Indoors at the Everyday Cafe....

Great ambiance and customer service! anytime I'm greeted with a smile I'm happy! The coffee was good, but I have to say the service was even better! I ordered a Flatbread Pizza with veggies to go with my coffee and man was it delicious ! The cafe is a large open and friendly space with plenty of tables and chairs. There is street parking outside and there is easy access.

Sausage, Egg & Cheddar Cheese English Muffin (add fresh spinach)

Really enjoyed this little coffee shop in the Homewood neighborhood. My husband & I went in for breakfast. You quickly see & feel its "coffee with a cause" mission - the family-owned business created by the Bible Center Church has a big display board in the back that tells its story. It's very community oriented. I love that it has a community kitchen for rent & is connected to a nearby farm/fishery for fresh food. Our English muffins were pretty tasty - Turkey sausage, egg, & cheese. The woman checking us out recommended fresh spinach - so I added some on mine. My husband's cranberry (orange?) muffin was not good, though. Quite dry. The coffee was good, as was my chamomile tea. We sat on a big couch by the front window to enjoy our meal. Most of the other diners were at tables working on laptops. A nice experience. We'll be back.

Pleasant and calming atmosphere. We went on a Friday morning. It wasn't busy so the service didn't take too long. They were very kind and it was cool to see the cool things they're apart of in the larger community. I also loved how they shared various nonprofit resources & services on the front table. I went here specially for the cookie butter frapp and it was worth it. It was well blended and flavorful. The brown sugar scone was sweet but not overly sweet. Even my picky niece who doesn't like to try new food tried it and enjoyed it. The scone definitely tastes better warmed up.

After spending the morning walking around The Frick Museum, my wife and I decided to venture down to Everyday Cafe. It was a somewhat cool and drizzly day, so a sandwich and soup sounded like the right idea. The cafe seems to be part of a larger enclave of businesses dedicated to social and cultural education and public outreach, though there was also a religious element to the messaging on the walls. We had no idea what kind of place the cafe was -- besides just being a cafe -- or what type of organization it was associated with, but it was a peaceful respite on a cold day and the employees were very nice. I had a ham and cheese panini with a cup of chili, and my wife had chicken and rice soup. The panini was good, somewhat standard as these things go, but the chili was really excellent. It had a bit of a kick to it but was not overpowering at all. The blend of spices and other ingredients was just right, and I easily could have eaten another cup of it happily. My wife's soup was also quite tasty, and she was happy to have gotten it. Before leaving, I ordered a double espresso, which hit the spot before going back out into the drizzle. We noticed as we were leaving that a small group of women were gathering for a weekly poetry reading and writing workshop. The space is perfect for that type of event. I don't remember what else was on the menu, but I recommend Everyday Cafe if you're in the area and want a good soup and sandwich.

What a great eatery and work space! Convenient street parking, order at the register (with divider), pay with card (no cash!), staff will bring out your food. The menu is varied. For my first visit I chose the southwest chicken wrap, which came grilled like a panini. That's the trick: the cheese was melty and so delicious! For dessert I hemmed and hawed between the chocolate-covered strawberry and peach smoothies. Since it's summer, I went with the peach, and I was not disappointed. Clean open space with plenty of windows for natural light while eating and/or working to jazzy tunes. Didn't stay long enough to check out the bathrooms this time. Staff were masked, most patrons were not, although I didn't sense any hostility that we wore masks. Will be back! Nota bene: This is actually a 4.5-star review that I rounded up, due to the air conditioning being quite strong. We dressed for the outdoor temperature (hot) rather than the indoor one (cold).

I just love this place. It's has a "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood" vibe to it Super sweet staff. Got delicious lattes and pastries. AND they had the cutest pop up book shop on site (Shout out to The Young Dreamers' Bookstore) so I bought two for my nephew while I was there. The one muffin I got was a bit undercooked, but I'm still giving them 5 stars cuz they're so dang nice.

We've come here two mornings to grab a quick breakfast. Both were pleasant experiences. While there is street parking, there is also a lot one block down. The dining space is open and inviting (especially during Christmastime). We got hot chocolate, coffee, and breakfast sandwiches. It may take some time but know the sandwiches are made fresh and taste so!

The Everyday Cafe has really god coffee and some of the best staff. I visited the cafe with a friend and we were greeted b Ezra, one of the staff. He was tremendous helpful and kind. It appears that the business does a lot in the community! Kudos to them !

