First time trying their food and I would say it was alright. I ordered the Lamb Arabi for $14.99. The portion was reasonable and it was made on the spot along with a side of fries that were good. However, it didn't look appetizing because ketchup bags were just thrown into my freshly made, hot food. I don't find that sanitary at all. The down side of the lamb arabi was that it got saltier and saltier. The cheese inside made the dish extra heavy and filling very quickly so after 2 pieces I got a bit full. I guess I could've omitted that. The one who took my order/made the food looked like he was not in a good mood, I hope things will get better!

Today, I needed a plethora of flavours and just the right amount of food and tired from the week, after search and thought, I started and ended with my all-time favourite AMAZING GYRO!! Fresh! Full of meat and sauce and veggie (plus feta and pickles and proper sauce!) so delicious every time! THANK YOU FROM CHELSEA!I'll come see you in person soon! (Order the lamb wrap as I type this. Can't wait!)... a short time later after arrival - I am not sure I chewed so much as inhaled - it was PERFECT PER USUAL!!! Thank you!!! Yum!! (I know I have done it before in person.. I want to say that I order it often. Because it is very tasty and healthy. My favorites: dolma and chicken. The most important thing is that everything is fresh and tasty. The atmosphere is pleasant. The order is taken with a smile and care.

The foot long Falafal Wrap at Amazing Gyro is what brings me out to these food carts. Falafal can be dry but this comes with a delicious garlicy sauce that's got just a little heat (if you ask for it.) So never dry. Add some tomato, lettuce and pickle and fry it in the wrapper. Maybe not quite as many vegetables as the pita version, but it's consistently delicious. My partner usually gets the chicken wrap, so that must be good too. The only negative is that if you get there too late, sometimes they are out of falafal. So get there before 7. Aside from this, service is good. Ambiance? Well it's a food cart. I'm there for the food, not the decor.

We got the chicken arabi wrap with fries. The wrap itself was thinner (and not like those pita wraps or tortilla wraps), just the way I love it. Everything was pretty spot on. Personally I felt it could have held back on the pickles. The pickle quantity was a little too much than I prefer. Overall a pretty good place and I'll definitely be back to try more.

I ordered the lamb gyro and it was good! The pita and lamb were super tender. I feel that the lamb could be salted/flavored a bit more and there was a tiny bit too much sauce. But otherwise the lamb gyro is on point.

Amazing Gyro had the BEST GYRO I HAVE EVER HAD! I went to the food truck village as a back up plan after the other restaurant that we were going to was booked full. What a stroke of luck. I know that it's a food truck and it doesn't look overly amazing, but eat there, trust me! The service was fast, the employee was friendly and they stayed open until the food truck village closed a over half of the other trucks were closed. They accept card or cash at the truck. They offer a variety of food from wraps to Gyros to falafel. They also have variety of meets including chicken, lamb, and beef. I got the lamb gyro which was $10, but worth it! They offer it topped with hot sauce, garlic sauce and feta cheese. I did not get the hot sauce but did get the rest. The Gyro was big, hot, fresh, and the flavors popped! There was a nice crisp to the lamp and all of the ingredients were so fresh. The next time I'm in Portland I WILL make a trip to Beaverton for the best Gyro around. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Rating from F to A+++ I rate it A+++!

The thing that impresses me most, is the portion size at Amazing Gyro. My go to order is always a wrap, but the arabi dishes are also great. Wraps are FOURTEEN inches long, and can easily feed two. Even the Arabi plates, which are essentially a wrap cut into a few pieces along with fries can feed 1.5-2 people. The meat is so flavorful and moist too. You can also count on being able to exchange a few kind words too, no matter how busy they are. Definitely say yes for the spicy garlic sauce too!

I come from a Middle Eastern background, so eating gyro(shawarma) is very common. I was so surprised when my sister had ordered this and when I saw it, it reminded me of the sandwiches I would eat in Jerusalem. The sandwich was perfectly wrapped and had the perfect texture of crispness. The flavor of the chicken was phenomenal and the pickles that came in that sandwich gave it that extra oomph it needed. I was shocked when I saw that the sandwich had fries in it, it was just an explosion of flavors. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the Beaverton area to give it a try. I came from California, where I would eat gyros often, but this beat every single gyro I have ever had. Give it a try and order the chicken Arabi. You will not regret it.

From a true gyro connoisseur, this is an Ok gyro. It's not bad, but also not great. The ratio of meat to veg is off (way too much lettuce). It also has very thin gyro meat you can see in the photos that are like slices you can buy at the store vs the thick electric serrated knife cut chunks I prefer. The thicker meat gives more flavor of the herbs when you bite in, but this has way Too much veg. The bread should also be toasted or grilled. It was soft so likely warmed. I will try the other gyro cart next time. If you want the best gyro in Portland (though their hours are horrible) make the effort to go to Cedos on MLK. It will change your life. Would I order a gyro here again? Probably not, whip is why I gave it two stars. I figure other items here are likely better. And the improvements would be pretty simple. Nice service. Great ambiance when the weather is nice outside. read more

