We had our belongings at this location for about six months. The unit didn't have any issues with bugs,rodents,weather or theft. I would just recommend calling the office beforehand if you know that you'll need in person assistance to make sure it's in a timely manner. This place is terrible and so is the district manager that runs this place, I rented from them for 7 years, and I was given the worst customer service possible I am so disappointed in the specific store management is the worse, they don't appreciate loyal customers, do not rent from this location! 2 breaking in less than 6 months. Manager will not call me back. And they continue to raise my rates! Employee admitted that there are areas that they don't have covered at all with cameras and that the criminals know that. So if you happen to get one of those units you will be broken into on a regular basis! And they will do nothing about it! People at the desk are very nice and say they're sorry but that doesn't help very much does it? In addition they increase your rates very regularly very high. It's astronomical and criminal how much they charge and then to have no security and not care one bit when you get broken into. It's so bad it's almost a scam read more

Storytime! So my unit got broken into and robbed here. I didn't know until I came to get some stuff because the thieves had cleverly broken the latch in such a way that a cursory look would make it seem like it was locked (although a closer look would make it obvious that the latch was actually open). So that means that this place doesn't have cameras or inspect their units. I'd be shocked if other units in this place hadn't also been robbed by the same thieves. When I went to the office, the guy was like 'uh, it's my lunchtime.' OK man but you know you have hours and those hours say you're open and here I am, so maybe you should care a little that your units are being broken into? But no. I ask can he replace the latch, like, right away, so my unit can actually be closed and locked? He's like 'uh, no, maybe, I'll call' and ultimately no, could not fix it until the next day?!? I'm a little shocked but then again anything of value I had had already been stolen so you know whatever. I'm going on vacation the next day for a week. I'd requested that the manager call me when my unit was fixed. Common courtesy right? But no, no call. So I get back from vacation, get a friend with a van, go over there on the one day this week it's not supposed to be raining, and they've put a shiny new latch on and locked my unit with their lock! Great OK, I mean they didn't tell me this or anything but they're open, I should just be able to go over to the office and get a key, right? But of course, I dunno, maybe it's lunchtime again, but there's nobody there. Middle of the day on Saturday, they're technically open. I call, no answer. I leave a message. I call again half hour later, no answer, leave another message. Another hour, another call, no answer. I mean at this point what are they doing, just stealing the rest of my stuff themselves? So yeah, the upshot here clearly is to find somewhere else. When I finally did get my stuff I walked down my row, curious to see if there were any more brand new latches...and there were three more. So thieves know about this place and the management doesn't care at all. read more

Don't sign up at this place with any introductory rates as they will raise your rent massively every year or so. Brutally expensive. Better off renting an apartment to store you stuff than using these guys. Additionally, if you try and call in for support, they will ask you for the last 4 digits of your drivers lic. I gave it to them and they said it doesn't match their records. Don't know what to say as that has been my cdl number for over 20 years. Incompetence personified. read more

Working with Serena to book a storage unit at 620 E Arques Ave in Sunnyvale, CA was an absolute pleasure! I'd give her 6 stars if I could: Serena was extremely friendly, helpful, and patient both over the phone and in person. She helped me evaluate at all of the available options to find the best solution and deal to meet my needs, including working with their sister location right down the street. When I checked out the units in person, I wanted to make sure my largest item would fit moving in and out of the unit. Serena was ready with a long tape measure so I could ensure the space would work. She was able to easily answer all of my questions. I HIGHLY recommend this location as well as Serena personally. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.. there are several other storage places near this area.. . I had rented a unit for one month and called them a week before I moved, to let them know that I am vacating. The Lady asked me to come by the office after I vacate. I vacated the space and stopped by the office next day morning. The guy(property manager ????) said I have to remove two mattress in the hall way otherwise he will charge me $200 for the disposal. He wouldn't listen to anything I say and just repeats this " get rid of the mattresses or else I will charge you $200, you are the only one entered this property after I inspected the unit yesterday and the mattresses are yours. I want those out of my property by 5PM today" He talks rude, arrogant and shows no respect. I came out of the office and called him later (as he wouldn't listen when talking in person) and said that I will not remove the mattress as it doesn't belong to me and he can do what ever he thinks is relevant while I do the legal proceedings. End of discussion. Two minutes later after hanging up the phone, he calls me back and says that he found out who did it and my account wont be charged. really ????? What a customer service.. Never rent from Location .. Look out for your options. There are plenty of other rental agencies near this area. read more

