I have to say that moving is NEVER fun and it gets harder with each move! But, with Everest Moving, their honesty, strength, kindness and fair pricing, hits it out of the park! David, the Owner is so amazing and helpful! Talk about great communication skills too. Him and his crew knows how to work your furniture and boxes like they were puzzle pieces. We literally maxed out his Moving Van and just watching them carefully handling our furniture made me so happy to see! The Crew seems to get along so well and are genuinely happy to help you. They are all SO crazy strong!!! I wouldn't hesitate to use David and his crew, Anton, Gavino and Edgar in a heartbeat again and would highly recommend them for all your moving needs! read more

Alert!!! Watch out this moving company!!!! They are fake, and thefts!!! Spreading this around our community for our safety!! 1) They opened the drawer and stole my mom's money. My mom cried in front of them since it's her long time used wallet and her saved money, they said they don't know anything. 2) The owner told me himself that you can buy reviews... 3) They arrived 30 minutes late, and took 1 and half hours break time. We need to let everyone know that NEVER use this company!! read more

Everest Moving & Storage - Movers Near Me

Prompt, reliable, and affordable. Easy to work with. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Most moving companies get a bad rap: either they're late, up charges you all the time, breaks your stuff, rude, or if nothing else just plain expensive. David is nothing of the sort. He's on time, careful, reasonably priced, is a good communicator, almost forgot to charge us, flexible, and also just a nice guy (since you are going to be stuck in a house for hours with him so that's rather important). read more

Everest Moving & Storage - Movers Near Me

David was on time, a great communicator, and so kind! He moved a bed out from my 4th floor apartment.

It has been a fantastic experience moving with Everest Moving & Storage. It was easy to get a price quote, and the process and rates were transparent. They were on time, efficient, friendly, and respectful. They were careful with furniture and wrapped them appropriately (but not so excessively that it eats into moving time). They were fast and organized with all the boxes, and moved them in large batches without damaging the residence or boxes. It was a great experience moving with Everest, and I highly recommend them! read more

David and his colleague assisted me with unloading my moving truck and taking the furniture to an upstairs apartment. They were friendly, professional, and speedy, and handled my items with care (which was no easy task, with very large items on a narrow staircase). Communication and scheduling were also great. When they were going to arrive a little later than expected, David gave me a call to give an update which I really appreciated. Thank you guys! read more

David and crew were EXCEPTIONAL! We contacted them at about 7pm on Sunday night and they were in action the very next day at about noon! Ridiculously impressive. They were friendly, professional, got the job done safely yet quickly, and charge fair & transparent pricing. They hand-carried a hot tub over rough/uneven terrain without direct access for a moving truck. So much respect for these dudes, their work ethic, and their integrity. Highly recommend Everest Moving & Storage!!! read more

TLDR; go with David and his team. This is our second move with him and he has gone above and beyond again. Note that all those one star reviews you see ARE NOT his company. It's a different company and it's really sad that they're getting impacted for something that's no fault of their own. I have high expectations and trust me when I say that David is the best when it comes to moving. This is my second time moving with David and I'm crying right now because David and Cesar both did such an amazing job with my move. Moving is so stressful, but they were both so sweet and personable. I had so many good conversations with David and you can tell he treats your stuff well and takes his job seriously. I kept telling him to leave stuff and not to worry about wrapping some of my furniture, but he said he can't do that because he wants to make sure all of my stuff is protected. I did such a bad job with protecting my stuff and honestly was fine with it getting damaged as a part of the move, but David went above and beyond to make sure everything was wrapped properly and got to its final destination without any issues. The amount of time they save you, I can't believe the rates they charge. It's so low when you think about all the work that goes into moving. I wouldn't trust anyone else except David with my move. His work ethic, attitude and overall thoughtfulnesses is unparalleled to anything else. I can write an entire novel about the positive experience I've had with David but I think you get the point. If you want a headache free move, go with David. I promise you won't be disappointed. read more

Thank you, great work - arrived at time and high quality work! Helped with a small job and was flexible on the pricing.

David is amazing! I am very impressed with him and everyone at Everest Moving and Storage (CA). This was my first time hiring movers and I was so stressed because many of my friends have been scammed by movers in the Bay Area but David was so genuine and kind to me. He and his team came on time, moved everything so fast and the quote he gave me was EXACTLY what I paid, no hidden costs or charges. I had 25 heavy boxes, and a bunch of bulky items including a bed, a fridge and a complicated couch and they carried everything up 3 flights of stairs and didn't take any breaks. They also didn't scratch or break any of my things! I'm so happy I chose Everest Moving and Storage (CA) and I will choose them for every move in the future. If you're scared of being taken advantage like I was, please reach out to David and he will give you peace of mind and make moving less stressful for you. I wish I could give them 10 stars. Please note that this is Everest Moving and Storage located in California, NOT Florida. The Florida guys are scammers and are not affiliated with David or his team. Be sure you're calling a California number when you're booking Everest Moving and Storage to avoid getting scammed by a completely different company in Florida. read more

Super fast and handled everything with care!! I highly recommend them and will use them for my next move.

