We used Everlasting movers for a small move from a 1 br apartment on the peninsula to a house in the east bay. Communication with Michael was fast and easy. The two gentlemen who performed the move were very professional, wrapped and padded all of our furniture, were friendly, and were proactive about loading the truck to make unloading easier (I.e they loaded first the things that would be moved last so that they were in the back of the truck) They did a great job, didn't dally, and got right after it. I hired these guys based on the high-rating from customers, the price quote and the task in-hand (moving furniture between 3rd floor and 1st floor bedrooms). Michael responded promptly on Yelp, gave a clear-cut estimation of cost, confirmed the total that I computed based on his rate, and setup the appointment. The movers (2) arrived an hour into the window provided (3 to 5 PM), but didnt seem to know the task involved. Plus, they had limited understanding of/ ability to converse in English. With the use of Google translate, we got past that issue and got started quickly. It took them 2 hours exactly to finish the job of shifting bedroom and office furniture, and they did it very carefully, paying close attention to corners, small-spaces around the staircase. They removed their shoes and worked with their socks on (which can be a bit problematic on laminate / hardwood floors, but no trouble at all). All the dismantled furniture was put back together well, and ensured to be sturdy. They even covered the mattress in plastic wrap before moving it, and at the end they made sure to wash their hands to rid them off dirt before unwrapping the mattress and placing it on the bed. The movers were efficient, quick and were considerate of our requests for some accomodation while we tried rearranging the furniture. Overall, this was a very good experience with Everlasting Moving and we will be happy to recommend them to our friends and family. read more

Amazing! I move pretty frequently (6 times now since 2016) and this was the first time i hired movers. I was really nervous about the whole process but reading the recent reviews on yelp put me somewhat at ease. I had scheduled over yelp (and phone!) with Michael for Dec 20th ~ 8:30 to 9am. Yep right on time! My moving distance was only ~2 miles, and with 2 movers- it took 3 hours to get my 1 bedroom apartment furniture into the new place! Days before my move, I was debating on getting 3 movers instead but in the end I stuck with 2. I was so surprised on how efficient they were! At my old apartment, they had one guy packing up the furniture and then another guy putting it in the truck. I'm guessing the handoff was somewhere in the middle. There were only about 2-3 pieces of furniture of mine that really needed both of them present. My move confirmation was through yelp messaging. I believe I had booked them 2 weeks in advance at the time. Once they are on site, they will give you a quick one pager waiver and what time the move actually starts and location confirmation. Cash transaction only, once the move was completed. I would definitely hire them again for my future move (lol my 7th move wowza). Do not hesitate! read more

We had a great experience with Everlasting Movers. I contacted this company at the recommendation of a friend who had recently hired them, and heard back quickly. Scheduling the appointment was a breeze, and Michael Li whom I spoke to on the phone was super courteous and helpful. The day of, our three movers were professional and extremely efficient, getting to work right away and quickly clearing out the boxes we'd packed. They easily dissembled the bed and gently wheeled out the furniture. We appreciated how thorough and painstaking they were in shrink wrapping and padding the larger and more fragile items. They had no issues with the heavy items (a box of weights, plus boxes of printer paper). Unpacking everything at our new apartment went equally smoothly. The movers were so careful when bringing in the furniture, especially around the narrow hallway corners in our new place. Again, they wasted no time -- one after the other they came back in rolling our stuff on the hand trucks. They reassembled the bed quickly, which in itself was a major help! Our boxes and miscellaneous items, which they had shrink wrapped together in stacks for ease of transport, arrived in good condition and were still quite secured together. The suggested tip was $10 per hour per mover, but we ended up tipping significantly above that because we were so pleased with the service we received. If you hire them, you'll see what I mean! Hiring Everlasting Moving was the best decision I made for my move from San Jose to Oakland. I shopped around for at least 7 quotes before landing on this company. Michael Li was very responsive when I inquired about pricing, materials, process, etc. Max and Gao were the two movers who helped with my move. They made the entire process so east and were extremely efficient and careful with my belongings. They weren't at my apartment for 5 minutes before 8 boxes were already on the move to the truck. Max and Gao were able to move my dining set, shelving units, and L-shaped sit/stand desk with complete ease. They were clearly pros. End to end, the entire process was 4 hours, which included the 1-hr drive to Oakland. If I could give this company 10 stars, I would give 10! Not only were they super responsive from the beginning, they were also very flexible with me during my very complicated move. What was supposed to be a simple move, ended up being multiple changes on my behalf because of our landlord. We had to change the date last minute, change the time last minute, and more. The owners and movers were graciously understanding and made it work for us. The movers are very decent hardworking men. I don't even think I saw them stop for a minute to take a break. You don't feel like they purposely work slow to milk more money since it is hourly. It also was at a very reasonable price. They recommend to tip $10 per hour per mover, but please tip them extra. We couldn't be happier with Everlasting's services. Michael and his crew (Mr. Li and Mr. Xu) made our moving process smooth and stress-free. I requested a quote Yelp and was able to lock in our move-in date on a Friday morning. The two movers Li and Xu arrived on time with their big truck on site. I signed the check-in paper which recorded the start time. Right after they checked out our old place and asked what to be moved to the new place, they started the work without any delay. All the large pieces of furniture were carefully wrapped up. Bed was disassembled and reassembled. At our new place, they unloaded everything in order. A red carpet was laid out on the stairs so that our newly installed hardwood floor was being protected. Our entire move-in took about 3 hours including commuting time between the two places.
