Gonna sound a bit pretentious, but the caviar dish would be better if served with the accoutrements on the side rather than all in one dish/bowl and swap the accompanying chips to kettle style as the ones we have were too flimsy. That said, after multiple visits, the service has consistently been the weak point. It can be slow and doesn't quite match the upscale experience or price point you'd expect from a rooftop like this. At these prices, I'd expect a level of service closer to what you'd receive at a high-end resort, and unfortunately it hasn't been there. You're definitely paying a premium for the location and view. I'd still recommend checking it out, especially for drinks, sunset, or a date night, but keep your expectations realistic when it comes to service and value.

I hate leaving anything less than a positive review because I've actually enjoyed coming to Ocean's…read moreEleven over the years. Even though I somehow manage to lose almost every time I visit (the players always seem to beat me! ), I've always had a good time overall. The atmosphere is usually fun, the staff has generally been friendly, and I have to give credit where it's due--the house chow mein is phenomenal and honestly one of my favorite things to order whenever I'm there. Unfortunately, my experience on August 4th between approximately 7:30 and 8:00 PM completely changed the tone of the evening. The dealer working Table 19, Matt, was incredibly rude and came across as if he didn't want to be there. It wasn't just directed at me either--it seemed like everyone at the table noticed his attitude. You could tell by the reactions from the other players that they were just as surprised by how he was interacting with guests. As a General Manager of a restaurant, I understand better than most that customer service isn't always easy. We all have stressful days, difficult guests, and moments where we'd rather be anywhere else. Hospitality can be exhausting. But at the end of the day, whether you're serving food or dealing cards, you're still in the hospitality industry. Guests are choosing to spend their money at your business, and your attitude can completely shape their experience. I'm not expecting someone to be overly energetic or fake, but a smile, some professionalism, and basic courtesy go a long way--especially in a position where tips are part of the job. I would encourage management to review the camera footage from Table 19 during that time frame. It should give a clear picture of the interactions that took place. If possible, speaking with some of the players who were at that table may also provide valuable feedback, as it definitely didn't seem like I was the only one who felt uncomfortable with the experience. This review isn't meant to attack the casino as a whole because I've genuinely had many enjoyable visits here. It's simply disappointing when one employee's attitude overshadows what has otherwise been a place I've enjoyed coming back to. I'm giving 2 stars because I still like Ocean's Eleven overall, the food is excellent, and I've had plenty of great experiences in the past. I just hope management addresses situations like this so future guests receive the welcoming experience that keeps people coming back.

The rooftop has such a pretty aesthetic with the umbrellas, decor, bar, and plenty of shaded seating. The view was nice, too! The Bananarama drinks were 10/10. They're non-alcoholic, super yummy, and SO cute. Honestly, I'd go back just for those. My breakfast sandwich with the potatoes was also really good solid 7/10. My mom got the butterscotch donuts and said they were to die for A few things could be better: the paper menus looked pretty worn compared to the cute menus I'd seen online, and some of the outdoor pillows definitely looked like they needed a wash/replacement. I also noticed that some of the food I saw people raving about on Yelp is from an older menu, so definitely check the current menu before getting your heart set on something. Overall, I'm glad I finally got to experience CocoCabana. Cute atmosphere, chill Sunday morning, good food, and those Bananaramas were bomb!

And honestly, that would be cool if the flow was there, but you can kind of tell that all the ideas aren't fully there yet. For starters, the drinks are expensive, which I get because you're in Oceanside by the beach and I'm sure rent isn't cheap. But man, I paid $18 for a coffee-style cocktail and it was pretty bad. They put this whipped cream on top that just didn't work with the drink and was actually pretty nasty. They definitely put alcohol in it, which was good I guess, but overall it was probably one of the worst cocktails I've had in a while. My wife and I also walked up to the bar and waited to be attended. One of the waitresses was busy cleaning and organizing things, going back and forth from inside to outside, while another waitress was socializing with a group of guys for probably 6-7 minutes before noticing us standing at the front of the bar. I really don't mind waiting, but when you combine that with the quality of the drinks and the lack of attention, it just makes it seem like no one really cares that much. That's kind of why I made the comment in the beginning. The place has a cool idea behind it, but you can tell it's missing some of the professionalism and attention to detail that comes with running a good bar. The one thing that really saves this place is the view. It's a really nice view, and during sunset I can definitely see why people come here. Other than that though, I personally wouldn't spend my money here again.

Service was exceptional. Our server was genuinely kind and noticed small details about our family throughout the night, going out of her way to make sure everyone -- baby included -- felt taken care of. The ambiance is gorgeous. It's a smaller restaurant, but well appointed, with a visible open kitchen and bar that give it energy without sacrificing intimacy. It's family-friendly, but easily works for a date night too. Drinks were alcohol-forward and well made. Mine was similar to a very well-crafted old fashioned. For appetizers, we had the oysters and the pea soup. The oysters were very good, though the greens mixed in made them a bit tricky to swallow whole. The pea soup, on the other hand, was delicious. For mains, my wife had the sea bass and I had the pork schnitzel. My wife raved about the sea bass, saying it tasted a league or two above what the price would suggest. My schnitzel was equally delicious -- perfectly deep-fried, with vegetables on the side that cut nicely through the richness. Price came out to about $85 per person, which felt very reasonable given the quality across the board. All in, Piper is a wonderful spot for a special meal, whether you're bringing a baby or on a date night. Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Drinks: 4.5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Value: 5/5 Consistency: N/A

Not sure what the hype is. Our family came for a Sunday dinner and while the service was good, the food was overpriced and subpar. My shrimp burrito was $20. And I'll pay $20 for an amazing burrito, but this ain't it. Shrimp, cabbage, cheese and a mayo based sauce....blech. Lack of seasoning and really underwhelming. My husbands nachos looked impressive....but tasted meh and the cheese wasn't even melted, which was the same for my sons quesadilla. I wanted to like this place, but with the proliferation of damn good Mexican food in the area, it doesn't even come close to measuring up to the price point. read more
