Evergreen Tree Care just trimmed a redwood, removed several small trees and pruned a lemon tree! Unbelievable job. I am so pleased with the work. No hatchet job here, all done with remarkable consideration of privacy and esthetics . Paige, the arborist, on site, her crew fantastic. Cannot recommend this tree care company highly enough. Oh, and did I mention, very reasonably priced . read more

We had a few back and forth issues but Christian and Paige were very proactive about making me happy and in the end. They came highly recommended from Kielty Arborists Services, a dear friend we totally trusted and I would also recommend for work in San Mateo County. We moved to Brentwood and didn't know where to begin. Evergreen came through and planted a number of good plants for us. We will be needing more and we will go back to them! read more

Evergreen Tree Care's people did a great job on my property! This was the first time I hired them and plan to engage them for a regular tree upkeep. In addition to tree trimming, pruning, and removal, they did a lot of underbrush removal. One particularly misshapen oak tree got a new lease on life by one of the ETCs arborists. Each of the two days, they arrived on time and left only after cleaning the site. I could not be more pleased with the company, the people, and their professionalism and knowledge. read more

Great experience pruning several big trees for safety. Knowledgeable and highly professional arborists. Will work with ETC again next time!

I recently made the mistake of buying a house in Brentwood that has a ton of trees on it - LOL! These trees have apparently not been taken care of in quite a while, and they needed LOTS of work, including two large trees that needed removing plus stump grinding. Gary Sr. came out and gave his expert advice and very reasonable quote on how much the work would cost. Scheduling the work was a breeze, and the office staff were very helpful over the phone during the entire process. The day of the work, Gary Sr sent two crews out and met them here to give them an overview of all the work required. The crews did a great job and were finished and everything cleaned up in about 6 hours. I know that going forward these trees will need regular maintenance, and I plan on working with ETC to set up a regular maintenance (pruning, trimming, topping, etc) schedule. (Now I just need a good psychiatrist to help me understand why I bought a house with so danged many trees on it, haha!) read more

We contacted Gary to get consultation about building an ADU near two different types of trees and he was extremely knowledgable and helpful. Responded quickly, made recommendations, and pointed out preliminary observations about the trees (e.g. how one side of the tree seemed distressed) even just from a couple photos. read more

They are responsible, timely and have passion for best care so that your trees look great !

On time. Cleaned up. Knew exactly what needed to be accomplished, so the trees would grow out evenly.

Easy to get in touch with and very responsive. Jared came out the next day with a free consult expertly evaluating our situation, giving us much needed advice, and explaining that we don't need to do anything more than a little patience with our tree. He also advised us on a few other problem trees and plants on our property. It's such a relief when a business gives excellent honest advice and doesn't try to sell anything that is not needed. We tried to pay Jared for his time but he refused, explaining that he was happy to be of help. I'm definitely keeping his card for whenever I need an arborist or garden help of any kind. The company is WONDERFUL!!! read more

We had a different company trim one of our trees and they took off a lot... too much! So when we needed just a few things done to our redwood, we reached out to Evergreen Tree Care. They were responsive, clearly understood what went wrong with our other tree and what needed to be done with our redwood, and provided a fair estimate. They performed the work quickly, took pictures while they were up in the tree and explained what they did and why it was beneficial, and then quickly cleaned up. I will be using them for all my tree needs going forward. read more

We have used Evergreen Tree Care for all of our tree care needs and have never been disappointed. We needed to have a large 50 foot high pear tree removed before redoing the front landscaping. Chris and a co-worker removed the tree and had the entire area cleaned up in two hours. Very professional and the price was right. Matt came and did the stump and root removal and did an excellent job. We would not use any other company. They are the best! We highly recommend them for any tree care needs. read more

I cannot recommend Gary and his crew enough. We have used them a few times over the past 10 years and they are always reliable, professional and reasonably-priced. Yesterday we had the top half of a live oak break off and fall onto our road, partially blocking it. I emailed Gary last night and he came out this morning to assess. Since it was a relatively small job he was able to have his crew come out today and take care of it in about an hour when I wasn't even here. They even saved me some money by fitting the job between other work already scheduled for the day. Between my initial email and the work done it was about 16 hours. That level of service can't be beat. If you ever need tree work done, call Evergreen Tree Care, you won't be disappointed! read more

Professional estimate, great service with excellent team. Highly recommend! Cleaned up well after doing a big job at our home.

I reached out to many local tree trimmers after discovering a large broken branch lodged in my large valley oak. This was something that needed taken care of sooner rather than later. Gary came by the next day, gave me a reasonable estimate and it was taken care of that afternoon. I was totally impressed with the promptness of response, the quality of work, and the cost. It was taken care of quickly, professionally, and with no mess or damage. I will definitely be using them in the future! read more

We highly recommend this company. They are honest and do great work. We had an issue and it was resolved in a professional and quick manner. Gary senior the owner was great to talk to, very knowledgeable about trees and resolved all our concerns about our tree. The crews are professional and knowledgeable as well. The job site was left very clean. Christina from the office was awesome as well. Great family owned business and we will definitely use them again. read more

Work crew did a fantastic job. I had one tree removed and one tree shaped. All crew paid attention to safety wearing masks, helmets, put traffic cones on street. They were professional and fast workers. Cleaned up finished. read more

