The food here was more 3.25 stars and the service was 4.5. I'm also used to really, really good Indian food in the west coast so my standards are quite high. Garlic Naan - good, but very, very buttery (too much for my taste) Tandoori Roti - texture was great, however, the roti was sweet which was odd for us as we've never had sweet roti Paneer masala - sauce was nice and sweet, but the paneer texture was thick, not bad, just thicker than I've ever had before and it takes you by surprise as paneer is typically soft, but this one was not (not hard, just not soft). My husband liked it though, but me not being a big fan of cheese in general I'm more picky about that. Aloo Tama Bodi - I liked this dish, it was very different and well made, the spices were a good blend and had a kick unlike the other dishes. My husband didn't like the bamboo, but I did. Asparagus Aloo - my husband liked this best, I thought it was decent, nothing too special but definitely a unique dish. Overall a good meal and rice comes with each dish so bonus, however, I do caution that their spice level is not very high. We ordered everything medium and all the dishes were barely spicy. If you like spicy, make sure you order it such and let them know you want it spicy, otherwise you'll get weak spicy and nobody likes that! read more

Two stars to indicate not a horrible experience, but I probably won't be back. I've had both the dinner service as well as the lunch buffet. In both scenarios service was good and friendly and we were well taken care of, but the food just left something lacking for me. I didn't find a lot of flavors in the curries and other dishes. For me a curry should be thick and have a lot of flavor and the versions here seemed a little watered down. For me in the valley Bombay House and Guras in Herriman are better options. read more

My family has been eating here for a while. The manager's demeanor is generally never friendly, never smiles and is poor at communicating. Sometimes the chicken tikka has been a bit hard and dry but we have never complained. We have always maintained a friendly demeanor regardless of our experience. However, recently we ordered takeout out the tikka and it was inedible. Very dry and burned. We had tried to eat some of eat but it was bad and had to just toss some into the garbage. Another dish that we had was almost the same. So I called to let him know and he said he would remake the order free of charge. So, I packed it up and drove there to show him and pick up the other dish. Upon showing him he complained to me that since we ate a small portion that he would charge us for the replacement order. I said, do you want me to go get the rest of the burned stuff and bring it back to prove we didn't eat it? He said, no one else has complained about the food and thus proceeded to charge us for another order. Either he was insinuating we were trying to take advantage of him by lying about the food quality or that we were trying to get a half free meal. You would think someone would apologize for our unpleasant dinner experience and take time to drive 10 minutes back down to his restaurant and try to make it right. He has terrible customer service and had enough. We will never go back again. We will seek out another Indian restaurant that has good quality food commensurate customer service. Best Nepalese and Indian food in Utah. Don't waste you time going to Saffron Valley, Indian Palace, or Bombay House because they don't compare to this place. The curry flavors are complex and don't taste like some store bought curry blend. It was the best tasting curry I have ever had. The Nan is awesome. It was perfectly cooked and even had some burn edges that added to the flavor. The rice was perfect. The rice at other places is either over cooked or under cooked, or just dry. Beware of arbitrary Buffett pricing - We had a bad experience where they suddenly charged a full buffet price for a 5 yr old whereas they used to charge kids price a couple of months ago. I paid it but asked the waiter to show me where this pricing is mentioned but he was defiant and said that it is the rule though it is not written any where! Tasty overall, but there's room for improvement. We enjoyed both our curries in flavor and heat, especially the Saag with Tikka Chicken. Our waiter and service were prompt and kept our glasses full, which is nice. The naan was great and a strength but the paneer was very disappointing-- it was too firm and unsightly cubes of different sizes. Luckily the gravy/sauce was good and made the paneer bearable. I was hoping for a more homemade-like taste and look when it comes to paneer. Prices are good, but portions are a little bit smaller than I'd expect. We came here after a birthday party for a late lunch and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food on the lunch buffet. I came to like Indian food after being taken to Bombay house and this is close to as good. We took the kids as well, who are typically pretty picky eaters and they ate everything. I usually stay away from Buffetts because I don't like the idea of self serve food from a cleanliness perspective, but the servers there kept a very close eye on the buffet line and kept it implacably clean and organized. Thank you groupon for helping me find this little gem. I never would have found it otherwise. The service was prompt, everything came out very hot, and they were sooooo nice. The host/waiter ends took time to teach my son how to say hello, goodbye, and thank you in Nepali. We went in a group of 5 and started with chicken momos, vegetable samosas and chicken pakora. The samosas and pakoras came out very hot and crisp. I love the tamarind sauce they came with. The momos stole the show. They were delicate, I perfectly spiced and the sauce they came with was fantastic. For the entrees, we had lamb biriyani, Everest lamb, chicken annapurna, chicken tikka masala, mango chicken and the chicken chow chow noodles. We also got plain naan and tried the cheese naan. I didn't care for the cheese naan. It was good, I just like plain better. I didn't care for their tikka masala. I thought it was a little too tomatoey and Smokey. The chicken annapurna was really good, I love the coconut milk in it. The mango chicken was sweet and my mom can't wait to go back and have that again. The lamb biriyani and Everest lamb were both excellent. I loved the flavors in the Everest lamb. I don't know what they out in it but whatever it is is DELICIOUS!! I can't wait to go back.
