Hadn't been here in a while so I decided to pick up some kebabs and I am very sorry to say that what used to be an authentic persian kabob has fallen from grace. The one star is out of pure disapointment. If you look at the photos on yelp and google, you can see the difference. The plump, flavorful, and moist skewers from older photos are no more. What was once a delcious hand made skewer is now an unfortunate shadow of what it once was. You used to be able to taste the love and effort in their food, and now all I could taste was the lack of it. Frankly, i felt betrayed by the difference between what was advertised and what I got. I hope they can go back to serving the food they used to. I came here on a Friday night and it was pretty empty, but that didn't mean anything when it came to the food! The mixed plate I got had chicken and beef and the chicken by far was the best grilled chicken I've ever eaten! The sauce complimented it well and the rice was immaculate! One of the more hidden gems in Beaverton situated in the West End District set of apartments on Murray and TV Highway. I'm a sucker for lamb shanks and they do a great job here. It's enough to feed two. They appear to get quite a bit of takeout orders, but luckily, every time we've come seating was ample. If I crave anything Mediterranean, this is one of the places in Beaverton I always consider. As clearly advertised, they are more Iranian Persian and I'm all for it. Did not know what to expect when I went in yesterday. Got an entree with ground beef and lamb meat; it was cooked perfectly and pair well with the rice/salad and grilled veggies. Atmosphere is small and clean, perfect for a date or some friends. Service was excellent; friendly and will give recommendations if you don't know what to get. My daughter and I came here today and I must admit that I was a little skeptical as it is "hidden" in the "West End" of Beaverton - an assortment of apartments and small retail stores. We were the only customers on an early Saturday afternoon which is a red flag in many cases - but came away very a very favorable impression. We had the naan -served hot and fresh - with hummus done right. We both ordered the beef/lamb kabob with rice and a small amount of yogurt. The meat was well cooked and tender. We shared the baklava which was drenched in honey. Yum. The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean with some outside dining. Will come back to some other menu items. read more

What am I missing? All these 5 reviews... I gotta be missing something? The babaganoush, though super garlicky, was just smashed chunks of eggplant. I know this is a style, but wasn't my cup of tea. It needed tahini and lemon, quite badly. We also got the jujeh and the kubideh as well as the falafel. A decent spread to try most things, and everything lacked flavor. I did appreciate that it wasn't oily, but salt / seasoning was completely lacking. $69 for everything too. The place was unsurprisingly empty. Service was great, and incredibly friendly so giving 2 stars but there's far far better Mediterranean in the area. read more

After riding past the signs for some time, we finally decided to stop in. It's not a table service sort of place, but it's clean. We looked over the menu and decided on hummus plus chicken kebabs. This is a tough competitive environment, because there are superb hummus and kebab options with a relatively short distance. The hummus was all right, but not as good as the really good place, and cost more to boot. It was actually slightly fluid, enough to settle in the tub. Not used to that in hummus, and wouldn't have been a big deal by itself. Pitas were all right, liked them. The kebabs were also all right, but not up to the competition, and also cost a bit more. Service polite and friendly enough, no issues there. We probably will not return, not because it was bad but because we have excellent options that are very price-competitive. My guess is that this is very expensive space and they have to charge more. After all, it comes with a massive apartment complex wrapped around it, so that's an automatic foot traffic funnel. read more

Stopped here on a rainy Thu night, we were the only customers eating in. Still, the owner and chef completely warmed the space. They recommended the Kubideh platter, the beef and lamb kabob. I opted for the salad instead of rice for $2 more. The kabob was so tender and delicious subtle flavor and hot Persian tea rounded out the meal. Caspian Kabob started as a food cart in Mississippi Ave in Portland. Today they are a full-service restaurant in the newly developed West End District off Murray Blvd in Beaverton. We stopped for lunch with the goal of trying every type of kabob they offer... we tried Kubideh (seasoned ground beef and lamb), Jujeh (chicken breast) and Barg (filet mignon). All kabobs were served with basmati rice topped with saffron. The rice was cooked to perfection without being sticky. The kubideh kabob was just as I remembered from the food cart days... moist and full of flavor... melts in your mouth. The jujeh kabob was tender and juicy with a hint of saffron and lemon. The Barg kabob was flavorful and tender. As much as it was fun to stop at the food carts for kabob, I think it's even nicer to be able to sit and enjoy the meal in a restaurant setting... rain or shine! Shaved lamb/beef meat with right balance of hummus, tahini, onions, tomatoes and lettuce. The fries were so good, lightly seasoned with some flavored salt. Falafel had good flavor, light texture, but smaller than I usually get at other places. Owner was very nice and accommodating to my indecisiveness when ordering. Parking was easy. Went to this establishment with very high expectations based on the online reviews. The owner or the lady taking the orders was super kind and welcoming, and while taking my order she already warned me that I'd have to wait 15-20 mins for my order as they were super busy on Saturday afternoon. I had no problem with that. When she brought the food to my table, even then she was apologetic about it. Really loved her courteous and kind nature. Now coming to the food, I ordered a plate of Kubideh Kabob. While the meat itself was quite fresh, juicy and succulent, I would have liked it better if the kabob had been seasoned and spiced more. The kabob was a little bland for my taste. I would rate the dish above average, a solid 3/5 but I have definitely had much better Persian kabobs elsewhere.
