I love the summer movie theater. Comfortable seats and very cute movies such as babe. It's nice they give film members free popcorn.

Love this venue! It's quaint, so any seat is a good seat! Would definitely go back. Only complaint is it was hot in the theater.

It's always clean and the people working there are so nice and it makes a difference in the whole vibe of the place. They have a good drinks menu and food too. The recliners are comfortable, but they do run a little short. My feet hang off the end and I'm only 5'7". Thankfully they offer cozy blankets, which I love and definitely helps. Service is easy and convenient. You can push a button if you need something or just order from your phone without missing anything. The lobby is also a nice place to hang out before or after your movie with a full bar, a pool table, and plenty of family games to play. Prices are pretty comparable to other theaters of the kind, so it doesn't feel like a big splurge. Just a really enjoyable spot for a movie night.

By the time I found my seat, the lights went out right as I settled in. From there, it was much harder than it needed to be to just order a cup of coffee. Three stars is for the design. I could not use my phone to scan the QR code to order the coffee because it was dark. I pressed the button and waited forever for someone to come and take my order. Then my friend arrived and went through the exact same thing. Even when I did finally get a menu on my phone, it was overcomplicated to order. Seems like something that should be easy by now. Considering the number of other theaters that do in seat ordering. I'd go back and perhaps have a better time now that I know the lay the land.

Booked tickets two days in advance and the theater was empty with only a few other viewers. This place was a bit out of the way/hidden so using GPS is a must as I wouldn't have seen it. Movie started at 7, got into the theater closer to 7:10 after previews started and as mentioned, with no one in the theater, it wasn't a problem. Seats were comfortable and reclined which were nice. Ample leg room and walking room for each tier as well. Movie screen/sound were as anticipated. Didn't try any concessions although the popcorn always smells great.

Fortunately, Middlefiskville Road is a short street and I was able to find the theatre before previews started playing. My book club's discussion in January is The Housemaid, q psychological thriller by Freida McFadden. When speaking with a Yelp friend, we learned we both had read the book and decided to see the movie based on the book. The movie follows pretty closely to the book with some minor changes. The theatre was exactly how I remembered it to be. Galaxy is in a funky location...in a small strip mall west of IH35 near Burlington Coat Factory. At 7 pm, the theatre was extremely quiet with no one in the lobby and one couple in our theatre. Highly recommend the book and movie...

I like Alamo Drafthouse theaters for their plush, assigned seating and full dining experience at your seat. The baked pretzel was delicious and big enough to share. I regularly frequent Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar to view movie screenings…read more This time around we had 3 people in our party and there were only 2 seats remaining in the theater and the staff accommodated us by moving one of the handicap seats to accommodate everyone in our party. This was a very kind gesture that went above and beyond and was greatly appreciated or we would have been turned away from the screening by the PR company coordinating it. They have a variety of quality food items to choose from on their menu. I love the popcorn, with all the flavor combinations with my favorite being Parmesan and herb. The price point for food has gotten a bit high but you do get unlimited free refills on soft drinks and popcorn. They used to charge for extra Parmesan herb seasoning on refills, but in my last visit that was no longer the case. I also love the fried pickles and dry fried cauliflower with the vegan ranch dip. They have some really good food options for a theater. So my last screening experience to Mother Mary, we were seated late and this resulted in me not being able to order my food though the new QR code/phone ordering process. It was too dark for my phone to scan the QR code so someone took my order verbally. Then come to find out that they no longer had the Frito pie which is what I was trying to order. So they brought me a paper menu and card to write out my order which I did. Well, no one came back to pick up the card even though the light was on until the very end of the movie. Also when they brought the cauliflower, they forgot the vegan ranch dip so I had to get up and track someone down to get it which interrupted the movie viewing experience. Then I was charged and automatic service change and gratuity on top of that even though I was not satisfied with my service or food ordering experience. This was very frustrating to say the least. So now I am experiencing some issues that I have not previously had before which caused some stress and anxiety and diminished my experience. As with any new process, I hope this is only temporary because for this price point I expected more.

An always great theatre with amazing atmosphere and staff…read more That being said, I want to highlight, particularly, how genius the new QR ordering system is. Although my phone has trouble picking up the dimly lit code, it's simple enough to ask a nearby patron to shine their phone light for me. Easy peasy! The exposition doesn't matter to most of us anyway. There is, however, a new problem unique to the Mueller location! The cell service is abysmal in Mueller, and Alamo Drafthouse's elegant solution is to graciously funnel guests onto their unencrypted public wifi network. To me, this shows a indominable commitment to helping the tech-savvy less fortunate. It's now easier than ever for some of the more determined patrons to access the financial information of anyone ordering this way (so everyone!). As someone who loves to donate but hates receiving praise for it, I really appreciate a system that may allow people more deserving than me to benefit from my bank card details anonymously. Another thing, I LOVE the new layer of audience participation Alamo has introduced by inviting patrons to police one another with their cell phones during the movie. It's nice when everyone gets to be both the problem and the solution. Finally, nothing completes the premium experience like getting a text from Alamo in the third act reminding me to close my tab. I've always felt the emotional climax of a film could use a small, administrative, interruption. 10 billion stars if I could. Ps. I got a great idea I'm willing to share... We should fully replace the pre-show anti-talking & texting warning with a live customer satisfaction survey everyone has to complete on their phones before the movie even starts. Feedback is invaluable.

You can order food and drinks via a QR code at your seat, which is a nice perk. I chose our seats and in retrospect, I should have selected seats in a higher row. The auditorium did not have a steep incline as I anticipated, however, the seats were fine. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of the communal bathrooms, which is the design at the Alamo Drafthouse. The good news is that you have a urinal or restroom option with associated signage. Like all movie theatres, the food and drinks are overpriced. In addition, you have pay a 18% service charge along with a tip. I ordered bottomless popcorn and unsweet tea and paid over $20. Interestingly, the popcorn came in a metal bowl...perhaps a sustainability measure. The popcorn was fresh and buttery. Now for the best part...we went to see the Devil Wear Prada 2. Amazing movie with many salient themes... as a side note, I know every single line of the original Devil Wears Prada. Definitely will be watching this movie again...
