We had an outstanding experience with Goliath Moving and Storage and couldn't be more grateful for the care they took with our father's belongings. Javier and Camillo arrived right on time, were incredibly friendly and professional, and handled everything with great care. They packed meticulously while also working efficiently, making what could have been a very stressful day feel remarkably smooth. We had flown from Colorado to California specifically to supervise the move out of our father's assisted living facility, so it was extremely important that we hire a company we could trust and rely on. From our very first conversation with the owner, David, through the moment the final box was delivered, everything went exactly as we hoped it would. You may be able to find a cheaper moving company, but for us, Goliath was worth every penny. The peace of mind that came from being confident someone would show up, and knowing our family member's belongings were in the hands of people who genuinely cared was invaluable. These 5-star reviews are no joke! We highly recommend Goliath Moving and Storage to anyone looking for a dependable, careful, and professional moving company. They truly went above and beyond. read more

Amazing! When I read the all of the "five star ratings," I thought... hmmm. I'm here to tell you. This company, from first inquiry with "David," along with follow-up along the way, was outstanding!! The move day, the fellas arrived early and operated like a well tuned machine. They prepped the house to ensure not to cause damage to furniture or walls and doors! Packaged everything that needed to be wrapped and packed. Everything was loaded pretty quick and off they went. Right on time to my new place as well. The cost was very reasonable. We had "Javier" as our lead guy for the move. I'm confident, dealing with our three man crew, all Goliath Moving & Storage crews are top notch. I have already recommended them! read more

We reached out based on the amazing reviews and because we were in need to move from our current home to our new home. They were open and honest with their pricing from the beginning and let us know they had a minimum of 4 hours even though we had a sense it would take less time since our home was small. We did some of the packing prior to. They arrived 5 min before the appt time, they called and were so prepared. Upon arrival they were professional, FAST, efficient and respectful. They did have to pack a few lingering things we had and they packed it with care. I left my wallet out and so many things because I was in a rush and they brought it to our attention to make sure it didn't get lost in the move. They were done in 2.5 hours and really made our move much easier. Highly recommend them if you're looking for some great, efficient movers! read more

Goliath Moving and Storage was amazing to work with and handled our cross country move seamlessly. David was easy to communicate with and handled all the details. Thank you David and crews! read more

We had our home tented for termites and decided to hire Goliath to move out all fabric items (mattresses, couches, chairs, area rugs, and all the clothes we boxed up). All dishes, towels boxed, meds, and personal products. They came in and wrapped all our couches, chairs and rugs and everything was handled with care. They loaded everything in our truck and then returned to unpack everything after the tenting. They definitely made this stressful situation much easier for us. Would highly recommend! read more

It's cliche to write but I don't normally do Yelp reviews--even though I reached out to David at Goliath based on the Yelp reviews. So, I felt like it was necessary to write another "more than satisfied customer review" for a great moving company to help others who are at loss on who to choose for movers! They are every good thing written here and more. We had a local move, but had a rental house and several storage units in two different storage locations to move into newly renovated house. David was a tremendous help in helping me navigate timeframe to move (we ended up needing three full days of movers over two week period.) Pricing was also very fair and upfront based on time and number of movers needed. The movers, Javier and crew, were exceptionally fast, professional, and fun to work with (if moving can ever be fun.) We are hoping to stay in this house a very long time, but if we ever had to move again, we will definitely be using Goliath again. read more

It was a delight to work with David and the team! They had attention to the details and guided us through the process. This was a long distance move (within California) and had to keep the all the items in storage for about 2 months. Everything was delivered to the final destination as they were in an excellent condition. David and the team were knowledgeable and flexible in case I missed something. I would very strongly recommend Goliath Moving although I hope this is my last move! read more

We were so pleased to get to work with Goliath again, helping us move furniture around in our home to accommodate a recent renovation. David is unfailingly helpful and flexible, and works hard to make sure you get what you need, at a very fair price. His crew is on time, respectful, fast, and good at their jobs. Thanks again David for another brilliantly easy interaction! read more

Finally, The moving eam worked really hard the whole time without a break. I highly recommend Goliath Moving and Storage. read more

I am STILL in awe about how Goliath movers moved me in a couple of hours! I moved from one 3 bedroom house to another with a lot of stuff! Two pieces of furniture had to be completed dismantled and reconstructed again! This team made it look like MAGIC!!! EVERY DETAIL was done with care - not a scratch on new refinished hardwood floors! If you need a mover that takes all the stress out of moving, this is the team you want. THANK YOU AGAIN! still can't believe you got my large cabinet dismantled and put back together soooo fast! read more

