This restaurant is 13 min from my house. I live in Knightdale. This restaurant was amazing! So glad we tried it. There was a few 1 star reviews that almost made me not come. They are unfounded. Maybe they ordered mild spice and that was why it was bland. I recommend the medium which is just the perfect blend of spice. We ordered the chicken tikka masala and curry chicken. Both were on point. We also had the garlic nann which was amazing. 1 review mentioned a smell. I did smell it but it wasn't overwhelming like she said. Maybe she was pregnant lol. The food is worth the very minor smell the restaurant has. Service was good too. If I could give 6 stars I would! This was better than an Indian restaurant I tried in Durham recently and that's saying something. read more

What an awesome find in Downtown Wendell. The food is absolutely delicious. So nice to have a delicious and authentic variety without having to drive into the Raleigh traffic. The drunken noodle, curry chicken, spring rolls, garlic naan bread, and gulab jamun were absolutely delicious. Also, the free crunchy cracker that's served as an appetite opener was this very flagrantly spiced, thin cracker with a delicious dip. The only reason why I didn't give it a 5 star is because the place did not look all that clean. Finally a Indian restaurant close to Clayton that has good food! We only tried the Indian dishes this time but will be back to try the rest. The chicken and lamb dishes were seasoned well and I had the lamb vindaloo extra spicy and it had the perfect amount of heat. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I love the variety of foods they offer and like to try new items. That said the seasoning has been very inconsistent. I like some heat (mild to moderate) and my husband likes fiery. I've had items come out that were borderline for him. If they could get the seasoning down, I'd be there once a week, but never knowing if I can eat the dish or not makes me hesitant to order. read more

This is our new favorite place for take out. Thai and Indian dishes we have tried have all been consistently flavorful and delicious. My colleagues and I decided to venture into Wendell to try Everest Kitchen. We all wanted Indian cuisine. Service was attentive but a bit slow for the small lunch crowd that was there. The restaurant offers a variety of different foods. American and Thai was present on the menu. I ordered Vindaloo chicken that was really tasty. The heat was perfect! My visiting UK colleague had Vindaloo lamb and he mentioned that it was tasty and fairly decent. My other two colleagues ordered the Tikka Masalla and was very pleased. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because the garlic naan bread was lack luster and was an additional charge. Will definitely return. read more

It's hard to find good Indian food around the Wendell/Knightdale area. I'm from Long Island, aka the mecca of Indian cuisine, and I'm proud to report that Everest Kitchen does not disappoint. Disclaimer: I have not had the rest of their menu (American, Thai, Chinese) so I can only speak to the Indian selections. The tikka masala and palak paneer are out of this world. The naan is a little doughier than I'm used to, but it still has very good flavor. The mango lassi is a delicious drink to wash it all down with, and the gulab jamun is the perfect sweet way to wrap up your meal. Portions are great, prices are too, and service has always been friendly and welcoming. I love seeing this place packed on the weekends! Keep up the good work. :) read more

Don't order the ramen. It's says traditional but it misses all the marks, noodles tasted like the instant stuff. There was no broth whatsoever, presentation looked like mush.
