It was shortly after 8pm on a Wednesday and I had been at the mall since about 6. I live and work in Worcester and drove straight to the mall after work. I had been to countless stores trying to find a cute white dress, but no luck. On my walk out, I passed by this Windsor store and it caught my eye - there were tons of cute clothes. I had never heard of the brand before, but decided to go in. I had been in the store for only two minutes and already had 3 different items in my hands to try on. At this point, an employee approached me, looked at the items in my hands, and said "just so you know, our fitting rooms close in 5 minutes." Mind you it was like 8:10/8:15pm at this point and the store itself doesn't close until 9. I looked back at the employee confused and said "what...? I wanted to try these on and I'm not done looking...Nevermind I guess?" The girl just shrugged me off and said "yeah, sorry." On top of "closing the fitting rooms" almost a whole hour before your store closes just being a flat out ridiculous policy and practice, there was just no attempt on the employees end to help me out. It really stinks because I was intrigued by the clothes. I didn't even get a third of the way through your store and already had 3 things ready to try on! Won't be shopping there again. I'll shop somewhere where they let me try on clothes when the store is open.

Their jeans are dreamy not only because they fit, but because the denim they're cut from is exceptionally soft - even the really dark ones. In short, I love them love them love them, and am super excited I can get them at this shop in the Natick mall. Madewell stores are few and far-between, so seizing the opportunity to actually see, feel and try things on before purchasing rather than wait for UPS to deliver them is ideal. They also make great shoes, belts and accessories, not to mention tops and dresses. The sales girls were fun and sweet and not the least bit pushy, and they seemed to genuinely enjoy themselves whilst putting together the perfect outfit. Love.

Saying that we have a sense of urgency to get things done and a different way of interacting with customers. One way isn't better than the other, just different. Now, with that said, I enjoy shopping in a store with great customer service... greeting without being overwhelmed with a pushy sales associate.... but I find the staff here is very focused on "the purchasing customers." I was looking for a particular item... no one even tried to locate the pants ... no one offered me a dressing room with an arm full of items I had to ask. I love Chico's clothes and have a closet full of fabulous outfits that will last for years. The classic style or even the trending items will last forever. I just found that this store isn't what is considered Chico's standard of customer service. As a former manager, it makes me sad to see a brick and mortar miss the opportunity to be a fun plan to shop...I might as well shop online.