All I can say is THANK YOU to Everest Moving for the care and effort put into completing my move today. David provided great communication from the quote through the completion of my move. David and Gabino arrived at the scheduled time, moved quickly, and had a positive, friendly energy the entire time. I had a lot of things and furniture, plus four flights of stairs. They were ROCK STARS!! I highly recommend Everest Moving! read more

Huge thanks to David for helping to move a Yamaha upright piano from SF to the South Valley. This was 300-500lbs. They wrapped up the piano nicely for protection, had tools to get the piano down a flight of stairs, and were super responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. Very competitive pricing and easy to work with. Highly recommend them to move anything you need! read more

Moved between 2 storage units in town. David was flexible in scheduling which was helpful because there was only 1 day I could do it. I found out that he was doing the move himself alone because his crew had already planned the day off after recent big jobs. I admired his commitment to both flexible scheduling and in treating his crew well. I could tell that customer satisfaction and a job well done were very important to him. He did the job fast and efficiently, nothing was broken, etc. The price was also better than some other competitors who gave me quotes. I plan to use Everest on my next move. read more

David was terrific. So patient with my Elderly Mother and myself. Moved her from a lg. room and then the rest of her things from storage. Price was reasonable. And well worth every penny. Mom is so happy to have all her belongings in her new apartment. Couldn't have done it without him. Thank you, David read more

I highly recommend David for your moving needs. The job was to move a very heavy chair up 1 floor. David responded quickly on Yelp, provided the most reasonable estimate, came the same day, and with herculean-strength picked up the chair and moved it upstairs. In the process, a laptop stand attached to the chair broke. David took it upon himself to fix it, and returned it fixed 48 hours later. Incredible! Amazing integrity and a sense of responsibility. read more

David responded to my inquiry quickly with a flat rate to move some heavy exercise equipment from an upstairs room to a downstairs room. I had some logistical issues and had to reschedule once, but David was very flexible and accommodating. On the day of the move, two friendly, strong gentlemen showed up right on time. They were able to get the equipment exactly where I needed it. I'm not sure I would have been able to move it on my own, so I'm glad they came and did it for me. Definitely keeping Everest Moving & Storage in mind for any future moving needs. read more

This was my second time working with Everest Moving & Storage, and each time, the team has gone above and beyond! Upon reaching out to request my most recent move, David remembered the move he did for me 4 years ago, which was a pleasant surprise! He and company do an amazing job moving belongings efficiently and with care. They even assembled a bed set for me which was not part of the move. You don't need to look anywhere else when looking for a moving company for your needs. They have a repeat customer for as long as I live in the Bay Area! Thanks David and co. read more

I got new Staples chair which was delivered downstairs and the box was pretty heavy. Since I recently had lower back surgery, I was advised against picking up heavy things as I live on the 2nd floor. When I contacted Everest Moving and Storage, David was super quick to reply and quoted a very reasonable price. He came in the very next day and got the box up all by himself and also took my old broken chair to the trash. He was super helpful, polite and friendly. I am so happy with their services that I will be calling them for my every move I make! I highly recommend Everest Moving and Storage services :):) Big five stars! read more

David, Edgar, and Gabino made my move so easy and lifted a lot of stress off of my shoulders in just a few hours. One thing that really stood out to me is that they are problem solvers on the spot. Moving is messy and it's hard not to run into something that wasn't expected. I've moved many times and had to take up the role of problem solver in the past. These guys were on top of it, making sure everything got taken care of. They are also really down-to-earth while being professional. I'd recommend Everest Moving to any of my friends and family. read more

Used Everest Moving during our recent move from the Campbell area to North San Jose area. Communication was always fast, and David was very accommodating when I had to switch the move date to one day earlier. On the day of the move, David gave an estimate arrival time of 1pm-2pm. He showed up at 2:45pm and quickly got to work with his men. For a one bedroom 630sqft apartment, and everything in boxes, it took 6 hours to complete from loading to unloading. This was also with three men. I felt like this was a little long, but considering that they had to wrap furniture and tv's, they were moving pretty quickly from what I saw. Pricing is definitely competitive and nothing broke. So I call this a successful move. Although I do feel super bad that one of there dolly's was stolen from the complex during the loading stage. Goes to show that even a neighborhood you think is safe, isn't always the case. I recommend Everest Moving. read more

