They had the best customer service and offered me a discount for all my troubles. I became a member instantly. I am so happy my place closed so i could find a whole better environment. I have been to other tanning salons in San Diego and they do not have the same quality beds that will produce that perfect summer glow. My favorite bed is The Sun Angel, you see immediate results and will not burn. Only downside is parking can be a pain at this location because it is right next to an LA Fitness. read more

I was in Poway getting lunch with a friend at my favorite Mexican taco shop when I noticed that iTAN was in the same shopping center. Since its almost summer, and I was feeling a little pasty.. I decided to give them a try. I walked in and told the consultant that I had just wanted some information. Although the salon was super busy, the girl who helped me, shook my hand and greeted me then gave me an amazing tour of the entire salon. The tour definitely gave me great info on all the services they offer. The girl then walked me through all of their packages and prices! She was super sweet and friendly. I wish I could remember her name but there were two girls working that looked a lot alike! What I liked most about this place is that the girl wasn't too pushy to sell me a package, but was more helpful to tell me what I needed to do to achieve a great tan. I highly recommend this place! I really like this salon. I've been here 4 times so far and love it. It's very clean and sleek and has really nice beds (well I've only used the level 3 and 4 ones). I like the misters in the level 4 beds. Also I got an AMAZING deal on save.com for $49 for unlimited tans for the rest of the year. My friend got the same deal but was not a first time client so was therefore not eligible. When the asst manager told her this, she was so friendly and accomodating about it that my friend wasn't even upset. The girl told us that she'd apply the $49 towards any package she wanted, and was really empathetic. Great customer service! read more

I really enjoy my 20 minutes or so I spend each day it Itan Poway. Wasnt too sure about the whole thing when my friend dragged me there a couple of months ago but no I am a big believer in tanning. I went into ITan about a month ago looking to sign up for basic tan package. The girls working the front desk are VERY good at what they do. I ended up leaving with the trio option! I've tried several of the beds, the body wraps, beauty angel and hydration station. I noticed my skin bronzing after just a few sessions and the spa options keep my skin really soft. What makes this place really awesome are the front desk girls. Every single person that I've interacted with is friendly, professional and very knowledgable. Great staff! read more

Went in today with my sister to enjoy the spa week, was happy to be informed for double the price i could enjoy ALL spa benefits for the duration of 2014.also the front desk employee tori Rowe was so helpful and educated in the products and savings .she did not have to look at the lotion bottle or pamphlet to tell me .i came into spend 50 left spending double plus ...I've worked i sales and know the drill but she had the knowledge to secure my membership .thank you .i hope it pays off :) the only down was there was not enough machines so that my sis and i could enjoy the experience at the same time instead of waiting on each other read more

If I could rate this location a zero I would . I was sold a ridiculous package prior to my wedding which I forgot to cancel. When I got around to canceling it 7 months later the location's computer system was down so they told me to call the franchise office . A month later after being billed again, I found out that they had canceled the wrong person's account (apologies to that person who must have also experienced frustration ...). They credited me for their error but I was told that I could not be credited for a prior month because I canceled on the 1st of the month. Sapphire the sales associate and Lexie the district manager refused to adjust or bend the policy because "it was my mistake and not theirs". This tanning salon received 8 months of revenue for a package I forgot to cancel, but refused to honor my one month request because of their "policy". There are hundreds of tanning salons to choose from. Customer service and cleanliness are probably the 2 most important components of your reputation -- and this location failed completely. read more

These front desk girls are really knowledgable about their products. The salon's colors are relaxing and modern. The beds are always clean and there's usually not a wait. And you can't beat tanning packages at $20 a month! Love it. read more

Poor customer service and dirty beds. Finishing my month of tanning at another location and canceling instead of "freezing" my account because I won't be back. If you're trying to sell me a bottle of lotion that's 100 bucks maybe you shouldn't be so rude because you're making commission off of what I buy. And it was a "manager" who made the rude remark and sarcastic face. I'm sure other tanning salons that are clean and friendly will like my money more. read more

Best spa packages, I consistantly use the body wraps before my workouts and then come back for the beauty angel. The girls that work here are really nice and actually know about the products. I wish poway had a bigger location so they can have all the spa treatments and more levels for stand up but I still love this tanning/spa place! read more

I've been to many tanning locations over the years and poway is by far the best! Ashley was very informative on all of the products and services they offer. It seemed like a very busy day and she managed to show me all around and give me the information I needed, while also having to check in other clients. I came in wanting to just get some color before my trip and ended up signing up with the all inclusive membership! She made me feel so welcome and I'm so excited to try everything ! This is a great location. The assistant manager helped me the first time i went in and set me up with the perfect level of tanning (level 4) but all employees there have been unbelievably knowledgeable (which is very helpful because I'm new to the tanning scene), and sweet. Every time I'm in there its steadily busy and I'm expecting a ridiculous wait but they seem to always clean and rotate the costumers efficiently. This is an excellent tanning location. I got a special offer to try a couple of years ago, they were offering a free week to new customers and they upgraded me to a free month - any level. The catch is that I had to put a cc # down but I just set a reminder on my phone to cancel. I had a membership with all of the perks: any bed + any of their spa services. I wanted to try one of their wraps but never got around to it, only did the tanning. The tanning itself was great - very clean beds and nice, large private room where you can relax and tan. I got a little addicted to tanning that summer and have taken a break but if I decide to go back to tanning it will be at iTans in Poway. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The only thing I would change is that I personally prefer the stand-up booths but I would take this place over Hollywood Tans any day. read more

I went to the Poway iTAN today which has some new employees. I have been very impressed with both of them. I think Allison is a new employee but has picked things up very quickly. Sapphire has been nothing short of amazing! She is energetic, enthusiastic and definitely knows the product line. I wanted to get something for my wife, who also goes to the Poway Spa, and Sapphire knew exactly what to get for her.
