Really clean and nice place , staff was friendly , but they asked for my ID and then I already had gone their previous so asked for my address again even tho I gave them my ID , didn't know you needed an ID to get a spray tan lol the girl was really nice upfront but the non stop upselling was so uncomfortable I just wanted it to end , I don't know how many times you have to say no thanks to something . Sooooo unhappy!!!!! Sooooo mad!! Went in yesterday because I have an engagement shoot today. Splurged and got an airbrush tan because I needed an even tan and I don't trust mystic or versa. Needless to say I look a mess and am feeling very self conscious before this important photo shoot. I told the technician that I wanted to look natural, light tan and not too dark. I'm way darker than I would like to be. When I left I still felt damp and was afraid to get in my car. Didn't want the tan to get on my seats. The technician said that it should be fine and no one has complained about it transferring to the car seats. Well let's just say I'm glad I didn't trust her. Found a beach towel in my car and lined my seats. Good thing I did because the tan got all over the towel and my shorts I was wearing. I want a refund. I have an update. As you can see before I was very unsatisfied with my air brush results. I still am however, they made an exception for me and refunded my card. They wanted me to come back for another tan and I was not about that. The only weird thing is that I payed 58.99 and they refunded me 55.00. But what ever. At least they had decent customer service and refunded me. read more

Staff friendly for sure. But overall Use to be good Not great but newly forcing customers to go subscription or 25.00 per tan. Equipment constantly broken so why would you invest even if you had money to give monthly? No hot water in bathroom to wash hands properly or sanitary for either employee or client on going for years. read more

On July 3 around 2:30pm I did a Mystic Spray on tan and left my ruby ring in the tanning room on the shelf and when I returned the ring was missing. I absolutely love this place! My daughter and I were going to Vegas and we decided to get spray tans at the last minute on a Monday! We called around to several places but nobody had availability or were open. So we decided to try ITAN. We ended up getting the mystic sprays. The young lady that was there was very helpful she told us exactly what to get and what combination of formula works best for her. Our tans came out beautiful we were so happy! Two weeks later I decided to go back in for another one and I signed up for the monthly unlimited spray tans. I cannot express enough what a pleasant surprise it has been each and every time I have gone in. But tonight I had to say it was exceptional and finally the reason for this five star yelp!! I went in there tonight, (Sunday night when they close at seven) arriving at 6:55. I felt like they weren't going to let me do a spray tan... it would be too late... I have spray tanned here quite a bit, and liked it. I needed a last minute tan for a last min even. I usually leave and am dark and bronzed. Today when I walked outside, i did not look bronzed like I usually am. So went back inside. Showed the girl, she checked on computer to make sure what I purchased. She said "give it 4-6 hours" I said "i understand that. BUT came here for the instant dark bronze for a last minute event, tonight " She said "okay we'll wait until tomorrow and if it doesn't come in. Contact us. " I paid over $50 for a spray tan. Was very clear the bronzer did not work for some reason! I am not sure why I was not offered an immediate fix. I guess they fear some woman want to do it twice? I could self tan at home, and wait 4-6 hours. Needed fast color. Usually works beautifully, needless to say I won't be coming here for fast color again. Also, have been in their computer system for SEVERAL years. And never a complaint. When a repeat customer is not happy, please fix problem. Guess I will be tan for tomorrow to watch Netflix. Upon calling Conner at the Del Mar location, he stated they could provide a credit for use, but not a credit back to the card that was charged. I am so incredibly disappointed with this iTan. I went to get a spray tan today, and was waiting for my friend to finish hers. Me and my other friend were sitting in the waiting room, when a young man was approaching the front door from outside. It was obvious that this young man had a disability, and was even struggling to open the door because his arm seemed partially paralyzed. That's when a lady who worked there went to the door, but instead of opening it for him, she stood in front of it with it cracked. He said he wanted to drop off his resume and she said pretty loud and rudely, that they were no longer hiring. The young man walked away. The guy working behind the front desk told the girl she can still take people's resumes and she started to say "ya but that guy had like a..." then stopped herself realizing whatever she was saying was F'd up. She walked up the front desk and finished her sentence whispering. All I know is I wish I would have pieced what was going on quicker and stood up for that boy. That is called discrimination, and that is illegal. I feel horrible for that boy and that chick should be absolutely fired for her rude, judgmental, discriminating behavior. It wasn't a sales pitch they gave me that got me to buy the unlimited package, it was being informed of what they offer and if it would fit my needs. I love the beds. I've seen this location for years now (it was occupied by another tanning store before that as well). Never thought twice about this tanning place b/c 1) I go to another tanning place up the street and 2) this place looked a bit 'shady'. I recently found out they have a new client special. Tour, one tan, one spray tan and one spa option (used within 7 days). ..wait for it....for FREE...!!! Couldn't be true. Could it? So I stopped by and Brittni was the most gracious Tanning Consultant (don't laugh, I know, it sounds lame but that's what they're called I think). She took the time to show me the entire salon and answered all my questions about the equipment. A few things: - this place is N.I.C.E . Super clean and super organized - their elite tanning beds are spectacular. Remember when you were younger and you had that one *uber* rich friend that would drive a Porsche and you'd be driving a Honda. Well, that's what it felt like when I went there. They showed me their two elite tanning beds and I was in awe. - no up selling. Brittni needed to take my ID and digital fingerprint to give me a card and to confirm I've never used iTan. Other than that, she didn't pressure me to buy any of their packages or memberships. (I did inquire and she did go thru my options) I used my free tan on their premium 'Angel' tanning bed. It usually costs $30 a session. It's a customized tanning session that the tanning bed gives you (again, I know, don't laugh, it's hokey, but WHATEVER...it was free man). But this bed, jeez....it was so advanced (reads your skin ton to determine tanning settings, misters INSIDE , various music, lots of fans, etc). And it did give me a nice deep tan (note: this Angel bed is a full 20 minutes, you can't go above or below the 20 minutes). They have an anniversary special right now. Buy 6, get 6 free. I don't go to tanning salons often b/c they're really so expensive. But I must say, *that* is an amazing deal (along w/ the free tan/spray/spa thing I have right now). It definitely beats the current package deals at my current tanning place. I think this MIGHT be my new tanning place to go :) Thank you iTan! read more

DISGUSTING unclean establishment. Horrible billing practices. Fraudulent. Employees don't explain fees or packages correctly. They sign you up for what you didn't ask for and from what I've seen im not the only one. If you want them to steal your money go for it. But I'll never be back. I like that you can usually just walk in and there is always a tanning bed available even if they are busy, because they have many beds which are very clean and in good working order. They also have other services like weight loss beds and teeth whitening. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and Nick is especially great. read more

I used to have a membership to iTAN but cancelled it since the new apartment I moved into has an onsite tanning bed. I did love going to this studio since it was right down the street from my work. The staff was really friendly, the beds were clean and the products were great quality. I love the Sun Pro Session bed and the FIT Bodywrap. I've always been so happy with my spray tans here! I love the spa package. LOVE the heat body wrap. This is one if the three locations I find convenient. It's also very clean. I also want to point out the girls at the Point Loma location being extremely friendly and helpful. I love Mission Valleys location for the massage water machine. Del Mar's location has almost everything I need for the spa package, but the shopping center is great and am still happy with my package. read more
