Great historic theater! Great prices, and has kept a part of history alive! I wish more Downtown Taylor businesses would follow their lead.

This is a spot tucked away in a corner in Hutto that will not disappoint you. I visited this…read morelocation during the week for a 4:30 movie and had a great experience. Tickets are available for purchase online in advance and of course that is where you will select your seats. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Iliana, who was super sweet and directed us to the self service kiosk and answered all questions we had. The tickets were printed quickly, and then we were off to get food before the movie. The concession stand appeared to be stocked and it was fairly quiet with not many people which was also a plus. Although we did not purchase any snack items, I did notice that the popcorn and soft drinks were unlimited and you refill everything yourself which is also a great addition. Happy Hour is from 4-7 Monday-Thursday, and because I arrived at 4, I was able to take full advantage of it. Hooky offers a GREAT selection of drinks and small bites during this time, which was impressive to say the least. We sat at the bar and Trace immediately greeting us, and gave more insight into Happy Hour. We ordered two drinks, and they were super strong and refreshing. Our food order consisted of the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Loaded Waffle Fries, and Dynamite Shrimp. Everything was fantastic and cooked perfectly!! The actual theater that our movie played in was super clean, and the chairs were comfortable. I also visited the restroom and that was also clean which impressed me as well. After the movie, we got one more drink before the end of happy hour and this time Elias the new bartender was also extra nice, knowledgeable, and professional. We moved on to the games and had a great time with no wait to play anything. You will need a digital card and load money, which equates to points. Each game is a reasonable amount of points, and some games offer tickets after winning which can be used for prizes once you're all done and ready to head out. Connor helped in the prize area and I selected a cute little commemorative lip gloss for my first Hooky prize. They also offer bowling, which we did not partake in, but the lanes were clean and not crowded, so I will definitely be back !!! Overall this location offers good food, great drinks and a nice atmosphere which can be enjoyed by all.

Now, the food was not great in my opinion. I had the elote fritters and a shrimp Caesar salad. The elote fritters were fried too hard and dry, so I wasn't a fan. The Caesar salad with grilled shrimp was not good at all. I believe they waited too long to bring it out, so the lettuce was extra soggy (like cooked spinach) and warm. Warm salads are not my thing. Anywho, Wicked: For Good was amazing!

When I worked in the area, I must have passed by Flix Brewhouse a thousand times. However, I never…read moreknew it was a movie theatre. A friend recently told me about the theatre and their overall positive experience. Date night with the hubs...we decided to see the new Michael movie. The movie was very well done and captivating. I learned some new things about Michael. First, he was huge visualization and positive imaging guy...likely one of the keys to his success. Also, I did not know he lived as long with his family (according to the hubs he was 29 years old.) Finally, I did not know the fire to his head while filming the Pepsi commercial caused 3rd degree burns and nerve damage which required pain medications. Now for the brewhouse, if you are a big fan of beer, then this is the place for you. I do not drink beer, so this was certainly not my draw. If you like beer, they have a huge assortment to choose from. As you walk into the theatre you can see large metal vats, which you might see in any brewery. In addition, the theatre is extremely comfortable with stadium type seating. You can recline into pure comfort. The sodas and popcorn were topnotch...fresh and tasty. Buying movie tickets is completely online through a kiosk...very straightforward and easy. Will definitely be back...

It's been a minute since I've been to this location and there's been a lot of changes. I love to see how they're evolving. Now you can order from scanning the QR code and you can add to your order whenever you want pick your seat and continue to add to your tab without waiting on a server. Super user friendly and fast. I will say that I unfortunately am still not a fan of the new seat and table design. Depending on where you sit you may not have a good view more than likely it will be obstructed by either your cup and food or the centerpiece that has the lights over the table. The other design flaw is the reclining chair. You recline all the way, The head portion goes all the way back and if you lay back you can't really see the movie. Also the reclining chairs were not designed for those above 5'8 or so. I'm 5'10" Anywho, I still really enjoyed the movie by figuring out how to unobstruct my view, I enjoyed the food and the Arnold Palmer. Mostly, I enjoyed going to the movies with my son. P.S. My son is 6'4" and this is his favorite place and it doesn't bother him at all

Booked tickets two days in advance and the theater was empty with only a few other viewers. This place was a bit out of the way/hidden so using GPS is a must as I wouldn't have seen it. Movie started at 7, got into the theater closer to 7:10 after previews started and as mentioned, with no one in the theater, it wasn't a problem. Seats were comfortable and reclined which were nice. Ample leg room and walking room for each tier as well. Movie screen/sound were as anticipated. Didn't try any concessions although the popcorn always smells great.

Fortunately, Middlefiskville Road is a short street and I was able to find the theatre before previews started playing. My book club's discussion in January is The Housemaid, q psychological thriller by Freida McFadden. When speaking with a Yelp friend, we learned we both had read the book and decided to see the movie based on the book. The movie follows pretty closely to the book with some minor changes. The theatre was exactly how I remembered it to be. Galaxy is in a funky location...in a small strip mall west of IH35 near Burlington Coat Factory. At 7 pm, the theatre was extremely quiet with no one in the lobby and one couple in our theatre. Highly recommend the book and movie...
