. The lady who took our order and helped us find our seats was really nice and helpful. We just ordered a large popcorn as it was a midday movie. The bathroom door locks were broken in a couple of the women's stalls so I had to go in/out of a couple before finding one that would close. I've also been there a couple of times for a networking event in their lobby area in the past, which was nice. I hope they figure out how to better market it since it's in a great location because I'm not sure how long it will last as a movie theater. read more

We recently visited IPIC Theaters and had such a great experience. The movie was super comfortable overall, but what really surprised us was the food. I didn't expect theater dining to be this tasty! The shrimp had a nice spicy kick, the chicken was tender and flavorful, and the tuna salad was absolutely delicious. We also tried a berry dessert that was the perfect sweet finish. Between the comfy seating and surprisingly great food, it made for a really enjoyable night out. For those saying the tix are expensive - well yeah I mean you don't have any neighbors next to you it's comfy and reclining plus you get to order food. So it's a fair price I'd say. read more

Date night. 9:30 showing, arrived 9:12, friendly service from entry. I was a little nervous because my man hadn't pre reserved the seats, but we were good (luckily) We were able to get great back row seats. Y'all, I love the intimate seating pods for two so much, But do not go here if you are tired because you will be out like a light. Each seat has a blanky and reclines all the way back. The only drawback, the reclining seat does not have the best head recline experience You either go all the way back or all the way up there is no head up feet out option.. If you recline, you'll be laying all the way back ready to go to sleep, speaking from experience maybe. Anywho, I was able to stay awake through the entire 3 and 1/2 hour movie. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet because it was cheaper to get the bottle than two glasses each. We ordered a large popcorn with some cheddar seasoning. I ordered the Green goddess turkey sliders and they were pretty good! My man ordered the lobster roll, But It was super small for $30. To him it was like a lobster slider. So of course I shared mine with him. Overall, We had a great date night, some good food and good wine. There were only a couple of not so perfect call outs: The upper body recliner laying you all the way back and our food came out before the popcorn. We love coming to the iPic. The service is always consistent and food is surprisingly tasty. It is a little pricy but I don't mind that. The only downside is the seats are only two in a cubby so it's difficult for my husband and daughter to go at the same time or one of us has to sit alone. The seats are comfortable and recline like you're sitting in your living room. Also get a small throw blanket. Regardless it's our movie theater of choice. read more

The blankets are a nice cozy touch that sets this spot apart from competitors like Alamo Drafthouse. Screens are huge. 1 STAR -- Absolutely unacceptable. My friend and I watched the LAST movie Sunday night. I am almost certain I left my wallet at my seat after paying. We were among the last people to leave, and shortly after driving away, I realized it was missing. I called repeatedly that night and throughout the next morning. Nobody answered. Nobody returned my voicemails. I even came back before the first movie started, and there were clearly employees inside, yet still no one answered the phone. My wallet contained several hundred dollars in cash, multiple gift cards, and several credit cards. The fact that it disappeared between the last showing and the first showing the next day--when employees and cleaning staff were the only people who should have been inside--is extremely concerning. Based on the circumstances, I strongly believe that someone from the cleaning staff who was working that night may have found my wallet and kept it instead of turning it in. The fact that nobody has been willing to properly check with the employees only makes this suspicion worse. What makes this even more unacceptable is the complete lack of effort. I asked if they could check with the employees who worked that night, but nobody seemed interested in actually investigating. If we had not proactively offered to leave our contact information, they would not have even asked for our phone number. They simply told us that if someone found the wallet, it would be left in the office. Not a single manager has contacted me. No follow-up. No investigation. Nothing. I cannot say for certain what happened to my wallet, but the circumstances and the theater's complete lack of response have left me seriously questioning whether my property was handled honestly. One star is honestly too generous. I will never trust this theater again. read more

We grabbed a cocktail from the bar and the bartender with the pink hair was the worst. She walked away while I was talking and just was so disdainful and rude about everything but it felt like it was my presence at the bar. Maybe some other stuff was going on for her but dang! My first time at this particular location. I'm a silver member and frequented different locations mostly in New York. This is the nicest IPIC I've been to by far. When you walk in there is an open lounge space with a pool table. I was greeted by an attendant who showed me where my movie was. We were running a bit late for our movie but as soon as we sat down we were greeted by our server. I'll also like to say that we had a nice blanket waiting for us which was nice for the feet. The food is always good, this time around we ordered wings and a passionfruit fresca both really good. I will definitely be back here again. It's located in the Domain so we got ice cream after the movie. read more

