I placed an online order for a make your own salad at Evergreens for the first time tonight and really enjoyed it! All of the ingredients were very fresh and I am glad they were able to accommodate my gluten-free needs by having a place to indicate allergies and dietary preferences on the online order form. Very easy to grab my salad off the shelves right next to the door. I was craving a Greek inspired salad and created my own salad with the red wine vinaigrette - delicious!! I gave two stars simply for the pre-Covid experiences with this company. I used to I love evergreens salads. Delicious, quality salads. Overpriced, yes but I go there until I can find a better priced place. Usually I order in but today I ordered take out. Unfortunately 1/2 of the staff I encountered that day were not completely wearing their masks. Just letting it hang down around their mouth. Seriously? During a Covid surge at that. I love the one on 48th, but this one? Yikes. The individual had to be prompted to go get ingredients (there was no romaine or arugula) and then couldn't figure out what went in the salads that we ordered. And for such an expensive salad, she filled the bowl halfway. The worst part though? She dropped a paper for a wrap on the floor, reached down to pick it up and throw it away and then went straight back to handling food. Great salads - plenty of options - kind of like Subway for healthy food! Cobb salad was delicious!!!

We tried this place for the 1st time today. It was a nice warm day and we didn't feel like a large lunch so decided on a salad. When we got there there were 2 small tables in front that had 2 employees with their Evergreen shirts on each at a different table yet sitting right next to each other and talking. I mentioned very casually to my wife while the person was ringing up our salads that it seemed a little odd that the employees were sitting out front taking the only 2 tables that were available to customers. She pretended not to hear me and didn't really make any acknowledgment. I'm just not sure what kind of business or restaurant like this would allow their employees to take their breaks utilizing the only tables available to their customers outside on such a beautiful day. Every employee in the place seemed to be a little clueless about what was really going on around them other than making salads. I will say the salad was good but a little pricey. I think with tip we paid $34 for 2 salads and 2 ice teas. Probably won't go back. read more

I have been waiting for this place to open since I first saw the signage. I finally had a chance to try it out today, and I am so glad that I did! It is located at Cedar Hills in between Wild Fin and Sharetea. You have the option of a salad, bowl, or wrap. They have a variety of options on their menu, but I decided to make my own bowl. I had a bowl with warm quinoa, black beans, beets, roasted corn, kale, spinach, arugula, hard boiled egg, red peppers, and green olives tossed in a coconut curry dressing. You can have as many toppings as you want. They do charge extra for avocado, but the rest of the veggie and fruit toppings are included. You can also select how much dressing you want. Your options are heavy, medium or light. The bowl was huge and only cost $9.00. The restaurant itself has a few tables inside, as well as some outdoor seating. It is clean and everything looked fresh. The girl who took my order was also friendly and courteous. She greeted me as soon as I walked in and was pleasant the entire time. It is nice to have healthy options in the area, and if you are in the mood for a salad, definitely check this place out! read more

Very very very sad to report this is only SIMILAR to garden bar. They say it's the same but trust me it's different. The quality of food seems slightly diff with certain ingredients and I know for a FACT the dressings aren't the same, they informed me the first day I went in after opening. Went in a few times and got a few different things over like a week, also tried a couple friends salads/wraps they got and just decided to give it a go since I miss garden bar so much but was just sad and disappointed in the end. I know if I didn't have expectation from garden bar previously I'd still say I'd be disappointed either way because I've tried a few of their dressings with the salads/wraps and I just can't seem to find any I enjoy. I'm not saying don't go here tho just because I didn't enjoy it as much as my usual garden bar over in the Beav, doesn't mean you won't find something you like. PS I miss the green goddess dressing and there's like no other ones that compare. The service was just ok. Also most of your rewards don't transfer over, you have to make a new account. read more

Went here for the first time today. I love the idea of building my own salad like I would a sandwich at subway. The topping seems super fresh and the variety was very good. The person helping us was informative and helpful. The salad was delicious! It was $27 (including tip) for my daughter and I. That is super steep for 2 salads. We will totally be back but probably say not to the $1 bread they offer at the end. read more

There many choices of salads and all looked good. Mine tasted great. The problem is with the line and the wait. It is a very small space, with not much room between the counter and the tables. The line was backed out the door, and there were two people making the salads. One appeared to be handling the phone-in order ahead items. We waited well over 20 minutes with only 3 or 4 people in front of us. read more

I just had the best salad! If you are looking for a solid healthy choice to go-this place is perfect. I had The Superbowl with kale and cilantro lime dressing substitutions. We also got the kale Caesar- also delicious! You can preorder on line or on the app but the employees were awesome- pleasant and helpful so I enjoyed ordering as a walk up. I absolutely love this place food wise. They have a great selection and it's exactly the type of salad place I have been looking for. With that being said, every single time I have gone here, which is now a total of 6 times, the employees are extremely rude to me. I try to ask questions and they always have the worst attitude. I work in the customer service industry so I always try to be nice and understanding because I get it, but at this point I'm debating whether or not I even want to come back to this place despite how much I love the food. Managers or whoever is in charge, really needs to instill some better customer service etiquette within their employees. read more

I love me a good solid salad, and Evergreens brings it. Unquestionably. With that in mind, there are a couple of reservations that I have about the place. First, the franchise has always seemed like it's dipping it's toe in the market - never fully committing itself to "The Salad Biz" wholeheartedly. They seem like they're legit when it comes to their presentation and how they go about their business, but it's WHEN they do their business that I have heartburn with. Their salads are mostly good in terms of the variety, and they change 'em up fairly regularly, but it's their hours that I object to. They close at 7 PM which is about an hour too early for anyone considering a salad for their evening meal. I can't imagine that many more people eat their evening meal at 6 PM than 7 PM so I've never quite understood why 7.....if they're not getting sufficient business in the evenings then shut in the early afternoon. Why 7?!?!, Also, they have been closed more than open for the short duration of existence in my locale. They delayed their opening due to the 'rona which is totally comprehendible, but then they opened and shut down a couple of months later because of the potentially 'dangerous' environment of the disease as the situation got worse in the Fall. Again, I get it, but the open closed open closed thing combined with the hours mentioned previously makes me feel like maybe the real reason is that store just isn't producing the numbers they want first and foremost, and THAT is why they shut down temporarily. I sent a letter to them suggesting that other businesses are making their product on a takeout basis and doing quite well so why the extra precaution? They rolled over with what appeared to be a garbage form letter, "It was with a heavy heart that we made the decision to shut down our store until Spring," and yet, the Seattle locations are open so.........?????? Until they start showing up for work, I'm not putting them in my rotation. We're both worse off for it, but sorry. read more