I absolutely love this place. Kind staff amazing food. Great little food cart in an awesome food card pod. Even though there are many great options in this food cart pod, i always go with a spicy lamb wrap from amazing gyro. So so good. And the servings are generous. My wife always gets the lamb gyro or lamb over salad. Great ambiance. Theres a turf lawn for dogs and kids to run around on. The staff goes above and beyond. Last time we went they gave us a free drink. Really kind. read more

Unfortunately not so good. We came here a year ago and it was great! Came back today and it wasn't the same. Both dishes we got were not so good. Lamb gyro and falafel. Fries were dry with no salt. The odd thing to me was my falafel had some yellow sauce not tsatsiki and no feta, it came with pickles! read more

In terms of Portland food, this truck is pretty mid. I got the lamb over salad, which came with a spicy red sauce and smothered in a garlicky white sauce. It had lettuce, white onion, tomatoes, and...stuffed green olives? Not what I expect or want in my Mediterranean food. Lamb was ok but wasn't very flavorful or texturally appealing. This place was delicious. I had the falafel gyro and my husband had the wrap. Both were fresh and flavorful with delicious tangy and spice laden flavors. Not too oily either, which can sometimes happen with falafel. 10/10 recommend. read more

Very underwhelmed! Dill pickles on a Gyro?!! Absolutely not and just didn't love it. Way too much white feta cream stuff and flavor balance and as OFF. Had to remove at least 15 dill pickles. Never have I ever. Sorry, wanted to love it after all the GLOWING reviews but was left perplexed and bewildered with a dill aftertaste in my mouth. read more

I defiantly agree with the name of this place out of all the food trucks in this little area I am happy this was what I picked. So I honestly didn't mean to order the gyro fries I just wanted a gyro and fries I ordered a chicken gyro and fries but got lamb gyro fries and was very happy with what happened because they were amazing. The portion was huge and had so much meat I couldn't eat it all. read more

I was excited as a returning customer from a beef and rice that was amazing. However, upon asking for a great recommendation as a second try. The man with colored beard strongly recommended the chicken and lamb over rice, extra meat. I also ordered a chicken over rice for my father. Said thank you and left a 30% tip. The chicken was SUPER dry. Like it was cooked hours earlier and left in an oven to dry out. I am embarrassed to serve my family this. I feel suckered by staff to eat the dry remains of the morning when it was dinner time! read more

Got to try this place today, and tried to get the triple meat plate. They were out of beef so they doubled up on the chicken and lamb. Lamb was very tasty but was so uniform it didn't look like it came from a spinning cone of meat. I wouldn't get the chicken shawarma again, it was VERY sweet!!! This spot is a must try! The portions for one meal last two days and are well worth the price! Quality of each dish as a whole is outstanding . The chicken for the shawarma/chicken arabi is so tender and juicy, and wrapped around the most fresh bread! Literally tasted straight out of the oven. Sooo delicious!! The owner Saad who greets you at the stand is extremely friendly , along with the cook as well! Super lovely staff, super refreshing halal food. Definitely one of the best lamb gyros I've ever had. They had a pretty good menu with lots of options and quick and friendly service. I'd highly recommend. Plus that gyro was huge! At first I thought $9.99 was a little expensive, but then I saw the size of it and understood. Great spot! read more

During our conversation I learned it's a family operation, the man with the baby was her husband and daughter. Mila Thai has been in business for about a year, and the food truck is named after their daughter, Mila. She also mentioned they have a website: Milathai.square.site and we could order directly from them to avoid the extra fees. I'm all in for supporting local business and I will order via their site next time. When I got home, I devoured the food and the iced tea immediately. The Thai iced tea was fragrant and creamy, yum. The Pad See Ew was still piping hot and the noodles were bouncy and al dente. The flavor was on the mild side, as I did ask for mild because I cannot really handle spicy food. I think it could have used a bit of spice and a little more basil. Overall, I think Mila Thai is very endearing and I'd like to try more of the menu next time.

Even though their menu had a lot of different flavors to choose from, it was all the same things. The flavors were all on the bland side and it was expensive for what you get. Being chinese myself, I do hope they do well though in this market!

Hello, I was so glad our family group decided on eating "at BG's Food Carts" today! I chose the lamb wrap with fries, I was so glad I did! Great folks at the truck, and such delicious food! My lamb gyro was generous and the garlic sauce was fantastic on it! Even the fries were great! I have a complaint on many places fries, they are to greasy and you end up getting "shards" of over cooked pieces! My fries here were perfectly cooked and approx. 4-5" long, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside! The food was placed nicely in my tray. I now have my "favorite" place. I will be back! "Amazing Gyro" is one of the best food carts offered in Portland. The array of Middle Eastern choices & fantastic gyros will, hands down, have your mouth watering just looking at the menu. I recently ordered the lamb gyro... one of the best gyros I've ever had in my life. With some of the freshest ingredients, the owner, Hussain, will make sure you walk away with an experience and a culinary treat that WILL leave you extremely satisfied. Excellent food every time! We usually order the lamb or chicken arabi, which is a generous portion of food with a nice side of french fries. The spicy garlic sauce is delicious, and the fries have an excellent seasoning that goes well with the meats.