I am usually not a big fan of first or second row seating in a movie theater, but the reclining chairs were very comfortable and prevented any neck strain. The popcorn was fresh and tasty! Thank goodness for the blankets as their AC was somehow set to 60 degrees and even with jeans and jacket, I was cold. Having been to o an iPic Theater before, I was really looking forward to experiencing the iPic in Austin. I went to see Paul McCartney's film "One Hand Clapping". The film itself was alright, mostly footage of the band Wings in studio in 1974. However, this review is not about the film but, rather the iPic Theater experience. If you've never been to an iPic Theater, the experience is all about comfort and luxury. In the lobby is full bar serving an extensive array of beverages, alcohol and wine. You can also order from their menu, appetizers, snacks and main meal options. The service is top-drawer, black cloth napkin level. There's also a lounge area to meet up with friends which is very upscale / trendy. I would suggest NOT bringing the wee-little ones, especially if they tend to cry a lot. This is more of a mature venue, a place where you can bring your date to empress or, have an Adult night out. Also NOTE: The theater will ask you to shut off or, silence your cell phones. Please this to be respectful of others. Seating is intimate, most of which are paired in twos with surrounds so you don't have to bump elbows or share the cup holder with strangers. The chairs are clad in leather and recline at the touch of a button. Each seat has a blanket in case you get chilly. There is also a table with a QR code to scan for food and drink options. Hard bound menus are available on request. Then press the call button on your table and a Ninja Server will appear to take your order and serve it to you when it's ready. As mentioned, the decor of this theater is upscale and trendy. Not knowing how long this location has been around some of the seating and decor is beginning to show its wear. Discrete lighting under the bar was drooping down a bit, some of the chairs in the lounge were beginning to show wear on the leather. My date noted, the first restroom she went in was well kept and has plenty of stalls while the restroom on the other side of the lobby near theater 1 & 2 had three stalls and on did not work. The restrooms were otherwise clean. This may seem a bit nit-picky however, at this price point I would expect more. There is free garage parking adjacent to the theater. I did not see or notice if there are charging stations available. Expect to arrive a 30-45 minutes early so you have enough time to enjoy everything this theater has to offer. This is by far the best dine-in movie theater I have ever been to. The food was amazing, which says a lot for theater dining. I had the fried chicken strips and the tandoori chicken, and both were absolutely delicious. The fries were also top-tier--crispy, well-seasoned, and just perfect. One of the things I really loved was the seating setup. It's designed for privacy, with cozy two-seater arrangements and blankets provided. The blanket was definitely necessary because the AC was set to arctic blast. My only complaint was that the food took a while to arrive, but since it was Valentine's Day, I'll give them a pass. Bad boys bad boys what you gonna do what you gonna do when they come for you!! I wish I had a do over for watching Bad Boys for Life because I wouldn't have suggested this theater. Upon entering the theater we were checking in and for some reason they had a hard time finding our reservations in their system and weren't receptive to my bf trying to even show the confirmation on his phone. They told us we were too early for our 7:30 showing which we planned so we could enjoy drinks and appetizers at the bar. Secondly, the bartender was great and the drink was amazing. However, there were gnats everywhere. It was hard to enjoy our drinks due to waving away bugs. We ordered fries and pretzels and I literally rushed to eat my food so bugs wouldn't get on them. I was annoyed by the time we finished our drink so we opted for the check. Lastly I understand that ipic serves food. The employee asked us multiple times throughout the movie if we wanted anything after we already advised we had drinks and food at the bar and we were okay. If we wanted assistance or to order we would have hit the call button. I did appreciate the blanket but after going to theaters with heated seats it just wasn't the same. read more

Movies are nice to watch with a blanket , but don't know how soon they wash it , comfy chairs with leg and bag room . Easy move table and cup holder . The is the best date night movie theater in Austin as they have the most intimate, comfortable seating for two with their semi private pods which each contain two comfortably,  reclining seats with drink holders on the sides, rather than the middle making it easier to snuggle up with your date than in some other theaters.  They offer a decent variety of food and drink options and everything I have tried has been good. Most recently I tried and enjoyed their chicken skewers.  I usually opt for pizza when having dinner at the theater, but while their pizza is okay, I prefer the pizza served up by the Alamo and usually opt for something else at iPic.   The service here has varied from time to time but has overall been good. The front desk staff can be a little overly involved with commentary that is not always welcome on one's movie choice but they are efficient and friendly enough.  Inside the theater, service has always been polite and I have never had any issues with getting things promptly.  The service in dine in theaters can sometimes be distracting, but because of the way the pods are set up, I find the servers moving about doing their job much less disruptive here than in other dine in theaters.    Because of the way the pods are set up and with that lending itself less to large groups, I find the theater quiter overrall than most theaters. That said, because of the way the pods are set up I wouldn't choice this as a theater if I were seeing a movie with a group or the family. read more

went here once before maybe last year and it was fantastic, went back for partners' bday this last weekend and it was subpar to say the least. no servers came by our table at all during the whole movie and obviously at some point we wondered what we did wrong to not get any service at a place designed to serve you during the movie. we also did not want to get up to order at the bar and miss parts of the movie so we just sat thru it with no popcorn or the drink my partner wanted for his bday. Was looking forward to trying the nachos but was dissappointed we didn't even get the chance to order anything! after the movie finished had to use the bathroom and it was a mess! paper towels and toilet paper everywhere, clogged toilets and also some of the stall walls in the women's room are unstable and therefore the door wouldn't latch shut. seems like a low end movie theater larping as a high quality experience imo. read more