Ironically, this place is closed on Sundays. The coffee is good and really hot. The vanilla latte with almond milk is really tasty. The soft, jazz music is relaxing and welcoming. A nice atmosphere that is a mix of comfort and busy.

Great place to study! They had TONS of tables and space, and didn't mind that I sat there for a few hours. It did get quite crowded, even on a Tuesday morning! I got the cappuccino, but they also had Commonplace coffee if that's your favorite. Milk options were almond, soy, or whole! They had lots of sandwiches and pastries to choose from too- I'll try one next time! I loved that they had a handy chart right by the register of what each espresso drink is (see photo). They also had lots of local event info posted and local PGH papers/magazines. It made for a really great atmosphere, and the staff were exceptionally helpful to top it all off!

Honey latte!

Came here recently due to my coffee passport! There is plenty of street parking. I ended up getting a honey latte, which was delicious. They also have a nice menu of breakfast options, paninis, soups, salads, and some pastries that I will have to try! There are lots of tables and space to study or chat with others. A hidden gem of a coffee shop. Will definitely be back!

Outstanding ambiance. Best wrap sandwich I've had in a long time. Strawberry açaí refresher was on point.

Wow!! What a TREAT! First time in Pennsylvania, only here for 2 days. I was scraping by with…read morehotel coffee and needed the goods! I do my diligence on Yelp and found this glorious coffee shop! Small parking lot, cute little cottage type building, so welcoming! It was a Saturday morning to a little busy, but I wasn't leaving until I tried their espresso! When traveling, I'll typically order a shot of espresso, and a cappuccino (2 separate drinks). It lets me see what the shop does with regard to preparation. Do they offer a small soda water with the espresso? Do they measure their shots? How's the micro foam on that capp? How are the ratios? One sip of the espresso, and I'm pretty sure it ranks in the top 3 ever, and I've had a LOT of coffee! It was sweet, juicy, and incredibly enjoyable, as was the cappuccino. I asked the Barista, "Hey, how are you dosing your shots today?" He didn't skip a beat, "19.6!" Now, when you ask a barista this question, nobody would ever say 19.6 unless they knew that adding one extra bean north of 19.5 made that much of a difference. He even knew the brew temp. I picked up a bag, thew it in my suitcase and made my way back to California. I can't wait to try it! Super cute place, incredibly friendly and caring staff. Every person I interacted with was kind, patient, and welcoming. PS: I didn't have one, but the Apple Fritter looked amazing and people were gobbling them up!! Stop in!

This review is solely for the Vietnamese coffee that was catered from Spigolo at a wedding event…read morethat I went to. Oh my goodness! This Vietnamese coffee was so good that I kept going back for seconds and thirds, which meant that I was going to the bathroom every 5 minutes when I was at the airport and on the airplane on a 5-hour flight home. It was worth every bathroom trip. It was so delicious, creamy, sweet, deep, flavorful, and everything that you could possibly want in a Vietnamese iced coffee. I never thought that I'd find amazing Vietnamese iced coffee in Pittsburgh, of all places, but it was really fantastic.

This cafe is a wonderful (but expensive) experience. You can grab a bite while spending time at…read morethe Frick, but there are also people that come just for the cafe. The inside space is TINY, so keep that in mind if you hope to visit on a cold or inclimate day. They do have outdoor seating available (and it is beautiful way to experience your meal surrounded by the beauty of the Frick site) You order inside and they have a nice selection of things like scones, sandwiches, salads and a fun variety of cocktails and mocktails. They food is made with quality ingredients and is very tasty. The staff work quickly to get your food ordered and meals prepped. Even when they are busy they still seem to move things along efficiently. It is probably the best museum cafe we have in Pittsburgh. The one downside is that is is expensive for what you get.

The first time, great food, quick service and an enjoyable atmosphere. The second time was six weeks later and when I say it was awful it was. My friend, daughter and I walked in for a quick lunch before heading to the museum and waited in line for 10 minutes before being told that the kitchen was overwhelmed and they were not serving for the next half hour. We toured the museum while waiting and were astonished at how underwhelming the free exhibit is. We live in the Cleveland area and the free collection at the Cleveland Museum of Art is amazing and thought every art museum was the same. It's not. We headed back to the cafe where we proceeded to wait over an hour for three scones, two pots of tea, a turkey sandwich and a bowl of soup. Truly a three year old could have made a better sandwich. The soup looked and tasted like it had been run through the garbage disposal first. The tea when we had service, was cool not hot. Truly a disappointment.
