Restaurant: the world's saddest salad lives here. Accompanying it is the world's most apathetic manager. Did I really pay nine bucks for a shredded pile of iceberg lettuce on a plate? The smell wafting off that plate was, well... foul. Vegetal. And I eat salads. This smelled nasty. Atop my pile was a sprinkling of tomato. An equivalent of two slices of ever so finely diced avocado. Lots of green apple. Let me guess what you're trying to skimp on? Was it not enough that I skipped the bacon and cheese? You had to give me this? The funniest part was that the manager was completely powerless. He couldn't be troubled to make a nice salad. I didn't ask for anything free. Yet after visiting our table and seeing/acknowledging the quality, he skirted our table for the next hour. It was amusing to watch him walk the perimeter of the restaurant and dodge our sight line for the rest of the visit. What are you afraid of? We paid the forty-two dollars for the one beer, child's pizza, and two garden salads. Ridiculous. RIDICULOUS. My husband is a restaurant GM at a highly visible restaurant in Austin. I went to dinner on a Thursday night with my fiancé. The service and food were great, not a long wait for food. Really good spinach dip! Tickets for the movie after dinner were cheap. The bathroom I went to was clean (as expected, it's new) and didn't have those automatic faucets I hate. But it did have auto hand dryers, the strong ones. The dining area had a lot of TVs! Theater seats were clean and comfortable. Nice place! read more

Movies at 5$ before 6 is a grate price especially if you have a couple of kids! The food is even priced pretty low, not grate hot dogs but still you get what you paid for right? Still saved a bundle compared to other places. Now for the rest of the place.....it is full of pre teens and teens. Not a place where adults could go and hang out, but good place for parents to take their kids. The place is over priced, some games didn't work, staff was pretty sucky. So my review is strictly on the movie side, I haven't gone bowling or done the arcade yet. The movie theater screen is ridiculously clear.. the seats are pleather or leather and so comfortable. The actual theaters are small and so that's nice.. not too many people and the ticket price is 5.00 (during the day, and at night with a student ID). The food isn't any more expensive then other place and this place makes me wish that I lived in Kyle, because then I would be there constantly. I was told that on Sat. nights the bowling gets packed and I have seen the arcade at night full of children too. so that must be a good sign. EVO did get vandalized already.. which is so sad. But with all the young kids and teenagers from the surrounding areas .. you never knew who did it? I would highly recommend this place and I will be visiting it again this coming weekend. Once I have tried out the whole thing... I will do another review ;) read more

First time here, not impressed. While it's $5 Tuesday and winter break, this place is totally understaffed. Sat at the bar at Hardie Hoos for over 5 min. Bar tender didn't acknowledge us, and then disappeared. No beer for us. Kids played several games and didn't score tickets, even though they got the balls into the buckets. The games are also pricey for most of them $1.50. Currently waiting 18 min in line for popcorn and drinks, with another 5 people in front of us. Only 3 stations open, and all are running out of one thing or another. Very disappointing. After the movie and others where finished, and all the patrons come out of the theaters, they decide to push the vacuum cleaner down the main hall way. Really, couldn't that be done during the movies or after the hallways clear out? So now we tried the bar again, just to find out they don't serve wine or have a drink menu. Not in a hurry to come back here for sure. read more

Really cool hang out spot reminiscent of Dave and Busters but better. There is a restaurant, bowling alley, bar, movie theater, and arcade. You can buy prepaid cards to play the arcade games. The tickets you win automatically load onto your player card which you can redeem for prizes. The bowling is by hour. Tip: bring socks because they do not sell any. read more

Clean establishment in Buda. It's a hodpodge of arcade games, bar, bowling alley, and movie theater all in one. Didn't try a movie there yet. Bowling alley is nice. There aren't many arcade games but enough to keep children occupied. The bowling alley, arcade, and bar is all in the same area so I suppose adults could grab a drinky and be able to watch their kiddos run around at the same time. Gets busy on the weekend evenings. The dining area with bar isn't that large so if you have a large group 20+ , ask if you can get the party room where they have extra tables. read more

Loud all around. The movie theater: kids who clean the theater open the doors before move ends and talk really loud. Wait until the credits are at least well rolling. On Sunday mornings and early afternoon, it can be very loud in the theaters with a Church that rents out many theaters being very loud in the hallways, leaking into the theaters because half their doors don't even close. Finally, the arcade area amps it up to another level of loudness. Would love to bowl some, but the music and arcade games are freaking crazy loud. P.S. Get some dimmable lights in the theaters so you can play previews and end credits without lights at blast level. read more