Longtime Fan, Now Deeply Disappointed - Beware iPics' Greedy Practices I've been a loyal customer of iPics for years--watched countless movies, ordered all of their food and drinks, and even recommended them to friends. Sadly, this recent experience has completely changed my opinion. I had a 7:00 PM movie reservation, booked online ahead of time. Due to parking challenges, I arrived at 7:22. The movie had barely begun--it was still playing ads. But that didn't matter. I was refused entry because of their inflexible "20-minute late entry policy." And here's the kicker: I was told the only way I could still watch the movie was to buy another full-price ticket... for the very same show I already paid for. No refund. No understanding. Just a robotic recital of policy and a shameless attempt to get more money out of a paying customer. What makes this policy even more nonsensical is that people were walking in and out of the theater all night--so clearly it's not about keeping disruptions to a minimum. I've never felt so dismissed by a place I used to genuinely support. This isn't just bad customer service--it's a business model built on squeezing loyal guests for every dollar. Absolutely appalled. Save yourself the headache. iPics no longer deserves your business. Visit Alamo Drafthouse instead. They're have amazing food & drinks, but more importantly, they don't enforce absurd policies. They actually care about their guests and are happy to accommodate. I'll be making the switch--and I hope you all do the same. read more

I didn't order food so I can't speak to that. This review is for the aesthetic and theater. Overall thought it was a nice theater, went on a Thursday night solo. The initial seating was super dark (people had to ask for the lights to come up and/or climbed over railings because they couldn't see how to get around). The sound was good but nothing remarkable. The blankets were a nice touch, but with a pandemic, it just felt icky. The seats are caramel brown leather and reclined which was nice, but stopped at a weird angle for me. As a short person, I was fine but if you're taller than 5'8" this may not be the place to go because the leg room will be a problem. Might go back, might not. Try it out for yourself. read more

Went here for the first time to see the Little Mermaid. Very nice team member greeted me at the door and let me know how IPIC operated. Got to my seat and there was a blanket waiting for me. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls and they were good but they weren't all that warm. Seats recline and allow your feet to be lifted up. There is also a cup holder on the side of the seat so you don't have to worry about your drink falling. Will definitely be returning! read more

This place is alright, I guess. I'm going to be making comparisons in my review to the Alamo Drafthouse since I frequent the Alamo the most. We've all felt the pressure from inflation, so with the Alamo getting more expensive and decreasing in quality over the years, we thought we'd give iPic a try since the prices are pretty comparable. Buying the tickets online was easy. The lobby/bar area of the theater is very well decorated and clean. We came to watch Oppenheimer on a Saturday around lunch. The theater was not crowded; the viewers during our showing were quiet and not disruptive. I liked the distance from other people in the theater. The concept of recliners in a movie theater is nice, but honestly, the seats were not comfortable. You don't get any back support while sitting upright or leaning back. We were also freezing despite having on layers and the complimentary blankets. My blanket smelled like cheap perfume, so I'm not sure if they wash them in between movies. There isn't a small light on the table, so it was hard to see our food or check/sign our bill. They play a weird reel of ads on repeat before your movie. Like a low-budget, low-effort version of Alamo/Flix pre-show clips. We didn't have any significant issues with the service. One of our servers smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, so that wasn't particularly pleasant, but all of them were very nice. The food itself tasted fine and came out quickly (we had the tempura shrimp wrap and buttermilk fried chicken with fries). Definitely pricy but comparable in quality and price to the food at the Alamo Drafthouse. There was some confusion with our drink order; we ordered a latte but had to press the call button because they forgot about it. Someone then brought us a regular black coffee during the movie, so we said "hey, this isn't what we ordered." The server responded "Oh, your server didn't come back to tell you that our latte machine is broken?" "Uh...no, no one told us that, but we'll just take the plain coffee, it's no big deal." Once we got our check, they still charged us for a latte (which is more expensive than a regular coffee), so I had to flag down a server once again asking them to remove the extra charge. I explained that I was fine paying for the regular coffee. They just ended up refunding us for the latte we never got and didn't charge us for the plain coffee. Overall it was a very average experience with hiccups. The food and pretty lobby aren't enough to convince us that iPic would become our first choice for going to the movies. read more

I was waiting to post this review, but after waiting 15 minutes to speak with a manager with no success I'm sending it. This past Thursday, I took my girlfriend to see the Barbie movie which was great, but this was the only enjoyable part of our experience at IPIC. I ordered popcorn which was brought out lukewarm and then we proceeded to wait another 10 minutes for the waters to be delivered. At first I tried to pay with cash but our operator Alex said that they were not accepting cash at this time. His service was all around subpar so I didn't bother to tip or sign the check. Although I did take a picture, and oh boy I'm glad I did. ALEX thought it was okay to tip himself nearly 200% on the order. And no you did not hear that wrong. Im very disgusted with the service and integrity of this establishment. Be careful and take a picture of your receipt because you will need it when contacting your bank to dispute the theft. read more
