The fried calamari is too breaded and too fried, but it passes for bar food. Rating 6/10 The nachos have a good amount of crunchy chips with a decent amount of toppings including guacamole and jalapenos. Rating 7/10 Seating is spacious and comfortable but tabletops etc can be a bit sticky, like at many other bars. Good sports vibe and energy from the patrons.

I'd actually be interested in coming back on a weekend to see what the place is like when it's really buzzing. We started off in the back room watching some football, which made for a nice, laid-back setup. We ordered our food and drinks back there as well. The bartender was cool once we got to order, although it did take a little longer than expected for him to get to us considering it wasn't particularly busy. The Dutch Boy Burger was easily the standout for me. Really good and definitely something I'd order again. The truffle fries were solid too, although I've had better elsewhere, and the garlic tenders were good as well. No complaints on the food overall. For my drink, I tried the Purple Thing. It definitely lived up to the name visually -- really cool presentation and an eye-catching drink. Taste-wise, though, it was a little peculiar for me. Not necessarily bad, just probably not something I'd order again. Later in the night they closed the back area, so we had to move into the main section, where we continued hanging out for the birthday. Overall, I enjoyed Franklin Park. Good food, relaxed atmosphere, and a nice setup for hanging with friends and catching a game. I don't think a quiet Monday gave me the full Franklin Park experience though, so I'd definitely come back on a weekend to see how the vibe changes when the place is really active.

I'm usually not a fan of aguachile, I've had it at several places now but Landmark's version is the best one I've tried. If we weren't going to order so many dishes, I definitely would've gotten another order. Classic ceviche was a lil too acidic for me but L loved it. Fish tacos were good too. We're not a fan of truffle oil but L wanted to try it. Fried nicely. Love yucca.. we could taste the watermelon in the tuna ceviche. L was afraid it would be too sweet but it wasn't, he enjoyed it. The corn was really rich. We both had a sample of the corn and lomo saltado. Lomo was a bit salty for me, it's cut into little pieces. Different from the more authentic versions we're used to but it was interesting.. we took both leftovers home so we could mix it with plain rice to balance the saltiness. Service was excellent. Recommended to others and they loved it as well. The drinks were really good but strong. The frozen passion fruit margarita was my favorite, we ordered another. 1-2 drinks might be enough to get drunk but I had 5 which isn't my max usually but at Landmark.. I really should've stopped at 3 but I usually try most the menu if I can. Our server was so nice...Great atmosphere. Very big spot for locals around the neighborhood. Lots of families with young kids. Tried walking in around 5:30pm on a Friday and it was PACKED. Service was friendly enough, but inattentive. Host told us it would be about 10 minutes for a table in the back but we could sit at the bar in the meantime. He then forgot about us even though we checked back in about the table and proceeded to seat people who came in after us. We ended up just ordering at the bar. Servers brought us the wrong dish and forget our side of jalapeños. Food: this was the biggest miss unfortunately. Nothing was inherently "bad", just missing seasoning. -Queso Fundido: added chorizo. This was by far the best thing we got. It's very greasy so beware, but it's so good. Cheesy, salty, oozy, savory goodness. -Guacamole: this needed more seasoning all around - salt, garlic, lime... it was bland. -Al Pastor Tacos: again, lacked seasoning. Was very bland and meat was dry. Would not order again. -Chicken Tacos: these were pretty flavorful. Nothing crazy, but I would order this again. -Side of Rice & Beans: nothing crazy here. Standard, but fine.