I went to go see maze runner last night. I ran out before my movie started to get some last minute snacks. There were two young men working the concession. Their service was amazing to say the least. Went here for another bday party. Literally half the games were out of commission, soap was empty in women's bathroom even when they were told at beginning of party. Have always liked coming here in the past. Since my last visit they have changed to assigned seating. This really makes the ticket buying line extra long and slow. The concession line is always long and slow and now so is the ticket line. Also I don't like the idea of choosing my seats before I get in the theater. Sometimes I don't want to sit next to a small child or someone who keeps checking their phone. My other disappointment is they no longer give one free re-fill on the large popcorn or soda! I'm paying a ton of money for these items and they can't refill them once. read more

This review is for the bowling, on site restaurant & arcade. Pretty much everything except for the cinema part, as we didn't watch a movie during our visit, which was on a weeknight. The place itself is small. It is convenient to get to from the interstate. There is nothing attached to the building, the mall is a ways away on the other side of the road. The staff were mostly friendly, some were not. A lot of the staff around were teenagers huddled together looking at a phone & couldn't be bothered. The servers at the restaurant / bar area were helpful. Bowling was okay, we were in a party with other family members & it was fun for the kids. Typical bowling alley, there's not that many lanes but they were able to accommodate us. The restaurant / bar: The drinks we got were good, mixed up fast and as requested. They have probably 3 vegan / slightly more for vegetarian items on the restaurant menu. I checked before we went so it was as expected. I do wish they had more veggie options. They got the orders correctly and brought it out at a reasonable time. Everyone seemed okay with the food that they ordered. Arcade: the kids wanted to play so cheerio I guess. Not really a lot of games and nothing I would be interested in. Other places like Main Event have more machines, and have older games. Other: I noticed a lot of random teenagers & people just hanging out at the parking lot later in the night. They were just out by their cars, sitting on the pavement or walking on the far side of the parking lot strolling by the grass. Kind of weird to have all the people loitering on a weeknight, but I guess this might be a popular "date night" spot in Kyle? Overall, I would rate this place a 3/5. I would only come back if someone told me to meet up there with their children. It's a good option if you want a night with friends who have to bring their kids. I wouldn't drive all the way through south Austin / I-35 traffic just for fun. read more

It's very annoying and uncomfortable as a customer to have someone in your spot and then you're forced to sit in another's spot causing another awkward interaction. Jeez where do I start? The $13 tacos with 3 shrimp each in them? Or the SCREAMING THREE YEAR OLD seeing it chapter 2? Or the incessant yelling, talking and screaming from the teenager section in the front? Or the manager that I asked to shut them up that left after 5 minutes of "watching" them? Or the couple in front of me making a comment to every freaking line throughout the 3 hour movie? No thanks. The bar area is overwhelmingly understaffed. The staff there is rude and they avoid you like the plauge so you dont ask for anything . My only saving grace was ordering my movie tickets online. Smh. So sick of telling people how to do their job. If you are a bartender or hiring a bartender; please remember their/your personality is what is being tipped. I was at EVO when they first opened at this location. I recommended it to out of town friends. They said that the seats in the theater for Lion King were all torn up. They could not enjoy the movie. I will not ever do that again. I guess you have allowed patrons to just trash everything. What a shame to let your staff allow the destruction of your business. read more

Note, I'm NOT reviewing the movie side of this place, just the restaurant and arcade. I took the kids here for some food and games. The food was horrible, pizza was like cardboard, I couldn't tell the difference between the mozzarella sticks and pizza. Fries were cold and our order was wrong. Wait staff screwed up drinks and were nowhere to be found. The arcade, a few of the machines were gracious to accept our tokens but would never allowed the kids to play. Reported this to the staff, they were unwilling to return her credits, but did say sorry. Oh, and you need to pay a dollar for the game cards of which the staff tried to take back after we were done. In all, it wasn't a cheap outing and we left hungry and ripped off. Never again. read more

Horrible from start to finish. The people attending the bowling alley check in were beyond rude. Our conversation went something along the lines of: Me: we'd like a lane for 4 please. Him: yeah well that's not going to happen anytime soon. You'll have to wait at least 1 to 2 hours. Turns and walks away! We were celebrating a birthday, so we decided to wait. We went to their on site restaurant. We waited 25 min for our first drink. 22 min more for our meal. They forgot our appetizer and in general it was an awful experience. I flagged the manager down to inform him that they were severely understaffed. It wasn't the waitress' fault, it was the negligent way they were staffing the place. There were tons of "workers" around chatting it up with one another. What did he reply? Yeah we know. That was it! The waitress then tells us the place is just a mess, and the CEO was there to put things in order. Well if that's "putting things in order" then I sure don't want to be there when it really hits the fan. 2 hours later we check on the bowling status, another hour or so says the uninteresting teen. At that point we leave, never to be back again. Absolutely the worst first experience ever. I hope someone in management takes the time to read this and makes an honest attempt to turn this titanic around. read more