Gary, Jared and crew are the benchmark for their profession. For several years they have maintained our trees and we have been impressed by their professionalism, reliability, courtesy and fairness. But I would get mildly annoyed when they would have to delay trimming for a week or so due to an "emergency." Now I understand. One of our huge oaks fell on the bedroom. At 5 am. Gary was there at 8 am. Our major and tricky removal project was completed thoughtfully and with care, promptly and neatly. Where there we alternatives we discussed them. They did what they said, when they said, for the estimate they provided. Who could ask for more? read more

Evergreen Tree Care is the best in the business. They came highly recommended by experts in the tree care community, and so I expected they may be overpriced and too busy (as so many coveted vendors are). However, they swooped in when we were in the really tough position of losing the 200 year old oak tree growing through our deck, and their 5-star level of service made all the difference throughout the painful removal process. Gary, Jared and their team were incredibly professional, responsive, warm and caring, and very reasonably priced. Moreover, I completely trusted them with our home and property during this very complicated but ultimately necessary removal. They were creative and so smart in coming up with solutions. They worked with us to make sure we were comfortable with each step along the way. And they executed the work perfectly and probably saved us hundreds of thousands of dollars in repair work for our home in the end. We would and will hire them again without hesitation for future tree care needs. read more

One of the best tree crews I have every employed. Fast, efficient, timely and very professional. The entire crew was courteous, accommodating, and tackled the job with no hesitation. They hit the ground running with each man knowing what needed to be done. Very organized and an excellent crew that worked together as a team. I was very impressed with both the work and the strong team spirit. A+++, I will definitely use theses folks again in the future. read more

This is a family run business. Very professional. Returned my call promptly and came right out for an estimate. They were able to do the work the following morning. I had a broken limb caught up in the tree needing urgent attention. They took care to not damage surrounding plants or objects. Moved a few things and took the care to put them back after they raked up. They removed all the debris and left no trace of being there other than a safe tree with the precarious branch removed. They gave my huge cedar tree an inspection and recommended the needed trimming which will be done in the future as this is the wrong time of year to trim a cedar tree. Very knowledgable certified arborist. Gary knows his stuff. His wife, Linda in the office is very friendly as is Gary Jr. Jarrod, Gary's other son was my tree trimmer and he was quick and professional. Arturo moved all limbs out to the mulcher and left the yard raked neat and clean! Nice company. They will do a good job for you! read more

I am impressed. My tree looks great, lots of "tree wisdom" and "customer wisdom" in the family business, run by professionals. I recommend them. They were able to help quickly. They have a good reputation, and they deserve it. read more

Very Professional Very accommodating our timeline and requests. Friendly workers. Excellent work, left place better than it was before they came. read more

This company has done an excellent job of pruning our trees and removing old trees for years. I once watched them remove a large tree from a very small area in a back yard without damaging any of the fences, etc. A difficult job that they did well. read more

Great job, very knowledgeable. After getting bids to trim our 250-year-old Champion oak tree that stands at about 75 feet, Gary and his team were about the same price as the other quality tree trimming services. However, instead of a 4-day job they were in and out in a day. They were careful of the tree, house and lawn and the tree still looks awesome. This is truly a family-run business, Gary and both his sons were 60 feet up in our tree at the same time! read more

Gary was very helpful, knowledgable and professional. He came out on very short notice and helped us. I would definitely call him again if I need an arborist. read more

Very unprofessional!!! My husband called a few weeks ago, was told we would get a call back from Gary to make an appointment for an estimate. NEVER HAPPENED. I called earlier this week, not knowing my husband had already called this particular company. Gary mentioned that my husband had called and confirmed our information, told me that he would have someone out on Friday and would call to set up a time. AGAIN, NEVER HAPPENED. So unprofessional. Needless to say, we already found someone else. Will NOT recommend this company to anyone. Looking at their other reviews, there seems to be an inconsistency in their service and follow thru. Good luck Evergreen Tree Care read more

I called on a Friday and left a message. I received a call back the following Tuesday, which was fine. With the weekend, I didn't mind the few days to get a call back. But then I was told someone would drive by, do a visual and put together a quote and that I would receive it if not at the end of the week, then by Tuesday the following week at the latest. It's now Thursday and I never heard back from anyone. read more

I spoke with the lady on the phone for tree removal in Dec 2014. She said they will call back in a couple of days and will send someone over to take a look at the tree. As today 2015 Jan 7, I have not heard from them. They are very unprofessional, I plan to call other place for tree removal. read more

I have discussed several tree companies and unsatisfied with their prices and proposals until I talked with Evergreen Tree Care. My friends reminded me to read the negative reviews before I signed the contract with them. I think I made the right choice after the arborist Gregg came over a couple of times for the estimation. Two weeks ago, they cut our five big trees and trimmed the other trees. I shared my good experience with my friends and neighbors. I will say that Evergreen Tree Care is such an efficient and a professional tree company. Whether Gregg or the team, they did an awesome job! read more

We have used Gary and his crew for almost 20 years. They know trees and they apply that knowledge in the care of trees, including trimming and removal when necessary. On the job, Gary's crew is professional and courteous. They are very efficient, do a good job in a short time; they cleaned up the job site extremely well. One more thing I really appreciate: they put safety first in their jobs - for them and for the client. read more