David has been a breeze to work with. He is professional, knowledgable and hard working. I would trust David with all my future moves. He takes great pride in his work and what he does. Returning customer. David and his crew helped me when we moved in 2021. I didn't even consider looking for anyone else. He was quick to respond and remembered me from 3 years ago!! Great team. Got in, got out. Courteous. Professional. The team had me cracking up with their jokes and conversations. I got really nervous and tense when they moved my upright piano which they dubbed, "The Beast." Side perk... I don't know how often this happens. David's wife went and got us all matcha lattes. I don't ever want to move again... but if i do... I know who to call. read more

If I could give a negative rating I would!!! they are a company that is scamming people. Their quote increased over 50%, by the time they arrived to pack my things. They know you need to move so you have no choice but to pay. it is a complete scam, they didnt send a truck big enough. I had to give things away, sell thing, leave things and had to move my entire truck full of things. Yep, still had to move things myself after being scammed out of 5k over the initial quote! They played up caring about disabled Veterans, then gouged the price back and I hurt myself while having to move my stuff they should have moved. If that was not enough, they lost the legs to my dinning table and several things are damaged. I have to replace items I had to give away or sell real cheap in the rush to move before my home closed. It sickens me to think they are running this scam on people with disabilities and those elderly in our society. it should be a crime for how they operate. They will need to correct their wrong, because I will pursue it much further. read more

I was in search of a mover for my mom and David responded to my inquiry on Yelp and offered a very reasonable rate for a small move. He was so pleasant on the phone and I felt at ease after talking to him. I had to call him a week before the move date to cancel due to an unforeseen circumstance and he was understanding of the situation and was so kind. I called him again to reschedule the move (this time with storage) and he was flexible and accommodating to my needs. On the day of the move he showed up by himself and I was very happy with his service. He took very good care of everything and was efficient. I highly recommend this company. read more

This was my third move with movers and the last two companies I gave 5 stars. We chose Everest Moving because they had the lowest cost for 3 movers of the movers who had good Yelp ratings. We called them and they seemed happy to be flexible. We had them pack half of our belongings (we already packed half). They said they would be flexible in using whatever packing materials and boxes we had and bought some extra stuff just in case (bubble wrap and brown paper). When they arrived they informed us we would only get two movers at a higher hourly rate per person, it was their standard fair but more per hour than we would've paid with 3. They also informed us they preferred specific packing materials and needed bigger boxes so I had an unexpected errand to run. They told me many times that packing took longer than expected even though he asked me to buy 40 boxes, I bought 20, and they only used 11. We bought them pizza for lunch because it was taking longer and it was a hot day. The workers seemed to enjoy the pizza which we were happy they did as we know moving is exhausting. This length was especially frustrating because my wife was 6 months pregnant and we took out the air conditioner to move but she had to wait. A third mover thankfully arrived after three hours, but it was about an hour before we drove, which meant we paid double-time for him during the drive. They made a pit stop (for an agreed price) to pick up some patio furniture we found which we were grateful for. This we could not have done without them. We labeled the boxes we packed and gave them a map of the house so they would know where to put them, they also labeled the boxes they packed. They refused to look at it saying it was too much to remember (it is a 3 bedroom 1 bath house we moved to). My wife also put up labels on each door to make it easy. Still, they kept putting labeled boxes wherever they felt unless my pregnant wife was there to direct every box. During the move, I was constantly asked if we wanted to move everything (seriously I was asked about 20 times). They asked about a bulky armoire around 5 times - finally, after moving it they dropped it and put a large scratch in the armoire. They didn't apologize they just argued with each other about whose fault it was. They also noted that they broke a mirror to which I thought - no big deal it happens. Then they told me that they did not wrap it up and simply hung it from the door without securing it. They paid us for the mirror but left it for us to dispose of. I know it is my job to double-check if everything was packed. I signed off without checking thoroughly, and unfortunately, that was a mistake. We found all of the medicine cabinet not packed, all of our plates, bowls, and a few of favorite storage containers in the cupboards were left behind. We tipped the movers in the end because I know they still worked hard and it the cost of living is tough in the bay area. While unpacking we found a lot of odd surprises. They packed our bleach (which I'm pretty sure is illegal) upside down in our box with other non-cleaning items. We had a metal wedding picture which they bent to get into a box, part of the backing off of our first professional family photo was torn, and they we weren't informed about any of these things. I do not recommend Everest Moving Company. Note: I will post pictures of my receipt and a broken mirror. read more