Where do I start? We bought tickets online. When we tried to pick them up from the box office, they told us they were "pretty sure" they needed the confirmation #, they couldn't use the credit card we purchased the tickets with. This sent my husband back in the pouring rain to our car, which was pretty far away in a packed parking lot. Then when we went to pick up the tickets again, we were told we did NOT need the confirmation, they could just do it with the card. Okay, fine, it's their 1st big weekend. I get it. We then went to ask what time we should line up to get good seats since they are not reserved, we were told 6:30. So we went to the bar to grab food and drinks. It took forever for the bartenders to notice us. Service was super slow. Long story short here - we put our name on a list, never were called, ordered boneless wings from the bar which were CHICKEN NUGGETS with lemon pepper seasoning (seriously chicken nuggets, another customer thought they were fried pickles) and their beer tap stopped working. When we closed our tab, we were not given our card back. A rude bartender girl told us they gave it back. When I told her that was incorrect, she then very quickly told me we never gave them our card. It wasn't until a very nice manager was called in that the mystery was solved. A bartender ACCIDENTALLY TOOK OUR CREDIT CARD HOME! Ugh, tired of typing. I went to at least try to get our seats while we waited for the bartender to come back. Only to find out that the line didn't start at 6:30, seating started at 6:30...even though we specifically asked. So of course, no seats left but at least I have time to sit here while I wait for the bartender to come back with our credit card to write this review. The one redeeming quality was the incredibly gracious and understanding manager, Amanda. After all my frustration, I was super impressed with how she handled everything. I just hope every night isn't like this for her. Any company should be honored to have her a part of their team. read more

I am new to Buda so I was so excited when a couple of months after we moved in, EVO opened up so we hauled tail to check it out. At first glance it's a nice family atmosphere where everyone can have a good time. Adequate parking and the theatres are really nice. At first there were some growing pains. The movie times on my ticket were wrong. They were out of a bunch of stuff from the concessions stands. The staff were improperly trained and didn't really know what they were doing. I get it, new place, they'll shape up. A few months later I went back on a Saturday and the staff still seemed like they were lost. We got our seats and I went to get a coke because who doesn't like a cold coke during their movie. I waited in line for 15 mins to then hear the cashier tell each and every person individually that they were out of ALL soda except for lemonade. How can you be out of freaking SODA on a WEEKEND? Why could someone not have the foresight to put up a sign instead of making everyone wait so that they would know. This place looks like it's grossly mismanaged. I have given up on this place. I will drive the additional 15 mins into Austin to go to a cinema that knows what they're doing. read more

The movie theatre portion is nice, and that's about all you should come here for. As far as the bowling and arcade portion... I'll never be back. The arcade is rather small and cramped, therefore crowded and not easily accessible. As for the bowling... The seats are roomy and comfortable, and right next to the bar. That's all it has going for it. The lanes are the worst I've ever bowled on. They appear to be vinyl with a VERY light layer of oil on them. They're full of dimples and are uneven. Don't attempt to play anything remotely competitive on these lanes. All they're good for is fooling around and throwing a ball towards some pins. All in all. Too crowded and cramped with tons of noisy children. Awful lanes, sub par food... But a decent theatre. read more

If I am going to pay $6.75 for popcorn, then I want it the way I want it- and that is with butter in the middle. Luis told me I couldn't put butter on my popcorn because there was a line. He said I could shove a straw down my popcorn and try buttering it that way. I told him he can keep his popcorn My husband is now speaking to the manager. If you don't want to allow people to fix their popcorn then by golly you should have a butter dispenser behind your counter and do it for us. This is the second time we have had a problem at this theater. This is the last time we will be spending money in our town to see a movie. Austin wins in customer service. Visit date 12/28/14 Movie situation was great. Great seats, great screen...Awesome! Loses 3 stars due to poor customer service. Management must be poor. There was no one over the age of 18 in sight. When I approached the concession counter I was not greeted. One young girl made eye contact and then promptly walked away...the other was sweeping. Not in a hurry and being the only one in line I waited. Finally I said excuse me. The girl put the broom down and came to the counter. She said nothing. I ordered, the items were placed in front of me. The first and last time she spoke was to tell me my total. She pushed the receipt into my hand and walked away. Apparently butter is a self serve option ...That I had to figure out my self. I will be back but only for the movie. read more