Had a great experience with Goliath. I hired them for packing and moving, and the team was punctual, polite, efficient, and handled all the curve balls thrown their way with aplomb. Everything got packed and moved with no problems and a bit of good humor. They even stayed late to help assemble some shelving I had ordered (because they could tell I clearly needed it!). Would absolutely hire them again. read more

Great job in communication by David and the crew who helped me pack and get me moved into a substantially smaller spot was terrific. They assisted in getting an extra bed over to my Auntie in assisted living and even took care of the old one for me. I highly recommend Goliath! read more

Amazing service! I used Goliath for a move 6 years back and was very excited to use them again for my most recent move to a much larger space. David was incredibly helpful and a communicative throughout booking and the entire move. When we cleaned out a family home last year, we were referred to Goliath Moving by our realtor. We had items going to three different houses. The crew wrapped all items carefully and were careful to not bump walls or doors. They loaded the items in the truck by each household. They were courteous , the price was fair and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use them again. read more

What a great team that helped us move from Santa Clara to Lincoln CA. The guys were professional, fun spirited as they spent countless trips up & down the stairs in the first house. I have to believe they were thankful the destination was a single story home. Our "treasures" were handled & wrapped with care and delivered without any issues. We will recommend & use this wonderful company again if the chance ever happens. Thanks so much for the easiest part of our relocation. read more

We recently used Goliath to relocate from Northern California to SoCal. They had been recommended to us by two friends that had used them over the last couple of years. Everything went so smoothly, we didn't have a single breakage or issue. David and his team are very professional, friendly and courteous. They were a pleasure to have in our home. The pricing was upfront, honest and competitive. They did such a great job and took care of everything with ease. We couldn't recommend them enough, if you are moving, choose Goliath, you won't find anyone better to handle your move. read more

We recently hired Goliath for a move from Pacifica to Montara, moving from an apartment to a home. David conducted a facetime walkthrough of our belongings a few weeks before the scheduled day of the move, and followed through confirming the move date a few days before "go time." He had three movers and a giant truck show up for the job. We thought we did a better job of packing but luckily the team also had tons of boxes, tape and moving blankets to assist us. One of the movers helped pack our beer collection carefully (which took 1 1/2 hours)! The movers were professional and very careful with our stuff. They helped us pack, loaded and unloaded the truck in about 8 hours, which was impressive considering the amount of stuff we had! We will definitely recommend Goliath Moving to our friends! read more

I don't do many yelp reviews, but felt it was important to share my experience. I moved from the San Jose area to the Central Valley and called several moving companies As we all know moving can be very stressful, but David the owner came through with everything he promised. I knew from the first call I wanted to do business with him based on his knowledge and his commitment to making my move effortless. David had one of his guys (Javier) come out the day before the move to pack my kitchen and he did an excellent job and worked very hard and fast. The following day was the move. Javier and his crew were exceptional, hard working, courteous and always accommodating. This all came with a very fair price. I would highly recommend Goliath Moving & Storage. read more

The most amazing moving company! I called for a quote + to set a date. David, the owner, answered all my questions and booked us for the move. It's $195 per hour for 3 men, plus a very small fee for the drive time, and 5% discount if paid with cash. There is no deposit, he just asked for us to give him a call if we ever needed to reschedule. David confirmed our move couple days before the move through email, and called the night before the move too. We had the 8-8:30am slot, and they showed up right on time (even before we did). They moved an entire unit of 10x20 from a storage unit, into a 5th floor 3bed/2bath unit in about 3 hours. They also wrapped some of our furniture, did not let my husband do any of the moving (for insurance purposes), and nothing was broken/missing. Everyone was very friendly, fast + efficient. Could not be happier with this moving company. Thank you so much! My parents are moving next month and they booked Goliath through our recommendation. read more

This was a great experience from start to finish. I didn't get other quotes as I was referred to them by a close friend. The quote didn't change either which is something of concern with other movers. The team showed up on time and worked very hard packing up. I've had the privilege of referring David O'Callaghen and his team to several of my local clients who needed moving and storage services for their remodeling projects. David and Goliath Moving came highly recommended by another family who recently moved with them. Once I spoke with David I didn't even bother to talk with any other movers. The following week he stopped by in person, took time to thoroughly answer all of my questions, and gave me a very fair written estimate. On the day of the move, the crew of three arrived on time and immediately got to work. Organized, professional, efficient, and courteous...I was so impressed with how hard and smartly these men worked as a team. Everything was loaded and unloaded in perfect condition in UNDER the estimated time. I felt completely confident and at ease through the entire process. read more