This review is for all who are planning to rent. I rented a 10*10 storage unit on 10/23/16 and a guy named parvin helped me. We did the paper work quickly and everything was sorted out with good experience. When I entered the property at 7 PM on the same day, found that my unit was locked!!! I had a horrible time for next 1 hr with all my stufs loaded on a Uhaul. Luckliy found another 10*20 unit and put my stuffs there. My problem started the next day. When I reached their office this guy started lying that he told me "about locking system 3 times" but the only question he asked will I have my own Lock or not and to that I told "Yes". I am ready to pay extra bucks for the larger room but why lying!!! Talked to their district manager and she also said that, the guy Parvin told me about the locking system 3 times. So all the to be new renter please be careful during renting!! read more

Did not honor rate on ad. I clicked through to their site from a Yelp ad on the page for this location advertising $1 move in specials and landed on a web page whose title says $1 move in but the promo is not being honored. The manager said she would try to sort it out. I got a call a day later saying that the move in special advertised on the Yelp page for that specific location was not in effect, but that she could transfer my reservation over to a nearby location with a super good rate on an inside unit; I was in a noisy place and asked for the details in email, but agreed. Ten minutes later I got a call back that the rate she had quoted me over the phone was not valid, she quoted a higher rate, which still seemed reasonable. When I got home I saw that the rate in the email did not include the move in special, which was the whole reason I had agreed to the transfer in the first place. So... Deceptive advertising on Yelp, sleazy tactics by the manager, and of course the unit I had originally reserved is no longer available. And no move in special in either location. read more

I need to put my entire apartment in storage while in the process of buying a house in Southern California. This Public Storage on E Arques has the best rates and a great move-in special. When I arrived Diane was friendly and helpful. She showed me my unit and told me about the property. It was very reassuring that she lives onsite and is always available should there be an emergency. The checkout process was simple and she even helped me set up AutoPay. I feel very confident knowing that all of my worldly possessions will be here under Diane's watchful eye! read more

AND, I don't write many reviews, but I felt it was important to mention the exemplary service I received at that location from 2 very dedicated employees, Jennifer and Arvin were AMAZING!!! They literally held my hand during the entire process of securing a storage space for my stressful move. Arvin toured the facility with me and answered all questions with knowledge and concerns for my needs and Jennifer was diligent on the replacement of a burnt out bulb in the unit. With Arvin coming to the rescue again! Both employees are assets to this company and because of their due diligence I will return again and again whenever the need arises . read more

Have gone in twice to rent units. I worked in customer service for years and know how hard it can be both to give and to find excellent service. Imagine my surprise when two of the very best customer service experiences I've ever had were at this storage unit. From two separate employees (Serena and Mariela). On two separate occasions. I don't know how they've managed to train their employees to give such a high level of impeccable service, but I was completely and totally impressed. I'd never expect to receive such thoughtful service at a storage unit! The units were clean and had drive-up access. Gate codes and locks worked easily with no problems. We stopped in to this public storage to get moving supplies and were greeted by a very helpful, smiling face. The woman helping us was able to assist in determining what we would need, the costs, and offered suggestions for some of our odd sized belongings. I asked her if she might have a storage unit available in case we might need one, and since they did not, she offered to call other locations for us. Location is great. Diane, the property manager, is outstanding. She will go the extra mile, sometimes even on her personal time, to make sure that all units are properly locked, clean, and safe. Diane truly cares about customer service; She addresses questions or issues quickly and effectively, she's a gem! Our regret is that the headquarters consider our company as a "standard" client and keeps on increasing our rates regularly and randomly despite the fact that we have been clients for many years, have an impeccable paying record, and are renting 10 units. read more

Storage facility is located close to living quarters. Me and a friend used it to store things for our internship. We were unable to vacate the entire lot when we left, but Serena, the property manager, was very helpful to make sure that we didn't have to undergo a large fee for leaving a mattress in the cube.