EDIT: The owner contacted me and understood how frustrating the experience was. He returned $300 of the money out of his own pocket to keep me, as the customer, satisfied. 4 stars just because I had to go through this. __________________________________________________ MAIN COMMENT: I moved from a 1 bedroom in Mountain View to a 1 bedroom in SF. It took them 9 hours 15 minutes and they charged in $1300. ($120 per hour for two workers) Everything was packed in 22 boxes before the movers arrived and all they had to do was: Move 22 boxes, 1 bike, 2 sofas, 1 bed, 1 dresser, 2 TV stands with their TVs and a coffee table. The two workers were working in separate rooms and whenever I walked in on them they were on their phones!! Then they kept telling me how they're taking care of it and they are working as fast as they can. I would not recommend working with them or at least get them to commit to some price by showing them the place. I ended up moving boxes and light weight items just to get it done faster ... God knows how much I would have paid if I didn't move the boxes myself! read more

10/10 overall service. Would absolutely use them again and will be calling if I ever need to move. Highly recommend!!

I contacted David at the last minute for a next day move and not only did he respond right away but he was able to accommodate an early afternoon start time since I had to work in the morning and could only be home after 12. David and team were prompt, responsive, communicative, and friendly. They moved my 2br condo and a small carport storage to my new place quickly and efficiently... including breaking down and reassembling my bed and a heavy dining room table. Before they left they made absolutely sure I was ok with where everything had been placed and offered to move anything that I might need in a different location. They even plugged my bedroom lamp in for me behind a heavy dresser so that I wouldn't have to try to do it myself later. Very thoughtful! I truly cannot say enough good things. Nicest people ever and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!! read more

If you are looking for hardworking and trustworthy movers, stop looking any further and call Everest Moving. I have used them twice for out of state moving from CA to WA. The first move was (I believe) a 26 foot truck and the second move was in a 17 foot truck. First Contact - When I first started looking for movers and I had initially reached out to 5 movers with great ratings on Yelp. David at Everest Moving was quick to respond and quickly set up a walk through of our house to give us an estimate. This process was quick and thorough unlike some of the other companies who took forever to respond and gave quotes, only to go back and forth with the price and play email tag. Since our move was out of state, there were many moving parts to it. We also had other big items in a storage facility in Campbell that had to be picked up after all the items from our home in Sunnyvale. Some of the other moving companies wanted to charge extra for the pick up at the second location and kept adding extra fees to their original quote. David made this process pretty painless. Moving Day (Tues in CA) - David arrived with his team and they quickly got to work. They were very careful with all of our items. They even wrapped an old sofa into a plastic burrito treating it like it was brand new. When I mentioned to David that he didn't have to be so careful with some of the older items he responded "Everything you own will be handled as if it were your treasure". The honesty in him and his team is praise worthy too. You would be surprised as to how many items and loose change you can find hiding underneath and inside furniture when moving. ALL items including money was put into a bag and given to me at the end. After they packed all our items from our home in Sunnyvale we drove onto the storage unit in Campbell. There they continued to work through the heat. Their work ethic and reluctance to eat or take a break was humbling. Move In (Thurs in WA) - We flew into WA on Wednesday and by Thursday morning David was already at our new home in WA, ON TIME! It was such a relief when David opened the back of the truck and I saw all of our items unmoved and safe in place. Again they took extra care not to scratch or damage our furniture and our new home. Moving is really stressful but David was very accommodating and always tried his best to match our schedule and time frame. We had Everest Moving do two moves for us from CA to WA and both times were great. The comparative price point was the best but most of all there were no hidden or added costs to the original quote. As I mentioned earlier all of our belongings were handled with the utmost care and carefully placed in the designated new rooms. Their services was not just an everyday moving of objects/ business transaction but an experience in which I felt they really cared and took pride in their work. I highly recommend them! read more

David and Leo moved us from Mountain View to San Luis Obispo and did a great job. For the all day move of a one bedroom apt, and packing the day before, I paid $2665, which was the lowest quote of about 10 people I called. My move was being reimbursed by work so it didn't factor too much into my decision. The great communication and responsiveness is why I decided to go with David. I am glad I did. He was super flexible and accommodating. The packing took all day the day before so I am so glad I paid extra for it. Well worth the extra cost for the ease. My move was a bit more of a pain because some items were staying in the apt, which probably made it confusing as to what stays and goes. Even so, David and Leo were fast and professional at all times. We have a LOT of stuff and they were able to pack it all in about 8 hours, and provide packing materials. I am also fully unpacked, and can say confidently that nothing is missing or damaged. Everything is in great condition, with a few expected nicks and scratches here and there. A few wine glasses didn't make it, but they weren't expensive. I wish I could have paid extra for them to unpack but alas, they don't do that. Also, our new house was being painted and the painters were in there working as the movers were moving. Not an ideal situation for anyone. David and Leo were super careful and we saw no dents or scratches on the walls/trim after the move. This was really important to us, and I appreciate them being so careful. read more