Don't even know where to start. I've always moved myself and my own stuff. Everyone was so patient. Then came moving day. In 4 hours, 3 guys moved 2 bedrooms worth of stuff from 2nd floor to a 2 bedroom on a third floor 4 miles away. I had planned and budgeted for thousands of dollars and a day's worth of time. Just spectacular! I just can't begin to thank them all and if I ever have to move again, they're on my speed dial. read more

Goliath just finished our second move with them. There is no one else that we would have used. The first move was from San Jose up to the Santa Cruz mountains. It was a challenging move, with a small one lane road that required the crew to move our things multiple times. The crew was on time, amazing, patient with the things that were not packed and ready, and very careful with all of our belongs. The second move was down that same narrow road and out of state to Washington onto one of the islands. Again, Goliath was an amazing help, showed so much care, and complete professionalism. When they left things were where I wanted them, and everything cleaned up. David and his crew show such care for their customers. Going above and beyond. They took the time to help my young daughter find one of her blankets, and even helped catch a chicken that was attempting to escape. His team is booked far in advance but is worth the wait. No other movers will take the care that they do. read more

We just did a whole day move with Golaith movers taking furniture from two houses into one. The crew was absolutely phenomenal! Everyone was super nice and professional. They took care of our delicate furniture, plants and flooring very well! Even helped us move laundry machines over. Very impressed with the job! David, the owner (and mover himself) is very personable and professional. He came to our house to do a walk-through, listened to our needs and explained very well how they will disassemble & pack the furnitures. Later, I had additional questions about the move on various days, I would text him and David would respond ASAP and would give me very good suggestions on how best to move my things. Another thing I really liked was their quote includes a maximum spending amount. We did go over time by couple hours (due to several complicated furniture peices) but they stuck to that max amount charge. We had a couple old chairs that were scuffed a bit from the move that we didn't even think it was a big deal. But when David saw them, he offered to take care of then replace us with new chairs! All in all, we are super impressed with the crew. I know they are a young company. I am sure they will do very well in the future!! read more

I would give this business 6 stars if I could. Moving is tedious and stressful and everyone hates it. Til now, I've always moved myself from place to place and hated every minute. This time I just couldn't do it and decided to splurge & hire movers, just for my own mental ease. I originally was going to go with a larger, pretty popular company in the area, but I changed my mind when they started tacking on hidden/surprise fees that I just couldn't afford. I found Goliath Moving & Storage on a random Yelp search and made a phone call that connected me directly with David, the owner. From the beginning, David made me feel comfortable, assured and that I was getting a fair bargain (especially for the same day delivery, that alone made it worth the rate). He did a video chat walkthrough with me through my apartment to see all that I needed moved, and told me what to expect upfront. He was very easy to communicate and keep in touch with. The teams in both locations worked so hard. They move FAST. They were all efficient and friendly. They provided hanging wardrobe boxes for me so that I didn't have to pack up clothes hanging in the closet, which THEY packed for us on the morning of the move. They allowed us to keep our folded clothes within the dressers during transport (this was a godsend). We had TVs, framed posters, a coffee table and quite a few boxes, some of them very heavy--everything was quickly and securely padded and wrapped, nothing was damaged. The work ethic, professionalism, and overall experience of working with the company made it worth every penny. Hire Goliath Moving & Storage, you will NOT be disappointed. read more

Goliath Moving was very responsive right away, and were flexible with all my questions and requests. They charged fair rates, and I felt like all my stuff that was going to be moving was in good hands. The quoted time they provided was right on the money, given the amount of things I needed to have moved. David, the owner, fully communicated with me throughout the setup, and was actually present at the time of the move. When we arrived at the place I was moving to, rain started to pour, so David reached out and said that it'd be better if we waited for the rain to stop, and that he wouldn't charge me anything extra for the time we waited. That was great, because he sacrificed some of his time to make sure that my possessions were not potentially damaged from the rain. He still wrapped them with plastic, regardless, so he could've started moving as the rain was going, but he didn't want to take any chances to make sure that all my stuff was safe. That was greatly appreciated. I will be contacting Goliath Moving for any future moving needs I have, and I definitely recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys!! read more

Three different members of our extended family have used Goliath to move to Oregon. We all had a terrific experience with our moves. Goliath is locally owned, and you deal with the owner, David. he is great to deal with, and very fair in his pricing. His crews are polite, helpful, and hard-working.
